Did you take the jam off the chair? I noticed there was something on the yellow and white plate (sugar water?), wondered what the trick with the jam was, and then noticed it was never shown in the shot with the marten. Just curious.
Hello. The jam was returned to the marten's normal dinner table (the balcony floor) where it soon disappeared. The plate was smeared with honey, which is one of their favourite foods, although last night I discovered that they relish grapes as well (from the hand so they know it's food).
Hello John. You don't get this one in the States. It is a European pine marten. You do, however, have your own closely related (same genus) American marten in the north and west and the Pacific marten in the west.

@@scottishpinemartens8461 It's a crime to feed wild animals... Unless that martin is a pet (they were like house cats @ one time)

I have read that red grapes are fine but not green ones, apparently they're toxic for animals.
@@g.rodriguez7445 martens should never be pets. You're right that they shouldn't be fed either though. There are a lot of red flags here
