Construct 3D: Plugins to UNLOCK your Creativity and Make Games
These plugins enable an extended range of 3D features for Construct 3. Significant development has enabled performance improvements, 3D physics, and some nice to have lighting and fog effects that were not previously possible. This video covers some examples and shares tips and tricks on how to use them in your games. The demos can be played and the project file downloaded in the link below!

is it possible to create renders of normals for the sprites so you can do lights and stuff (in a game engine)?
Yes! I have done this in the past as well. Took the time this morning after seeing this comment to add support for it in this template. The "1.1" version on itch now exports the normals as well and organizes them into their own folder. The script on github is also updated. Cheers! Foozle

I am a full on supporter of construct 2, I paid for it, I own it, even if one day the service or company went down, I can still use it. I left construct 2 once it goes subscription construct 3, because what is the point of learning it? If the service ever goes down, all my learning will be to waste, you can say oh it is easy to port the general idea to another game engine since all engines are the same but since that is the case, why should I subject myself to this? Neh, I have since moved to other game engines that are NOT subscription based knowing whatever happens, I can always and will always be able to use it.

@@SFzelus you can take a look at TexturePacker, there are other alternatives out there as well. Good luck!

i've been using construct 2/3 for years, and im loving see you and other guys pushing bondaries of construct limits like that, i mean, some years ago that was completely impraticable on construct and LOOK AT THAT! awesome, thank you guys for that!
It sure is cool to see what can be done in Construct 3 but I wouldn't want to rely on 3rd party plugins on top of all other 3rd party stuff it already depends on to work at all and still have to pay for subscription. Cool video all the same!

Love to see how Construct 3 is doing, I'd use it a ton if it wasn't for that pricing model. Fortunately it's competition is killing it as well. I can imagine making the ode to N64/PS1 era game so smoothly in C3. Mine may involve catching cute lil monkeys in nets :)
If only I could BUY Construct 3, I would use it for sure, unfortunately I do not and cannot support anti-consumer things like "software monthly subscriptions" I wish to buy and OWN my software, not rent it on a monthly basis and sadly for that reason only I'll never use C3, which is a real shame indeed.
To their defense, compare to adobe where you get nothing, construct 3 get pretty big updates every month with customer support and they also listen to the community when they ask for new things integrated. I wish it was cheaper by half the price tho...

All, I have finally updated the example to work with the latest 3D Physics plugin which migrated from the original implementation using cannon to rapier. The biggest benefit is you no longer need tons of complicated set up for the character! It comes with an easy to implement character controller with parameters such as max slide angles and step heights etc. Take a look on itch. Cheers! Foozle

Man, I'm glad to find out your channel😃😀! Thanks a lot for your huge HELP! Can I ask you to make tut about JS libraries implementation in Construct 3? For example Three js or other graphic libraries. I noticed that you mostly use sprite animations. Do you use bone animation in your projects? How much of an optimization issue is it for you?
For bone animation I have only ever used the Spine plugin and it worked great! Only thing is you will never be able to have as many bone animation enemies or objects as sprite based if you need thousands etc.
Does the 3D object plugin work with vox files as well? Also recently I purchased Crocotile 3D and saw it supports exporting gltf and glb I havent gotten a chance to really use it yet but I am excited too because I think between C3 and Crocotile 3D it would be possible to make rapid prototypes of ps1/n64 aesthetically styled games.

C3 crash every time i try to link the path to my importet gtlf. I cant choose embedded gtlf when saving in blender, I only can choose separate gtlf. Is that why? And how do i ad that to blender?
Good video. Given your skills, I'm really wondering why you still using Construct 3 rather anything else, above all for everything 3D-ish related. Anyway, I wanted to try the flood fill, but I'm too dumb to implement It myself (I understand the concept but not the C# or whatever hieroglyph it is). So instead I decided to mix the classic pathfind behavior with physics, while dividing the enemy horde in groups to trigger them separately over ticks and depending certains conditions. It seem sufficient for my project (700~800 animated sprites at 144 fps), but your system look so clean and way more efficient compared to these, I'm curious about the performance you hit with that, 1K, maybe 2K sprites with "pathfinding" ?
are 6 out of the 8 renders just copies? you only really have to render North and North East, the rest are flipped or rotated copies of N and NE. Seems like a waste of resource if it's actually rendering 8 different sprite-sheets no?
I regularly do just 5 directions and mirror NE E and SE for west. Sometimes though you care that the weapon remains in the “right hand” etc and will render out all 8.
great work, I really like how you give the in depth "right way" to do it, and then a quick and dirty event sheet version... this is a great way to make content that can work for anyone.

I bought a 3D PhysicsPlugin, but when I start the level I have a black screen.
I got a certain model where the script only seems to render out the East side for all the directions instead of all directions (setup is done correctly as the script does work for a mixamo model). Any ideas where it might go wrong ?

@@pavlemilosevic8224 I was having dramas too, then just installed blender 3.0 from previous versions on blender website (after selecting 3.0, it lets you select 3.0.1 like he has in the vid) and then everything works perfectly

Given Microsoft's recent decision to not accept games in the UWP format produced in Construct 3, how do you foresee this impacting independent developers who aspire to release games on consoles without relying on publishers? Do you identify any realistic alternatives for these developers, such as migrating to another engine? So far, I haven't found any financially viable options for those starting out, and it seems that Ashley, the founder of Construct 3, isn't taking steps to address this issue. What is your opinion on this situation?
