Love to see you getting active on YT again. If possible, I'd love a longer format video of you working out an arrangement for some simple songs while explaining some stuff as you go! I always think your arrangements are very solid! I also think it would be very valuable insight as someone who is just getting into trying to arrange some songs...
Great and exciting news! The youtube algorithm can be tricky at times but you certainly have a lot of fans out there that would love to see more posts.
Fantastic stuff Richard, and I only found this official channel through the video you mentioned, so it definitely served it's purpose, and good on you for allowing it to stay online. As a massive Jansch & Renbourn fan, I'd love to see you feature a little bit of their music.
Hello Richard, became a fan of your after meeting you at Kaughman Kamp one year. Purchased several of your CD's at that time. Missed your concerts when you were in the southwest area a year or so ago. Hope you come back to this area again soon. Hoping you add to your on-line store an instructional video and tab for Sukiyaki, as my mother still sings that song and is now over 88 years old. It would make her very happy for me to learn that song and played it for her. Thanks or sharing.
Good news!! Waiting your videos from Spain. I follow you years ago, and it is a pleasure to see you coming back stronger💪🏻💪🏻. Wish you all the best Richard, greetings from Spain🇪🇦
Hi richard. I would just love to see more videos of you playing tunes. really enjoyed your uploads in 2022 and i've been searching for any clips I get my hands on this year. as a player, lessons would be even better and I would definitely pay to learn from a master like you. btw im currently learning how to play your arrangement of MLR and having fun so thanks.
You once taught me a guitar lesson in Armin’s Farmsound in Kassel. It was so inspiring. Please do some instructional videos. Show the entertainer in slow steps. Thanks for your passion.
Great to see you back Richard. What would I like to see? More of you and your masterful renditions! Do some shorts of your amazing ragtime skills, that'd be bound to help grow your channel.
Richard, well done! Here's my idea... a spontaneous troubadour performance in a well-known outdoor location (e.g., Picadilly Circus, Union Station, popular park, etc.). I see these types of videos achieving (sometimes exceeding) 1 million views. Its part art, part science, and part luck, but just like your 14M+ views, you never know what is going to happen unless you try. Cheers mate!
I played George Harrisons For You Blue song, interviewed a bunch of friends what there pets did to them but they still forgave them at the end of the day. So themed music videos would be my vote.
From my layman's observation, it seems like YT algorithm likes regular releases. And I think instructional videos are popular with people. But I'd make it small, bite sized because people have a short attention span. I could see (I'd definitely spend time on that) shorter, a couple of bars worth, cool sounding finger-picked phrases, be popular.

I really wanted to do one on the Grand Canyon Skywalk but I don’t think I’d be allowed
