Welcome to my channel. Here you will find some great railfanning videos and the building of my N scale model railroad train layout. The Si-Gogglin Creek RR. I capture most of my railfan videos in the great state of Ohio, but also love a good road trip to New and exciting places to catch trains, that I call fishin trips to catch a train. I hope to steadily improve my channel for your enjoyment. All comments are welcome but keep them family friendly, please like, subscribe and share this channel with others you think would enjoy my journeys and adventures, let's go fishin and catch a train.

NS coal drag 2-3-1 configuration
An amazing coal drag with a 2-3-1 locomotive line up. this power was definitely needed for this beast of a train.. Great bridge crossing in Delano Ohio next to the Zane Trace elementary school.

Very nice! And a fantastic bridge to see trains on. Thanks for sharing.
@@johnbanicki7232 thanks John, the trees block how long this bridge really is. Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching
Cool grab and viewing location Pappy, nice one! (Dave).
Thanks Dave, this is only part of the bridge, it's pretty big but this is the only spot not covered by trees.. would love to see the whole thing.. appreciate you watching
@@TriGogglin you're very welcome and yes indeed I agree.
That was some train, hope there is no one in a hurry at a grade crossing. I guess it was a 2 +1 and 2 +1 paired up
@@cedarcam definitely a long one, it was 2 locos up front 3 in the middle and 1 at the end.. not sure I've seen 3 in the middle before like this, i may have but I've seen alot of trains 🤣🤣 appreciate you watching
@@TriGogglin Really rare then. I don't recall any on videos I have seen now you mention it

Good catch Pappy
Thanks joe 👍 I liked the 3 center DPUs. This was a big one. Thanks for watching
Simply awesome Pappy, a triple DPU plus an end, always cool to see that must distributed power. Definitely a two trains in one deal, I couldn’t tell if this was loaded or empty. Very fine catch here Pappy🪝😎👍🏼🇺🇸
It was a loaded beast.. Definitely needed all the power it could get.. loved the 3 middle DPUs.. and if coarse, loved the bridge.. glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching

@@tomharrington1393 thank you Tom
Nice ❤👍😊
@@ccrx6700 thanks Dave, just a quick grab on the way home from work..
Looks like a GP38-3, an SD40-2, AC44CW, and a GP I don’t know, couldn’t see the long hood on the last one. Were these units in a yard? Doing switching? If so it’s kinda odd to see a big 6 axle GE in the mix. Have a good one Pappy👍🏼🇺🇸😎
Hi ya Stretch, yeah this is the Parsons yard in Columbus.. they were building trains, run by a remote on the ground why he was manually switching the tracks..
While you're there, be sure to check out the party source! The mention of Covington brings back memories from college!
Oh man, College memories, that definitely sounds like a place to stop, ill have to remember that for next time..
There was a Longs Drug store in Moreno Valley, Ca and the manager of the store had three or four isles in the back left corner dedicated to trains. Some entry level stuff, but also some nice mid level items. Once I found out about it I made several trips and dropped a chunk of money there until I moved out of state. It was great. Sure would be nice if Hobby Lobby would add some decent model train area to their stores. It would take a god manager, someone that knows about trains.
@@billkraemer4710 thanks for thus comment Bill, I agree, I have always wondered why there is not more selections of trains at a store called HOBBY lobby, and I do miss the days of the local hardware or mom and pop shops that felt in trains. Appreciate you watching
I used to work on that ge they use to switch
Thats pretty cool, I would be sad to see it scrapped.. appreciate you watching
Awesome 👍😊
Thanks Dave, that creep up reminds me of yours going under the highway..
Another Pappy Find 😊…good one

Almost peaceful! Great stuff Pappy!
Oh it was indeed Sweyn, I still marvel at how quiet these beasts are..

Thank you Tom
Gotta go thru quietly. Gonna wake up the bats. 🤣. Awesome shot, Pappy.
Yeah the bats, 🤣🤣 thanks Dew.
Pretty cool, so is this a park or something? She was left wide open, if they don’t get them windows fixed the elements will take over quickly. Across the crick there’s a beautiful old house, wrap around porch on it. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼😎🇺🇸
Not sure if it was a railfan park at one time, it sure could of been, the tracks are right there. Just cut down some trees and it would be perfect. I believe that awesome house was some kinda retreat at one point. This place had a ton of potential. Glad you enjoyed it Eddie, appreciate you watching
Somehow to me that design still looks modern. Nice you could get inside this one.
This type and the bay window ones definitely, glad you enjoyed it.. appreciate you watching
sorry you missed out on the light but glad you enjoyed your pizza trackside! hope she has a speedy recovery 🤗

Thats cool Arty, not the wind storm, the fact you been here. I like when folks been to places and can relate to it.. appreciate you watching

Thank you Tom
Metal ties, hadn't seen that before. When I saw the grey I assumed concrete. I assume the pad under the rail and on the clip is for sound and vibration reduction?
I've only seen these in videos, so was cool to see in person. I've seen concrete as well. But I'm think what you are, and also maybe an insulation to prevent metal to metal for maybe signals or crossing gates. If they touched then both rails would be connected electrically. But just a guess, appreciate you watching
@@TriGogglin Signalling might be a better answer. I have to go look at Gray's video on how train signalling works again :-)
Sweet find Pappy! If you ever get to New London, there is a cool restored cabboose in front of a storage facility. I tried to film it, but my storage was full!
@@sweynforkbeardtraindude thanks Sweyn, I'll have to remember that one and check it out.. glad you enjoyed this one.. I havnt been to new London so definitely will check it out.. always appreciate you watching
That's really awesome! All this time I thought the brakeman just peed off of the back of the caboose.
🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure the older days they may have, but the more modern ones had toilets or urinals, and a holding tank.. glad you enjoyed this brief video, appreciate you watching
It goes over top of a road lol.😅

Oh yeah, nothing like a NS cooooooaaaal traaaaaaaaiiiin!
For sure, definitely my favorite
The same kind of clips used to attach the rail to concrete ties. The Boston MBTA Red Line utilizes the same thing, instead of ties, there are large concrete pads set onto the tunnel floor. The rails attach to that.
@@richardlangellotti6208I've seen concrete ties, i have seen what your describing, a few times, but didn't remember that, I only have wood ties in my area. So definitely cool when I see different things, appreciate this comment and you watching
