Pine marten friend
มุมมอง 7K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This wild marten is one of many that has been visiting me over the past 7 years in the Highlands of Scotland. In that time she has come to see me virtually every day, with several visits per day in summer. She has introduced me to about a dozen of her kits over the years and is very gentle-natured towards me but not to fellow martens. Her greeting is often a rub of her wet nose on my hand. Alth...
Pine marten lounge visitor

Female pine marten (at least seven years old) regularly enters house to accept food, with apparently no fear. Her nine month old male kit has also learnt this behaviour. For more pine marten videos go to th-cam.com/channels/w_G5FKx5EzycYtfaEzECFA.html
May I ask what your settings were? I also have a GoPro Hero 11 Black and would like to enable motion detection with GoPro Labs, but I don't know the correct settings.
The settings which you need to encapsulate in a QR code are as follows mVr5p25fLe0wAsMi2M2S180oC0oV1oW1oS1d10!SM2-2H60!R I could send you the QR jpeg if necessary. Your firmware probably needs to be up-to-date. The settings may need modification if your lighting is quite different from mine.
Denouement, impasse - that's your actual French, you know!
that plate probably reminded it of egg yolk
Bobcats eat pine martens
Definitely a young house cat😂
Masters of speed and agility.
Are you sure she's a pine Marten? I only question this cause of her size.
Bulshit so wasting our time for what?
EEE im so happy youu guys have a youtube. ive read a richness of martens by polly pullar and it was so interesting :3
The only Pine Marten I ever saw in the wild was in Argyll .Walking on a dirt road I suddenly noticed Pine Marten 5 foot Infront of me Defiantly staring at me saying you shall not pass . I froze wondering what she was going to do ,then from behind her two Kits crossed the road .After looking over her shoulder she followed them. I felt equal parts nervus and privileged as we all whent on our way.
Where is that theme music from in the background
Hello. It is an original tune called Two Guitars from the Colin Moore Music channel th-cam.com/video/8SHa_1rMTWk/w-d-xo.html
It’s not a wild cat Why do people like you lie about things
While it may be feral, that looked like a regular house cat.
1:24 to 1:46 trying to be playful but actually assessing best method of attack with that innocent head swaying movement. I think the cat knows it and hunched its back to be ready. I don't think the marten would come out on top.
𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐛𝐜𝐚𝐭
Beautiful creatures! I think the marten is still young(?) Thanks for the video 👍
Thats not a wildcat 😂
Wood mice are so cute! 😀 The badger too but he looked confused 😄
How nice! I've been feeding a bunch of stone martens for the past 3 years, as soon as it's dusk they run like crazy cross the field and come to have diner in my garden, but I've not tried to "tame" them.
How cute are they ❤
Scottish wildcat no laughing matter
Very polite
His name is Rocket
That looks like a baby bobcat. ...if actually a Bobcat at all.
There are no bobcats in Scotland. It’s a real wild cat.
It’s not pine marten it is martes foina or stone marten
Don't be misled by the lighting. It is a pine marten (Martes martes) with all the differential characteristics including yellow/orange bib. Stone martens do not occur in the UK (at least not in the wild).
They are both so beautiful... 🤗🥰
Why do you feed this animal!! it’s not cat friendly 😡
I have a European marten that visits our garden at night. So cute and bouncy. I have trail cam videos. I'm in the Alps. Also got a badger, hedgehogs and a fox visiting regularly.
You know you arent supposed to show the bait? If the bait is shown it can become controversial
Looks like a gray tabby house cat. Glad they both live for another day
They are heavier built than domestic cats. There fur pattern is also different.
Today is Mar 10 (in US) So... happy marten day!
It's a weasel not a marten. Martens have yellow bavette not white as in this case
Hello Julien. Don't be fooled by the colour temperature of the artificial lighting. The bib is actually creamy yellow - see other marten videos on this channel. A weasel is much smaller and a very different shape.
Hi. I have impression that Cats are a bit confused with Martens. I made video a few days ago. th-cam.com/video/n0yn5i0kKkk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BhcsYTNN4wGPa_iJ
wild cat. 😜
Hi there .. great footage 👍.. what is the best food to put out for them, I’m up in Kintail next month and the cottage I’m staying has just bought a field camera .. while I was there earlier this year they had Pine Martens sniffing around
Many people (me included) find that jam and peanut butter work very well. Tesco do strawberry jam at 39 p a bottle. Eggs are much appreciated by some martens, taking them before anything else, but some martens (possibly the younger ones) do not understand the concept of an egg. Honey is also much appreciated. If nothing else is available they can spend half an hour eating peanuts. I have tried dog food but that was a dismal failure. Best of luck next month.
@@colinmooremusic6784 much appreciated for your reply…
Fisher cat
Pine Martens are so beautiful
Ah yes "female 2", such a classy name 😅
Amazing, thanks for sharing
I adore pine martens, I saw them in 2019 amazing!
Wow thats a weird looking bird
Live wildlife, pine martens are my favourite!
Great footage 👍
Awesome to see them, PS love the pine martens too 👍
damn looks like Emperor Ublaz Mad-Eyes is invading
Sorry, but if this is in Scotland and the cat is a european wild cat and not a feral house cat, the Pine marten was wise to back of. The wild cat is very different to your feral house cat!!
A surprisingly gentle specimen!
A hunter can be aggressive towards martens.
Pine marten is bigger, but his agility is not as good as smaller marten.
Beautiful Pine Marten ;) One of my cat has a similiar look like this wildcat mix : th-cam.com/video/QsG_BngZa_4/w-d-xo.html This cat was born outdoors in a barn, her mother was a Birma mix and had similiar stripes an her tail and feet ;) lg
