Birding in Ghana, September 2024
มุมมอง 1.8K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Birding in Ghana, our second visit, we aimed to "fill in the gaps" of the species we missed last time. We visited all different sites including Atewa Range and Mole National Park. We travelled with Ashanti African Tours, our guide Foster helped us see many specialities and plenty of our targets. Our final species count was 238, of which 51 were lifers. We can't always get photos of every specie...

We were unable to identify many fungi but still enjoyed finding them. Fungi are the soil doctors :) and a huge food source for invertebrates. We hope you enjoy the video

Birding in Thailand, after a week in Central Thailand we flew to Phuket and toured the South. We travelled with Wild Bird Eco, our guide Par for the Southern part of the trip helped us see many specialities and plenty of our targets. Our final species count was 292, of which 118 were lifers; but we were going for quality rather than quantity, the star birds were 6 Pitta species including amazin...

Birding in Thailand, after Kaeng Krachan we were on the way to Khao Yai, stopping on the way for a bit of twitching. Correction: 01:48 is a White-bellied Erpornis, not a Striated Yuhina! We travelled with Wild Bird Eco, our guide Nang for the Central part of the trip helped us see many specialities and plenty of our targets. We can't always get photos of every species - our style is "birding wi...

Birding in Kenya, our third destination was Kakamega Forest. Many great species, but the thick vegetation made it difficult to see and photograph them. After that we headed to Kisumu for a boat trip on Lake Victoria, to find the papyrus specialists. We travelled with Cisticola Tours, our guide Simon and driver/guide Winston helped us see many specialities and plenty of our targets. We can't alw...

Hello,woww.....what a beautiful colors and patterns!! Wonderful to see these beauties!! Greetings Gijs 😇😇
Thank you very much,Gijs
Nice video which brings back many memories of trip to Peru to the same regions. I do think the "paramo pipit" at 2:23 is really a plumbeous sierra finch.
Thanks for the correction, you are right!
Really beautiful capture . Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching
There are so many beautiful butterflies and moth species with their own unique colors to help them camouflage in their environment. Great share as always
Thank you for your kind words

Hi there, we went with wildbirdeco.net, our second time, they were great! I would say 2-3 days in Khao Yai is good but depends on your targets, and what other places you're visiting.

These are some really amazing butterflies and moth in kenya and that was a lot of pointed capers. The monarchy butterflies population in North America are declining.
Thank you for your comment. Monarch butterflies are amazing. Hope the decline can be reversed.
