You're wrong with the Praetorian it is a generalist and can hold it's own against things other assault mechs struggles with like a grunt or pawn spam, taking down defenses, air swarms are unsung hero's in killing t3 it's a work horse of a unit and cost effective for mid to late t3 when an opening comes other units and compositions fail due to being Reliance on team mates but this can run an opening and handles spam t2 defenses and gunship response teams all on its own. It's a great unit now after it's nerf. (PS: it used to be cheaper ;3)
I think the aa probably can one shot some t1 aircraft judging by the reload.
The green batteries are probably build power as that is represented by the color green. Also the new Geo is great for mid line encampments like geo spot on canon in all that glitters. Very useful.
Damn, the t2 drone vehicle slept on so hard Jaws didnt even cover it. It's a pretty strong unit with how much range it has.
Im still waiting on the official legion commander body pillow. That robot is THICC.

So the T2 vehicle con is still using the cortex model, The Daedalus is a triple antispam railgun t3 unit. Javelin is just a T3 strider so numbers are your friend :)

Legion models are beautiful! Preatorian feels like a T3 skirmisher. Long range rail-gun and napalm are for area control, not straight up fight. I really really need to try Infestor! How fast I could build an army out of one unit at someones beach?!
They are pretty great units! One nice thing is you can reclaim as you damage them!
Wow, I can't believe how quickly you've been able to do this! I thought we'd have to wait weeks at best for a much shorter video. Great effort, mate. On the question of which Legion unit is best to take on Titans, Juggernaughts, or Behemoths, it's the Daedalus. They have the range and speed to keep their distance, enough health to take a couple of hits from a Behemoth, and the DPS to take them out.

We need random matchmaking. I seen several low OS unrakned lobbyes killed by 30+ OS players. They come in grups of 5-6 and take over the lobby with boss vote, slap on ranked and farm their rating. I cant tell you how many low rated small team lobbyes I seen getting killed that way in the past 2-3 weeks. I realy think a OS reset are in dire need here since the ratings are screwed cause this behawiour.

Ahhh yes the exploiter! It’s a metal extractor not a turret persay but I should have definitely mentioned it here as well. Very strong defense
@JAWSMUNCH304 Yeah thanks, I just looked it up, and apparently a plasma cannon turret cortex can build on a geothermal.
I don't like these turn based only games, that style is very old and out of place now. X-com UFO apocalypse game showed that turn-based and real-time modes can coexist. This lets the player to choose whichever he/she enjoys.
Totally get that some people prefer something more fast pace. I like this game for how chill it feels while still being challenging
Hey Jaws, please do an update on Legion! There's a couple of new T3 units to check out, particularly the Daedalus. It carries a railgun with 2080 DPS and about 900 range, and machine guns for close range (and between shots from it's railgun). Their speed is about the same as the Mukade (61 or 62), so they are fast for T3. With a little micro, 2 or 3 can take out a Behemoth without loss.

It has extends line of sight from the camera. If you can get some early cams in the front line on good spots it gives you super good targeting
How do I separate land, air and navy from my selection? In FAF (forge alliance forever) there is an addon which lett you cycle through your selected units based on land, air and sea. Press the assigned hotkey once and you get control of the land forces in your selection. Press again and you get control of the air units. An other press and you get the navy units. On more press and you get back to the land units. In BAR I really struggle to for example only select my air units or land without air. Is there some hidden trick I missed? Please because I really want to play this game but cant stand to fiddle with this. Yours
It isn’t quite as simple unfortunately because all there is are alt groups. What I would do if I were you is set most land units to alt 1 then most air to alt 2 then most naval to alt 3. Best bet from my understanding to get what you’re looking for

Should probably have shown this in a real match instead of vs no one. Don't do an economy guide and also use a blueprint man.... General efficient build order is Mex, Mex Solar Mex (Solar or 3 wind (4 if veh) ) Lab of choice. If this is an eco guide why talk about sending the com forward to get metal? Often economy players will be sacrificing commanders to get faster T2. If you are playing front then yes the com moves forward and territory control is your main way to get metal income. Reclaim control is huge for economy, but the biggest tip is to not be making inefficient units at the wrong timing in game. (though that is a whole guide of it's own)

For ATG t2 timing should be first con out by 6 min at worst. What I like is just pumping out 8 cons for all teammates and transporting them to them. Teammates going t2 earlier is much more important than having better metal income (upgrading mexes)
Building 3 mex before solar is laaaazzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Don't be lazy in guides :( Always build that 30% of solar before 3rd mex, or just go 2 mex > solar > 3rx mex > 2nd solar. Much more importantly, Eco player's entire mindset should be in Current Energy, energy income /metal, energy income/metal/Bp. "What should I be doing with my energy" is a question you don't ask once, let alone 20 times because you're playing eco and it should be your singular focus. You're on a 3-12 map building wind you were talking about wind vs fusion like it was supreme.
I'm not a fan of the early Solar builds, typically Wind is much better energy per metal and early metal is often a stalling point. I usually only mix in solar when wind drops and I use space bar to interrupt orders.

Because its more consistent. So if the wind is always high. Yes its more efficient but not as much reliable as solar
I'll add my 2 cents: Whatever gets you to 60 energy right off the bat is the correct move. If that's spending 6 wind towers worth of metal for 2-4 wind towers of energy, that's what it takes.
solar is guaranteed and can be reclaimed for metal, wind is up to the well, wind. Personally I like doing a solar early so I can guarantee that energy early, reclaim later.
A few points: 1. Only make metal storage when really required for example if you wanna reclaim t2lab long before you got the t2mexes up (they give metal storage). 2. Build energy storages on demand, whenever you know you will need a huge buffer of E like for t2mexes or t2lab, build em exactly when overflow is about to happen and there is no other solution to spend energy faster, for example you dont need to build energy storage before conturret as that will drain your energy stored. 3. Build conturrets with much thought behind em, do you really need more conturrets? Do the placed conturret cover a lot of mexes? (if you got a T1transport you can move em around, then its not as important where placed)
0:32 to point out a little trick: instead of estalling on the 3rd mex which could/should stop your other 2 mexes from working, start the solar just before you hit 0 energy and come back to finish 3rd mex when you got ~50 energy, then back to solar again. Small performance boost.

If you're going into t2 vehicles it's well worth getting a few ambassadors/negotiators.
To do what? The thing is, you never want ambassadors if your opponent doesn't make you build them. They have ATROCIOUS dps per cost. half that of mausers, which are not a high dps unit. For just killing those rattlesnakes, it wouldn't be hard to just get up to say, 3 or so quakers, and then just omen push them. Spot them with an omen, blast them down. Rattlesnakes don't do very much dps. They rely on not being shot back to survive, and built on the absolute front line like that, it's not hard to just peck away at them. Frontally, that guy is actually building a rattle IN FRONT OF his scorpions. In this configuration, they provide absolutely no defense against even wolverines, let alone sheldons or quakers. My philosophy, firmly, is that' it's your OPPONENT'S job to make you build lower dps units. If he can't beat ticks, don't make maces. If he can't beat fiends, forget making sheldons. If he can't beat mausers, why bother with ambassadors? This is how you carry. You don't just win, you win quickly and efficiently. In my experience, basically no sub 20 OS players have the structure to their porc to even require you making high end artillery. Like look at jaws setup with the LLT's. His heavy laser is BEHIND his LLT's. That means that basically any unit can just walk up and range his LLT's, and then his mobile forces have to move out to engage, and all of this happens without his HLT even entering range. Basically, his entire front line can be engaged piecemeal in T1. And that's VERY high 20's OS. 7OS people? you don't need ambassadors. And for cost, ambassadors do like half the dps of mausers and have about 60% of the health. much less vulnerable, much higher impact unit.
@@timmietimmins3780 I think you are technically right and it'd be better to just invest into extra pushing units to help go win. I seem to find plenty of nice targets for my negotiators though. The psychological effect of the missiles coming in can nudge an opponent into making mistakes. It could be that I'm just a porc hater so I love my anti-porc tools too much.
I think the reason people mistake them for a bad unit is because they don't notice that light artillery (wolverines, hounds, sheldons, shellshockers) only does 15% of it's base damage at max blast radius, whereas heavy artillery (quaker, mauser, gauntlet/rattlesnake in high arc mode and to a lesser extent direct fire mode), get much higher multipliers to damage at max blast radius. So where a sheldon's 65% damage blast radius is basically nothing (under 15 units), the effective blast radius of T2 vehicle artillery is actually larger than a rattlesnake in direct fire mode, and only slightly worse than an ambassador rocket (about 70-75ish). It is very realistic to fire T2 vehicle artillery by radar, which you really can't do with T1 artillery. On a side note, I think you should put an omen far earlier in your build order. Omens are quarter of the price of an quaker, but can see further than a quaker can shoot. Also, you are misreading the hound weapon card. That bottom number, the 400, is the total of all the hounds weapons, but the hound cannot fire both it's weapons (direct fire gauss and arcing artillery) at the same time, so it is double counting the damage of the hound. In practice, the hound does 255 damage on a direct hit. (170 in gauss mode).
If the image links doesnt show you can google 'spring engine edge effectiveness' in that link there is a graph image which shows that 98% edge effectiveness does closer to 50% dmg at the 'edge' (95% ish of max range). At 60% edge effectiveness you would do roughly 50% of the dmg at 70% of max range. 0% edge effectiveness means linear falloff dmg. 100% edge flat dmg.
I always build an Omen (or equivalent) even if I'm not making artillery. The view and recon is worth it for such a cheap unit. Sometimes I walk them over to allies front lines so their static defences start hitting. Radar and recon is consistently underrated. If you love spy cams you should take radar units for the same reasons.
Just Started BAR. Played FFA etc... how the F do you make a Mex or factory go T2? in previous game you select the unit and it gives you the option. This is not the case.
Ahhh so you need to get a t2 factory first. If you go to the factory section with one of your t1 builders you will see a few new buildings that the commander cannot build. One of them will be a t2 factory of that unit type: bot to t2 bot factory, vehicle to t2 vehicle factory, air to t2 air factory. Hope this helps!

Honestly, if enemy can attack your AFUS you are doing something wrong in first place. Working on blueprints is nice but thinking that they are solution to afus chain is wrong way of thinking. I am not saying that you shouldn't do it but i hope you get the point it's about optimal mindset to improve and not get stuck on wrong things. Another point is that if you or anyone is concerned about chain reacting afus farm solution already exists which increases suirvability but reduces pure economic output. Build regular fusions and seperate them. They don't chain react as much.
