I love this so much
After see the video,I think I know why my mix is so muddy......
You are so talented, I really don't know how you come up with these sound design ideas.
make more videos :)
0:57 not the "magical splash flare" 😭😭😭
healthy
appreciate the 1440 upgrade very much. you’re my favorite.
How are your sources so wide? Are you recording them with a stereo mic setup?
All my mics are dummy thicc
@@noahsitrin9823 😂 I both love and hate this reply
there is no Unison Audio #ad #s🅱onsored so is it really a showcase of the top quality plugins?
Do you like this Promo mics? I got one but I haven't use it yet
Amazing setup! I have a question. How do you layout the sections like viewports?
This is super helpful! I just got some ultrasonic mics (the SO.4 from sonorous which also use the Primo EM258 capsules though they state their frequency response goes up to ~70kHz). Do you think it's worth recording in 192kHz sample rate or is that still overkill since these mics only detect 1/3 of that range? I feel like 96kHz is probably fine for these.
Depends on the recording subject and how noisy your mics are (one of my em258 capsules is noisier than the other), but definitely worth a try
@@noahsitrin9823 How are you able to get RX to show up to 70k on the frequency scale? I cannot get mine to go above 48000, even though my soundcard is at 96kHz and my files i'm working on are recorded in 96kHz. I've zoomed out and tried to type in the range "96000" but it stays at 48000. I'm on RX 11 Advanced
Nevermind just realized 96kHz is 48kHz for each channel, a 192kHz does show the same range as yours
@@DanielBastionMusic yeah nyquist theorem
Cool trick pitching down over time the tails. Everything is clipping tho, are you not concerned about reduced dynamic range and distortion, especially from analog style plugins?
If it ain’t clipping, it ain’t shipping
@@noahsitrin9823 Hahahaha nailed it.
bro what hahahahah
Cool! But, why would you want/need to boost up there?
I think it’s so that when it’s pitched down it keeps high frequency content
@@nadpher Ahh... Of course! Thanks!
@@ChromeArray yup, pretty common to varispeed pitch stuff down
First! Love your vids, Noah :)
always good content
16:17 dat saturn entrance tho
Awesome breakdown video! One question - how did you add the envelope for the varispeed playback rate on the decay media items? I can't see the option in take envelopes
Look for stretch markers in the actions menu
@@noahsitrin9823 Thank you man 🙏
Alan Becker?
you never fail to make my jaw drop... hella insipring!! <3
Damn, what a great channel, congrats man! I was curious, how do you come up with "solutions" to sound design "problems"? What I mean is, how do you know what plugin should be next in that long FX chain to achieve a certain result? Is it just a lot of experimentation? Also, how much would you say you use your own material (foley/synth sounds) compared to SFX libraries when working professionally? Thanks a lot!
Depends how much time I have, how many features I have to support, and how unique the design is I’m trying to achieve. Fun to do stuff from scratch, but not always practical. All that matters is what comes out of the speakers at the end of the day
@@noahsitrin9823 Do you see using libraries as "cheating"? I have a very bad case of imposter syndrome and as much as I love using libraries, it kinda fills me with existential dread of "not being a ""real"" sound designer" (whatever that means) and that I should be doing everything from scratch to prove myself (sorry for the vent, lol).
Would be cool if you live streamed the full process one of these days.
Do you know if Audio In on noise osc works in FL? I've never gotten it to work
I finally found a channel that goes over the exact stuff I've been looking for for a few months now tysm all of your videos that I've seen are SUPER helpful
👍👍👍
Every new video of you is like a birthday party. You should have a patreon (or an only fan but we are not here for that). I've learn more from you're youtube channel than everything else (including 10 years of working in post production). Merci and bravo Hope that I will match that level one day.
jesus christ the stereoscope in layer 6 lmao
Every video makes me realize I've got a looong way to go, absolutely love the textures you were able to make out of these recordings especially for the beam variant. Also your transients are always just perfect to my ears ❤
Ben Burtt was my role model until I found your channel
so many things for one sound… crazy
Incredible breakdown and so tasty your final results! You're a great inspiration to do different approaches from that simple (but impeccable) recordings. Cheers!
Cool, man! As cool as your posture
This is awesome. How are you automating varispeed per item? I've been digging for that but thought you could only do that via the master playback rate.
Stretch markers in Reaper
Very inspiring!
Super useful! Thanks for sharing your approach!
Super cool as usual, always well explained and useful

So cool! Is it possible to do something like this with Serum?
i tried so many times but i cant get the MratioMB sound like yours in layer 2 😭
lovely!
gizmo!
Hello, I found your video very interesting. The "cs_implode two monos into stereo" action is not present in my Reaper. Could you please tell me where you got it from?
The clip at the end showing you turning on each one at a time was awesome. I'm a mix engineer so i have a ton of plugins but not a lot of weird ones, so this is really a great way for me to see how they're actually used as i get more into sound design.
Thank you Noah!
