After having ridden motorcycles and scooters and mopeds, and driven cars and SUVs and trucks, and having written, reviewed, and talked about them for over two decades, Vikrant Singh has now found a place to be casual, sharing, and relaxed. How to Sell Your Car for the BEST possible PRICE | Tips | Featuring Cars24 Spinny | Vikrant Singh
We recently sold our seven year old car. Before that we got it evaluated via the organised used car market via Cars24 and Spinny. Both proved to be efficient, friendly, and reliable. They each spent over an hour with the car taking pictures, checking for scratches and dents, for repaint jobs, and much more. Then they drove the car to check its engine performance, its suspension and steering condition, and finally they came away happy with the car's condition.
Then after a few hours we got a quote for the vehicle. And it was significantly lower than what each of these brands had quoted on their website. Naturally, we didn't accept. But these guys are int he business to buying and selling used cars. So, unless they buy used cars, refurbish them, and sell them again, how would they stay in business. And so, we got a call from both.
After having expressed our disappointment in the price offered, both cars24 and spinny upped their purchase price by Rs 30,000 immediately. We didn't even have to insist. But, it still wasn't close to what the their respective websites had shown when we had put in the car details. Plus, we knew the condition of our car was excellent. So, we refused to budge below the shown price.
In fact, as we continued to delay our decision, both used car companies kept upping their purchase price. And this taught us a valuable lesson in how to sell used cars for maximum price. We have shared these learnings in this video.

Took the new Ghatkopar Mankhurd flyover. It brings down travel time from the eastern freeway to Navi Mumbai - Chembur highway to a little over 2 mins. Speed limit is 50kmph. And from what I could see two wheelers are allowed. Truck and buses are not allowed though which means the surface should not breakdown soon and often. It’s well surfaced. It’s wide. And it’s a boon!
