There’s a way to diagnose it. You bridge a wire in the Obd port with ignition on, engine light should flash > pause > flash again so for example. Flash 5x pause flash 2x meaning it’s code 52 then you either look through manual or google to find out code. Hope that helps

One of my favourite mods I’ve done to mine

I never really tried finding a solution for the range tbh, just kinda lived with it. Other than that it’s been perfect, never played up and everything else reads correct

I haven't actually worked on or heard of enough R's to give my opinion on whats more reliable, The R Has the EA113 Engine where as my 2.0 TSI has the EA888, whats stupid as they should have replicated the scirocco r of the Golf R with the EA888 and haldex

Glad this video helped, tbh my miles range is still a bit iffy however it tells you quantity of fuel left in the tank, which is how I work it out. Other than that it’s solid & a really good upgrade

If you mean the little screen it’s just how it looks on camera because of the refresh rate of the screen

EA888 is the 1.8T & 2.0T, the facelift Rs came with a EA113 engine same as the MK5 GTI.

@ ye that’s what I thought too but did u make a mistake in the video or is yours a converted 2.0 tsi and not an actual R? Was just curious as to whether or not yours was a conversion

All depends what you’re after wether you get a TDI or TSI or R. I like sound & not too fussed about mpg yet so petrol was always going to be the best option for me. However if you’re doing a lot of motorway & want something really reliable than the 2.0 TDI is perfect. But I do wish I had a sunroof/pan roof a lot

@ElliotHarris03 awesome I'll forsure ask. I do have one question, I plan on driving it 2k miles home and it has 60k miles do you think it'll make it?

Always check the basics beforehand I:e oil, tyre pressure, waters. Just basic checks. Make sure that the oils not like tar & it’s clear. I assume it’s been in someone’s garage for a while for 60K? Mine has just passed 62K & been sat in some gentlemen’s collection for a long period of time.

Can be super fiddly, very tedious at times. I laugh each time I find a stupid bolt in a stupid place that just doesn’t make sense either.

The 350z was just a little fun car. If a crash damaged manual one came up for sale I’d have a go at it. But mine was auto and I felt like it took a lot of the fun out of it.

I’ll try my best aha, price wise I mention in the video & here in the UK most GT-Fours have over 130K miles what’s quite a lot. Mines got 99700KMs what’s just under 62K miles. The Gen 6 is my favourite celica with the gen 5 in a very close 2nd

There’s a beautiful 97 gt-four in Michigan for sale black with the white oz rims I was going to buy it but found something closer pretty much the same thing just a 94 with 146000km

The one in Michigan looked a lot nicer think they want 20 for it

Polo 6C was a DQ250, the polo I’m referring too as it’s roughly the same year as mine. I’ve heard the stories and seen myself how unreliable they can be when pushing bigger power through them.
