I feel like this is in an alternate universe where Kurt finished rehab, took a break from music and touring, spent time with Courtney and Francis, and then came back with this as a send-off album before leaving music for good with enough money to finance his family.

“Old Age” reminds me of late 60’s style rock music, it’s sort of got that vibe. I don’t know why it wasn’t more widely released. We’re well overdue for a music revolution that has integrity, where songs are written with feeling, some even too personal to want to share. I’m tired of stupid a$$ “musak” made with computer sound bites of instruments & weak tapity tap taps instead of actual beats. Sure, there are talented people who can make a decent song that way, but it feels too sterile & perfected when it’s from a computer screen, whereas playing the instruments has more feeling & realism to it. Don’t get me started on the crappy rap lyrics that repeat like a broken record, as if their brain stopped there saying “yeah, this’ll be a hit”, & specifically written to sell to the kids who eat it up. We definitely need a good musical revolution, let’s get some RocknRoll back to its former glory, & get rid of the fake musak with the fake people who make it!
