He said in the first one that he had another wl grange Whats the plans for the second one parts car or build or sell ?
i believe its complete and he is most likely selling i think from memory
I reckon a go fund me page for mouse! His a top bloke. Thanks for the story, mate
Mouse has definitely been through a lot, I can definitely relate apart from the Rocket 🚀 part, I’m a 52 year old Mechanic with a Nevro Spinal implant which was implanted in 2017 thanks to a druggo crashing into a customer car I was stationary in at traffic lights in 2011. Like Mouse I’ve been through the wringer, I just have one vehicle that I’m determined to restore, which is in a shed safely, I’m sure Like Mouse this is what is getting him going, providing motivation and a purpose in life, to focus on what makes him happy. I’m in Queensland and I’ll probably be looking for a new place for me and my car in the not too distant future 😅 life is hard after a back injury 💯 laying in hospital thinking of what needs to be done and time wasted that could have been better used, dreaming of the day the project will be completed was hard, but life goes on, all the best Mouse, maybe one day we’ll cross paths 😀
@trevorsmith9251 thank you for your comment and I really hope you are able to get back on the tools and to your passion 💪, best of luck! 🍻
Every car has a story and if you're lucky enough a back story too. Thats part of the enjoyment of owning some cars. The real enjoyment is sitting behind the wheel and driving them. Hope you get to do that with those Hardtops. Good luck with it Mouse
Hi twisty have you tried weld through primer it works well the company i worked for it was used a lot
@peterkennett9375 hey mate! Yeah I tried some copper coat type of stuff one time, but not proper weld through primer yet, does super cheap auto sell it??
Hay twisty just watching some of your past episodes let you know that wurth make a plastic two pack glue that is sandable and paintable just to let you know used it and works
@peterkennett9375 hey Peter, thanks for that 🍻. For what kind of purpose would I use it on? Maybe for dash repairs and plastic parts like bumpers? That would be handy
@@TwistedMetalCustoms yer it can be used on any plastic i have used it on tractor gyards, dashes, mudguards even used it on a radiator repair short term. It's a two pack mix and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to go off you can use it on air boxes and heater box
@peterkennett9375 oh yeah nice I'll have to get some!
@7:23 you said they care about the cars .... WRONG they care about the ROI , return on investment and what there worth , if they gave a $hit they would of gotten these cars in the 80s and 90s when they were worth nothing but they didn't . my dream car is sitting at a mates place uncovered like these xa,b,c coupes , its a rolling shell and i've been gathering parts for it , people always ask how much is it worth and why dont i sell it , i just smile they don't understand that an emotional connection has no monetary value it's priceless
@vcval yeah mate pretty much hit the nail on the head there! Thanks for watching and understanding, and I appreciate your opinion. I agree 100%, what about my 25 cars sitting out to "rot"? 🍻 👏 haha
@TwistedMetalCustoms i just had a quick look online for sheds . Pricing is a national secret ... if you have the space, sacrificing a couple to pay for basic rural shed no frills might be the go ? Opinions are like a$$holes. everyone has one
@vcval yeah I think he is only keeping 6 if them in total, so once he gets the property and shed built they all can fit in the shed hopefully 👍, sheds are expensive... just ask me! Hahaha
@TwistedMetalCustoms just seen on Facebook looks great , I hope to have a house and shed started this year so I can start restoring the VG mexicana wannabe
good on ya mouse, i understand i have a nerve condition called cidp from a spinal injury back in 2002 and i gave up on my toys for 8-9 years as my body failed and have just started back on them in the last 3 years due to imuno-globulin infussion therapy getting me some mobility back, ultimately they are your vehicles and yours to do with as you please. its great to hear your getting back into it, i can tell you enjoy the build process as much as the driving. its great therapy isnt it mate!!
Hi twisty tell mouse that none beleaver will always put someone down good on you mouse do what you can.
@peterkennett9375 exactly mate, most of the negative stuff doesn't even make sense, or if they watched it it would explain it all. End of the day, HE is the one that bought the cars, he can do what he like. To sad for them, they can have all the hissie fits they want, won't change the fact that he owns them and not them
None of those cars will get done unfortunately, not while in his possession... how exactly has he stripped the 3 fords down n put parts in storage when one of the blocks is just sitting in the dirt lol? Serial fibber that bloke.
You gonna turn the comments section off on this video to??
@4TheMotorist depends, if there is a massive load of ridiculous comments made by people judging without understanding the story the yeah. I can do that, because it's my channel 👌
@@TwistedMetalCustoms Yep. You can throw all the tantrums you like. Your product was glaringly riddled with faults. They were pointed out by enthusiasts who took the time to educate you. Instead of learning properly, you erased ALL the sound advice along with the rubbish & then tried to hide the stupidest of your mistakes. Try to make sense in the first place. TH-cam isn't just for fools, but I'm sure you can fix that.
@johnbrooks9523 lol, it sounds like you are the one throwing a tantrum pal, what "product" was riddled with flaws? There was only 2 mistakes made with information which we corrected in the last video. What "sound" advice would you be referring to? Happy for you to move on to another channel mate, I won't miss you here 👋
@@TwistedMetalCustoms They were not ridiculous comments, it was constructive criticism. Just remember, "you're the one who put it out there"!! If you dont like it, dont post video's. Another commenter has pointed the obvious out to you saying that your other video had other car enthusiasts pointing out their opinions and what not and just because you don't like that, you turn it off. Simple simple. I have experience in building Falcons so i believe that gives me the right to comment on such a cause. And i mean with no disrespect to either of you, You do what you want, what ever helps you sleep at night.
@4TheMotorist but that's the thing, none of them were constructive at all, saying they never will get done, or that he is wasting the cars etc etc isn't constructive at all.. there is a big difference between putting a man down and calling him all sorts of names because he hasn't got a full restored car collection compared to constructive criticism on how he can get them done, or suggestions on the easiest way to get the part fixed for eg.. so yeah I turned them off because they weren't useful. YES there were some comments that were ok and more on the supportive side, but over 100 of them were not. mainly that there was no reason for why they were in the condition (my fault) hence why we explained in the 2nd video. I guess everyone that was negative will just have to wait and see, maybe I'll do a follow up video in a year and see what has/or hasnt been done on them. I guess we will have to wait and see
You gotta love the internet experts, most of them probably don’t have cars anyway, good luck with the project Mouse
I like the music, love the sound of the 302, and the whole concept on this car is just awesome. I'm only half way thru my life at 55 and keen to build a creature like this. Good on you Twisty, great thinking in this one.
Thanks heaps mate, glad you are enjoying the video! I love the sound of the 302 too! Cheers 🍻
Still unsure about the XA GT/ XB GT Hardtop. Cant see how it can be the Number 2 XB GT if it was originally a XA GT. Why wouldnt they just use the Number 1 XB GT instead of wrecking the XA GT ? Where is the Number 1 XB GT ? And what number was the XA GT ?
@rhettcorbett3346 there was only 2 cars that this happened to, #1 & #2, this is the 2nd one that they sent for testing, no one knows where #1 is or what happened to it. Mouse could tell you more, I am pretty sure xbs weren't producing yet that's why they used a XA, the September date on the plate is a giveaway
So it still has the XA Compliance Plate on it ? Even though it was rebadged as a XB GT. Any updates on the build process of the XA / XB GT ? I reckon it should be built back to a XA GT Hardtop as it is only a pretend XB.
@@rhettcorbett3346 The first xbgt was built in July 73 , it was the yellow car that was used in the advertisement broucher driving through the creek. Mine which is the 2nd xbgt, was used as a test car. Both of these cars were originally XAGT’s that both went down the production line as XAGT’s, then were shipped over to Ford Special Vehicles (3999) . They were then changed to xbgt spec., panels ect.. I’m unsure about the 1st xbgt ( yellow car) as nobody knows where it is. I have been personally trying to find it since 1998. My car was built in sep ‘73 and has xbgt on the compliance plate. It was originally wild violet xagt, change to red pepper xbgt. The red was painted directly over the wild violet. I’m guessing that the reason for this is that wild violet was not optioned on xb’s. Hope this helps, mouse
Something I just remembered … is that when you look at the photos back in the day, the yellow car and of mine, the ‘gt351’ sticker on the front guard was placed higher than the final position, also they had the xagt ‘351 GT’ badge on the rear.
Thnx. You learn something every day. Never knew 1st XB GT was a XA as well. Did it have Engine/ Trans etc changed got XB Specs as well ? Was that the OG colour of the 1st Yellow XA/XB ? To bad ya can't rebuild it back 1/2 XA 1/2 XB. Has the rebuild started ?
Good job and thank you both! Hope it all comes together eventually.
Thanks heaps mate, appreciate the support! 🍻
Twisty, correct the spelling on your video, its Moffat...
@apsallpartsolutions7312 haha yes thank you, I realized after I added the thumbnail, then I was like stuff it 😄, but thanks you are the first to point it out , I'm sure others have spotted it 😓
@@TwistedMetalCustoms i just let it glide as it didn't really matter, we got the gist of what you meant.
Those cars were in the perfect state for a divorce valuation, just sayin' :)
Great work mate, great video
Good work Twisty 👍 true gentleman
Thanks heaps mate! 🍻
You can’t put a value on them in a divorce if they’re stripped😂
@@ecolift5919 🤣🤣😉
Great Q&A . I've learnt you never underestimate the passion people have for the big 3. I really hope Mouse start his own TH-cam channel or you keep us updated. Thankyou for setting the records straight
Craig William lives in Lavington, Suburb of Albury NSW …….he sold it to a Bloke who lived in Mitchell street , Wodonga ( friend I worked with knows him ) and my mate bought then bought of him who also lived in Wodonga……….he said it was badly rusted out by the time he sold it but funny enough said he sold it to an Army bloke posted at Bandiana base ………got 4 owners there so far………nothing special with race bits or anything ……but the colour was rare …………can confirm dates my mate owned it but was about 85 I remember Craig hanging out Dean street car scene with the car and late 80’s my friend owned it
@sneekerflogger so it seems in fact Mouse story of owning Craig Williams car isn't bullshit like you called out? It just so happened that your mate and Mouse owned the same car? Except perhaps as you said he is the 4th owner not the 3rd
@@TwistedMetalCustoms……..didn’t say it was bullshit…….but some of the details of that car are a bit far fetched !……..and maybe Mr Moussie may have been passed some questionable history on the car ………..some story’s from some car people in Albury can be bigger then they really are……I know Craig ver well ………happy to put you on to my friend who can give some real details as been the last owner 😉
@sneekerflogger sorry, you said what a load of rubbish, anyway.. yeah it could be some mis information passed on but he can only tell us what he has been told or knows so 🤷, yeah I'm not claiming I know the back story of everything but I've seen the cars, plates and parts so I can only go off what I've seen too, but still a cool fact that it was the same car
I was the soldier who brought it in ‘93 , from your mate ( his missus was there) for $3300. The car has zero rust though. The car was stripped for restoration, has 63,000 miles on the clock. I spoke to Craig at great length, coincidentally spoke to him on spac😊book only a month ago. The car has a lot of ph4 parts on it, ran 13.8 back in the day. When I was posted there at Boneagilla, doing my motor mechanics course.
@@ChrisArmstrong-ir3fg …….sounds about right 🙏🏻😉👍…….we use to talk about that car from time to time and wondered what happened to it ……..and my friend believed it was “ wrote off “ after he owned …….and it’s actually good to know it still exists as it was a tough car when Craig owned it but believed some parts were removed by the time my friend owned it……..and the Norris cam from engine is one I remember
Excellent video,well done boys
Don’t listen to the hater, Keep it up fellas..
Haters are gonna hate unfortunately. Can’t wait to see some future content on this lot. Keep fighting mate
Great story, what a legend AND great taste in music!
Mouse don't take it to heart mate it was about the cars , I think that was a shock to a lot of people those beautiful very rare cars sitting there rusting away , thank you for Manning up and sitting in front of the camera again , in front of all the haters , for that you are a legend in my book , thank you for your service too 👍🇦🇺
Life doesn't always go to plan. All we can do is work with what happens. The great news is mate, u soon will be able to put your deserving body. Back to the way God meant it to be. You may also might be able to do something, about stretching out those Resto years u have left. Thank you for your service.!!!! People out there need to remember. Your business is your business. So go and mind yours..😂😢😅😊. Thanks Twisty...
@@donkeys762 brilliantly said 🍻
Yes I was going to make a negative comment without knowing all the facts and situation. Just seeing them rusting away and seemingly neglected and stripped down of original parts was not a good look. Cheers Mouse for giving all those years and in the end your physical freedom to serve our country. Appreciated a lot mate.
@zalired8925 yeah and look, I wish I thought about that when we filmed it, but glad you watched this video to clarify
I would really be the pot calling the kettle black because I'm probably one of the furthest from perfect. Also I respect anyone who gives their commitment to our country. I was accepted myself into the NSW Transport Corps as a driver but I fractured my lower back one day before Kapunda which almost destroyed me. Cheers for the clarification.@@TwistedMetalCustoms
True legend mouse 🙏🙏
So Mouse stripped all the Fords( Running cars) for his dad to spray paint then thought his Dads to slow and old 🤔 He needs help to restore these so much work and there rusted bad.
Did you miss the part about spending up to half a year in hospital for 8 years and then going through a divorce? He also didn’t say his dad was too slow then he said his gotta buy a property and build a shed and his dads getting older and not so fast… luckily his 3 kids are young tho 🤷♂️
G’day, I’d like to thank everyone for your very kind thoughts and comments. As Twisty showed a clip of the Grange, on the previous episode. If you want to watch the full video on the Grange … Go to ‘WL HSV Grange on start up’ , by Chris and Tanya. Cheers again, mouse
Thanks for the video, I already watched the first one when it came out. Nobody should have to explain their life choices, if it doesn't hurt others it's none of their business. His money, his car collection, his life and only his business
I live up north WA i wont use tarps on cars or covers on bikes. Soon i will build a shed but would prefer to have dust on my bikes so i can see if anyone has touched them. Happy to clean every fortnight on days off. Good on ya Mouse!
Good onya boys, even though Mouse owes no one an explanation he sure has had a rough trott of late. i would like to sit down with him over a beer or 2 and just talk shop, his a interesting fella. all the best to you mate. thanks for your service Mouse 👍
You should start a TH-cam channel mouse when you start building the cars. I’ve bought 2 HG wagons now. 1st 1 was a complete car stored under a tarp for 20 years in Sydney and was so bad once I stripped it I had to buy another one and use some parts from the 1st. The 2nd had no front end from out dunging NSW stored with nothing on it and no front or rear windows and all the door windows rolled down. I’m currently working on the 2nd 1 and it has a lot of rust but nothing compared to the 1st one that spent 20 years under a tarp
@nathanmacready872 I agree he should do a YT channel too! I'd watch it
I’m gonna …lol
Bs..i watched it aweek ago...released 3 hrs ago load of bs
what are you talking about
If you cared to watch it instead of trying to be a hero you will see it says pt2, and it's a different video
@@TwistedMetalCustoms This silliness never ends. You've gone back & trimmed sections of absolute delusion out of the previous vid to hide the evidence. Droves of the comments on the first vid were bang on point. We're getting more lies in this one... The appalling wreck described as an XC Cobra has clearly sat outside long enough to rust right through & sink at least 4 inches into the ground. Even the engine is rotten. Your pal is such a guru, he doesn't know magnesium isn't actually a metal. It was only an additive element blended with aluminium to create a lightweight aluminium alloy. Any metal with magnesium in it IS AN ALLOY. Even steel is an alloy, but that's all too complicated for garden variety clods with no clue. If you don't want appropriate feedback on posts showing cars that are clearly brutalized, ruined & neglected & left outside to rot, don't post them. Don't make it worse by running a commentary admitting the cars were ALL bought AND driven by the same owner who ruined them. Pulling one car to bits & cruelling it is bad enough. You show a production line of it. You deleted honest fair dinkum comments painstakingly typed up by caring considerate people to hide gross negligence & magnificent stupidity, some his, some yours. But trimming out the ridiculous lies about the Quad Carb Set Up really is precious. Congratulations on impressing the deluded. Twisted much?
sell all the others and get the good ones on the road asap to prove the wanks wrong. but i would cover them atleast
There would have to be a ton of interest by ford guys if you decide to sell any of the Falcons.
I didnt even need to see this video as im just glad someone rescued these cars but knowing wat u been through bud im even more cheering that u have done wat u have done for these cars. Good on ya Twisty and Mouse thank you Sir for your service and sacrifices No clearing up needed for me,one man’s business is just that, but thanks for sharing it with us anyway. I’ve gotta say I’m jealous AF of the big 3 in your collection and not afraid to admit it👍🏻 Passion mixed with jealousy clouds people’s vision sometimes.
Absolutely couldn't have said it better myself, thanks heaps champion for your clear vision and comment! ( yeah I'm ultra jealous too!) but happy for him 🍻🍻
