I saw him in Springfield Mo a few years ago in concert with Tommy Emmanuel. Richard comes behind nobody in his guitar skills. He stole the show. So good!

What the hell man! Plays that hands stretchy and difficult scales song like its nothing. A song I cant master after 50 years of playing guitar. I think that right now, today, Richard is probably the best all around guitar player in the world. Chet and Jerry would be two of his greatest fans if they were still alive as nobody does Chet and Jerry as good as Richard Smith. Nobody!
