    Great video. I'm glad you didn't use any music over your review. Have you noticed your controller getting extremely hot during that 400 degree run? Ive been considering insulating in between the chamber and hopper.

    I have one. The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t put a tray under my brisket. The top shelf is too small for full packer.

    Maybe the size of of diffuser has a lot to do with it? I got a smaller one with just two windows and it’s fine

    They could have put the thermometer in a different location so you can see the meat without opening the door.

    Oh you a smart MFer with that handle there. I bought one yesterday on FBMP brand new for $100 they said they work for a liquidation company. I’m excited to use mine, just got a first burn in, gonna make some smoked Mac n cheese probably tomorrow. My family loves it. I have an old kitchenaid metal handle I think imma put on the top so I can keep the factory one in the front

    Pit Boss has had a lot of issues with their control boards lately. Many customers have been sent new ones with a new software flash on them.

    Thanks for the honest info. Question for you. Do you feel you get good smoke flavor from your pellet grill when you cook and smoke with it? I just brought an PB Austin onyx and can't wait to fire it up. But nervous if I'll get enough of that flavor in my food.

      Try different brands of 100% wood pellets and store them in food-safe ait-tight buckets. My Pit Boss smokes great.

      @@pitbosshogg6129 I have one of those. I've cooked with it and was really disappointed with the lack of wood fired taste and lack of smoked flavor in my meat. And I made chicken burgers. Should've been able to taste something. But not at all.

    hello from the colorful ozarks!! awesome detail of breaking your smoker!! i agree with you they didnt think this out to good to pick up and carry. i use a strap secured to each side to carry mine! i left the handle off to pack easier since it stuck out too far. i used stainless bolts to fill screw holes in lid attached a leather strap to lift lid. looking forward to some of your recipes. tight lines and cheers!

    I found sometimes with mine I needed to have it at 450 on the dial but internals ended up being 350, the digital probe was always inaccurate since it’s proximity is too close to the fire pot. 🔥 Depending on the pellets used. This affected the temps as well. Applewood never got hot enough, hickory was the hotter of the two, hovering around 20 degrees lower than the mode dial. Have yet to try others but hope that helps a fellow smoker. If anything this is a great 350 degree unit for chicken wings and bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño poppers!

      U definitely have to learn the machine. Cooking times are not approximate like my Pit Boss 1100.
