New Super Cub Teaser Video
มุมมอง 1243 ปีที่แล้ว
Just a short video of some recent flying in the Super Cub I recently purchased. Between the ferry flight home and a quick turn around to go to Oshkosh, I put 50 hours on it in two weeks! Wish I could put some more time on it but the Air Force Called, so I wont be flying for about two months. Song: Cruel Summer Cobra Kai Remix

MY SILVER LINING - Aerobat Flying in Kansas
มุมมอง 3925 ปีที่แล้ว
This fun little Cessna 152 can be rented in McPherson Kansas for a cheap $75/hr wet plus instructor. I have been teaching private students in this plane for about 2 years and while it's no Bonanza, I started my training in a 152 and it was a great starter plane, it makes you learn how to control a plane properly, and is also extremely forgiving with learning to land. Once you know how to fly a ...
I See You - My Time In Kansas
มุมมอง 485 ปีที่แล้ว
A sort of summary video of some of my flying in Kansas. I've had so many amazing opportunities its impossible to share them all. As some of you already know I was recently hired by the Alaska Air National Guard to fly their C-17's. This will be a long training process that has yet to start but I anticipate my time in Kansas to be coming to an end shortly. I've accomplished more flying here than...

Are we supposed to wear our hat in a vehicle? - Civil Air Patrol
This brings me to my cadet days in CAP. RMR-MT-012 RMR-MT-008. Those were the two squadrons in Montana that I served in.
How about we not try this while the colonel is in the vehicle.
Nice use of the Benny Hill theme song...😂
for some reason the main thing I paid attention to was the guy next to you who reached Spaatz
I too was a Spaatz cadet and shared with him my plan for this test haha. He also knew the hat thing wasn't a real thing either.
@@skylarcaldwell7208 lol I still got a looong way to go before Spaatz (I’m a C/Amn)
Wish i joined as a cadet
When we getting OCP
There's a rumor that wearing a Hat/ Cover inside a vehicle or on the flight line can obstruct your filed of vision creating blind spots I've yet to see that proven .
Wearing a cover inside a building signify's the Sentry Of The Guard is armed with a Sidearm. That way you know who to go to incase there's a breach of Security.
Are Ncos allowed to staff
Just a note the US is not permitted into the Blue Beret's. The Blue Beret's are the UN piece keeping force and the US and Russia can not be part because they are the war mongers. th-cam.com/video/raWx_Q6Yzjo/w-d-xo.html
I attended NBB this summer ('23) It is certainly something worth applying for if you get the chance! I made a lot of friends and learned a lot about leadership and myself. (The airplanes were awesome, too)
Bless your hearts Thank You!!
2013 Beret here! Can't believe its been 10 years since I was there
Born to late to get to wear BDUs 😢😢😢😢
Is this a children's group who make believe they're military?
I really like how you can see all the wing patches at 10:14
She seems to enjoy it. Love her voice.
lol pretty funny I wish our Ranking officer would do that also greetings from Hawaii Civil Air Patrol
I was there 1990 as a British ATC Cadet. Met some great people.
Blue Beret 2022!!!💯💯💯
Very fun to see this and great to see this program still around and doing well. I attended as a cadet NCO in 1983. Seems some of it has changed. It's not one week at Ft. McCoy and then the next week at the fly in. I also noticed that the crest is much larger then the one we were awarded back then. It lookes like there are a lot more cadet officers attended than I remember. All in all, while it's easy for old folks like me to wonder about the younger generation, as older folks always do, but then there are always those young people drawn to organizations like the Civil Air Patrol that we can look to that can reassure us. I will say, without a doubt, it was my time as a cadet, as a beret and as a cadet officer that made my active duty experience a smooth transition.

Military standard in a military vehicle (covers) on. Private vehicle it's optional. C A P vehicles owned by USAF makes them military.
It's not a standard in the Air Force, and CAP vehicles are owned by the civilian CAP corporation not the Air Force.
If your in a building or anywhere inside always remove your cap
Unless you're in a vehicle :)
No one cares, just keep it on and save time and hassle for when getting out and having your hands full.
Imagine the 2020 flight academy attaching a twizzler to the blue Bret rock
We may or may not have done that 🤪
Wish I would of earned my blue beret. I did get accepted into Hawk Mountain Ranger School though.
I plan on going to both ( setting my goals high )
@@Defnotmeli27 good deal dude it's definitely worth it especially if you're going into the active duty Air Force or Army you'll have a leg up on everyone at basic training.
Congratulations to all CAP Cadets. Your determination and dedication to yourself, community and country is honored and respected.
I do this at encampment each year to see who is paying attention.
Great job. I love first time flyers. I really like her facial expressions.
Should wear the hat, its represent a nation, while outside 9f the building.

Hence the title of the Video,This decision is USUALLY by the Person at the Wheel, during some activities, such as Basic Encampment. At least with the Officers I had been under,so far.
Michael Saul where does it say this decision is up to the person at the wheel? An unwritten rule? Then it's not a rule. :)
Skylar Caldwell Just The Officers I had been under for the decade I served.
Michael Saul the officers were wrong. And after a decade in CAP you definitely had the time to figure out the truth ;) I was in CAP for 15 years and continually had to try to dispel this rumor. Been in the Air Force for 8 years now and not once has anyone said anything about wearing a hat in a vehicle. We all just do what we want since there's no rule on it.
1. It’s not a hat it’s a cover. 2. No cause you are in doors
Matthew Peamoon 1. CAPR 39-1 6.2.7 calls it a BDU "Cap" not a cover. Cover is a navy term I believe. 2: You clearly didn't watch the video because it explains why you are wrong. :)
@@skylarcaldwell7208 Agreed - Cover is a drill term
Cover applies to the Maritime Forces. Marine Corps, Coast Guard & Navy's 8 Point Cover otherwise it's refferd to as a PC - Patrol Cap 3 Point in the Army , Air Force & Space Force .
@@Texasmilitarydepartmentvid9654 ive been in the Air Force for nearly a decade and have yet to hear a single person call it a "PC" but I hear army folks call it that all the time.
I attended blue beret in 2012 , watching this brings back all of the memories and emotions from being on compound. I hope to one day make my return to the compound as a senior to help carry on the legacy of national blue beret.
is NBB like encampment and what type of training does it require?
I'm Going this year, First Time!! I'm nervous but ready!

Fantastic job, FOLLOW ME! C/CMSgt Feron, 2017 NBB
Long time follower on IG. Live in SLN. My dad was a pilot when I was younger and sparked my interest in flight (although Ive yet to think of getting my license). Invest in some equipment to tie into your coms and I bet your channel takes off (pun not intended) lol. Keep it up!
Mid-America Prep hey thanks for your support, glad to know I have some local followers! I do have a chord that plug in to the mic, I just have yet to figure out how to work it in to my videos. I usually do these kind of music videos, maybe I need to start doing in flight lessons like Fly8MA or MZeroA haha. Stop by Schilling Aviation Services some time and check out the planes! Happy to show you around and help you figure out if getting a license is in your future haha.
Hello! I was wondering for NBB what the main tasks are, I want to find the NSCA I'm best suited for, thanks!
it took me all but 0 seconds to realize that the guy front and center at 1:09 is me! changed so much since then. I think everyone's Flight Sargent told their cadets to put covers on when the highest-ranking officer had his/her own on. I had no idea this was not the case. maybe they just told us that to troll with us idk.
I was watch a Wisconsin Encampment video and i saw my Chief Master Sargent and also my tech Sargent in there
As a former Cadet we were taught Senior Driving cover on OHHH Get your cover on LOL now ahdays im that Senior member that does the same thing with My cadets.
Dang. I just did mine is a Super Decathlon. I got 7 the first day, and did 6 the next day. Plus falling leaf stalls. The first day i started getting sick, but figured out that if I would flex my legs and stomach really hard when pulling out, I wouldn't get sick. I could have done them for an hour after that.
Thats pretty cool dude! I did my CFI spin endorsement in a Super Decathlon, and man that thing could spin. I start puking after three as well lol.
I was always told that COVERS "NOT HATS" was a personal preference when your in a vehicle. However, when outside you do not take your cover off for any reason once so ever until you reach a destination in which you are to take it off. Also as a member of the US Coast Guard Aux., DONT PUT COVERS ON THE TABLES IN THE CHOW HALL/ GALLEY
Paul Hurst haha why “covers” is that defined somewhere? And as an Air Force NCO I probably wear my hat a grand total of 10% of the time when I’m outside ;)
Got yelled at one time by one of the workers in the chow hall for putting my hat on the table.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Really a cadet colonel
The only blue beret in the Air Force is the Security Forces beret. No idea why they let CAP kids use it.
oscarwildeghost fun fact, the Civil Air Patrol began wearing the blue beret at this activity in 1967. The blue beret wasn’t adopted by USAF Security Forces until Brig Gen Thomas Sadler was appointed the Air Force Chief of Security Police 1976 and was tasked with unifying the Security Police uniform to create a distinctive and easily identifiable uniform Air Force wide. CAP has been wearing it nearly a decade longer than the USAF. 😊
During Encampment and other activities, we don't wear hats inside vehicle's or inside, unless you are Honor Guard or Color Guard.
I was in the honor guard went to Maryland for it from 095th squadron in texarkana Texas won the spirt award while I was there in 2009 still have my wooden rifle..with everyone's name on it
She’s trying to stay vertical, a lot of people do that. . She is not a happy camper, thinks she happy on the ground. Can’t get over the paved runways in the US mostly grass & gravel that I flew on in Australia except for large regional towns.
