Mine was fully installed but that may have been a special. The seller’s web page should have told you. And the first thing you need to do is fully charge it, register it with Cardo, then download the latest firmware. It won’t work until the firmware is updated. Where did you buy it from? They can help or Cardo or TH-cam has several videos.

Then it should have had the Cardo system. Call their help desk- they can confirm and help you with pairing and down load the Cardo app. It would help. I’m sorry I didn’t see your response till just now.

Sadly no. You must use either Genius maps or Rever or Sygic all pay to use. The new 24 Spyder’s use Apple Car Play - not Android.

@@JablonskiV new bike only. The 23 and prior years are NOT compatible with CarPlay or Google Play. You can find waterproof hardware that mounts similar to a Garmin GPS to let you use them for around $150 or so.

I’m not a GoPro guy at all. When I started 3 years ago I bought a 9 and it failed the first time I used it. So then I bought an original Osmo Action. Now I use a DJI Pocket 3, Insta360 multiple cameras and an Action 4. I think the 360 desktop is now easy to use. I never use the phone app except to register and do firmware updates. It is now a full editor and it’s real simple to start with the tiny planet view and transition to what 360 calls the mega view as shown in the video

They updated the Pro Viewing Remote via firmware to work with the 360 X4 as well as the Ace. This was posted just using the latest updated desktop software so it’s much easier now to use.

It was yesterday so I don’t recall and alcohol was involved. 😉😁😛 I was talking and decided to focus the short on the camera so the dub was left off the sound track but it goes to show that without a mic the X4 does pick up the wind.

It does not click but you can tighten or loosen as you deem fit. I’ve never had a phone jump out as there is a bit of a taper in the slots.

Sometimes they do not include the pivot but I have some extras over the years.

My Bullet Point makes some good stuff as well. I just think they’re fairly cumbersome to deal with when it comes to trying to get it to fit right depending upon the vehicle though I have some bullet points stuff for my Maverick that just doesn’t work for me so I actually have a pro clip in that as well.

Yes, without having to loosen a knob such as a Ram Mount or a derivative. You can crank that center screw down to where it is tougher to pivot as well.

Their customer service has been excellent over the years if it had been cracked instead of me thinking that such I’m gonna phone call and I’d get a replacement just like that there would be no questions asked

I was pleasantly surprised

My tech difficulties were a result of picking up the bike from the dealership and I was giddy as kid in the candy store. I was amazed there was very little background noise. Thx for watching

Well I’d have to agree to some extent. I try not to buy the first year of production on vehicles because it takes a year to work out the bugs. But these are both engineering issues not poor design.

Thx. I would say they run small so I’d go up a size over normal, if you’re ordering on line. On the sling it should work well because of the 180 degrees of rotation for the face portion. Wearing it around the house I really like the vidor lip at the top because it’s about half the width of the visor. Much easier to engage or find compared to a tab on the left side.

They're great honestly. I got one a year ago, fit me better than any other helmet I've ever tried on. Features are well thought out, though I would like to see some additional brow venting for light to light traffic in the summer. Rode it spring, summer, fall and spring again without issue, and I have the (mis)fortune of having put one through a crash where I left the road as well. Helmet performed perfectly in the full face configuration, no scratches, no visible bumps or bruising on my head or face. I remember being worried about the lack of padding in the chin bar itself but that proved to be a non-issue. Face shield was not on the helmet when the police arrived, but it was next to the bike so I may have accidentally ripped it off getting myself right side up, or it is possible the latches got snagged and it got ejected. I couldn't say for sure. Overall favorite helmet to date, even on some 100 mile rides no issues, no hot spots, tolerable wind noise (they include an additional inflatable neck roll to cut this down as well as a small backpack for this helmet) and i will be purchasing a replacement here in the next few days!!!

I believe the Cardo system has various strengths over a Sena. The device is small enough not to cause a lot of wind noise.

Just need the Slingshot back so I can really review it. Sat around Monday night under Tornado Warning with it on so it’s definitely comfortable. Thanks RJ.

First look- yes and the LS2 has a good history. If Shoei made a convertible like this then one would have to look at it. The Cardo unit sold me as I’ve been having issues with the Slingshot connection. Hopefully the Cardo unit solves the issue.

Wayne, I don’t think the carbon is worth the xtra. Check Speed Addicts as it did come assembled with the Cardo unit in place. This does replace the Valiant 2 that I believe you have. From speed addicts the also included a dark visor. I can’t wait for the Sling to get back in my garage so I can put it and the helmet to the test. THX.

They all get hot regardless of color but the beauty of it is that you can open or flip the front and then it’s really getting a lot of air circulation. In order to hear music or a phone, you need a helmet and some sort of screen to keep the bug hits down.

Pipeline for the replacement part. The issue is a potential failure of the turn signal indicator. I’m okay to drive it for now, which I don’t put miles on it once I get the Slingshot back. The Sling isn’t safe to drive due to a bad brake switch which disabled the Stability System and Traction control.

@@WORTHITORNOT I’ll stick with the Maverick. I can work on a Ford easier than a Toyota, besides it got 30mpg out of the turbo version this past weekend on a round trip to College Station 😉

@@DFWMoose Nice, the best I can muster in the Tundra is 19mpg if I drive 60-65mph. Surprisingly my 392 Hemi in the Challenger with the 6 speed will get 26 mpg at 70mph if I don't do any hard accelerations

Just to keep it for prosparity reasons and save my SLR from damage. I agree it would have been much better if I had used my SLR but I had not invested in a sun filter.

I had an extra pair. If you were in the area a If totality then for 3 minutes you could look directly at it.

Yes it was. I was going to use my Ace Pro with a polarizer but battery died. Will check it.

@@DFWMoose I used my Ace Pro in 8k with a eclipse glasses lens rigged over the main lens, I’ll post it after I get home later from work
