Runs smooth how about the airflow? Is it a ball bearing fan or has a bush?
Good airflow.this is double ball bearing, earlier versions like the 1970's-1980's were bush, around the 1990's it was upgraded to double ball bearing

Make a review of crompton high speed 1 star ceiling fan
Well,I have reviewed old Crompton Greaves High Speed already,1 star is nothing but a power saver version with a thick 14p coil and around 215 to 225 cmm airflow, the blade angle is less so spreading decreased, anyways, how can we even expect from a 50W power saving fan
One of the best fans made. excellent performance and reliability. Id pick it anytime over Usha Atom.ex and crompton hs decora
Good choice!
AWESOME FAN. THIS IS KOHINOOR SUPER DELUXE OF EARLY 2000s AND MUCH BETTER THAN GEC
Hmm I can smell some stiffness here,well.....GEC as you say,if it comes to the final years,I don't consider Alstom made GEC which really messed up in a few years,in the final years only it's industrial and exhaust was good....and as for usha, yea I agree it's good but in current scenario, everything is finished.....old classics are no comparison, every fan is unique of that time in it's own way I believe
@@electricalbro6308Obviously. Gec don't exist. Only it's industrial Fan segment exist which is marathon and makes fans for electricity board. It's good quality. For USHA, it was good till 2005. After the death of Jay engineerings works, Usha started making fans in hyderabad and that's not a good choice.
I have 3 khaitan high breeze fans , two of them have a large motor and one has a slightly small motor. The ones with the large motors weigh close to 10 kg and the one with the smaller motor weighs about 7.3 kg. Btw i got these fans from our property which was said to be built in the 70s , i got them removed before they demolished the building along with another 4 more Khaitan magnete fans. Im curious to know if these Khaitan high breeze fans have the same threaded downrod system as you mentioned in this video , i wanted to install the high breeze fans in a part of our new home as they are quite vintage and different. But also they are very heavy and im not sure if they have a different method for installation
Actually Khaitan high breeze as you have mentioned has threaded rod...but in that one they have an iron block in which you shove the capacitor and hold it in place with two rubber bushes, and to remove the lower canopy you need to open the nut and remove the cotter pin as far as I know and the lower canopy has a rubber seal which shouldn't be misplaced else canopy will sit loose..and as threaded rod is no more available, you cannot install those just anywhere,if at all you want to then you need to use the original rod of the fan else don't disturb the threads as it will be of no use..if you want to do it at any cost then you have to make the rod and threads..upto you now..
@@electricalbro6308 Tbh a lot of my family members didn't support me with keeping the fans telling that they are very old and they wouldn't set well with our modern house. But the day we called the electrician to remove the electric meter before the demolition he told that those fans were very unique and we would never get such ones today , so my parents agreed to keep them until further decision. Thanks for your feedback on it , now I'll think about what to do. If I get a proper electrician who clearly knows how to handle these old fans then I'll think of installing them , else I'll probably sell them
@@heavydutymachine4102 I would recommend you keep them.dont give it up,well you can either use the fan with the original rod itself or you can make the rod.... that's upto you anyways...but I recommend don't give it.they will never fail you..no matter how many generations change, these fans will not fail so easily....main thing is false ceiling,if that's the case you need to make the rod and do the threading.else fine just install them like that.no worries there's a third option if you don't feel like harming the originality nowadays there are many options in interiors where you can just use it like that,if the contractor is also good enough,I'm sure they will help.i wish you good luck anyways.
Can we use any other fan with those kind of regulator. coz i might get 2 of it and idk whether its hb or hs box logo. idk unless its removed.
Could you please make a review about crompton high speed hs 1 star ceiling fan
I too had the same fan but it is a 1997 model still running good with its original capacitor
Ah good...these are good ones actually...long lasting fans
It has hs blades
No sir, this is just plane curve, HS blades have grooves, this doesn't..if it had to then it will be visible and HS blades always have rivets, this is tightened using screw, later on after 1995 this had rivets...and HS is 1996 fan, this is 1992
Which is Usha koohinoor or prima ceiling fan
Kohinoor design itself is different, this is popular, similar to prima but smaller size, prima was only available in 48"-60"
Thanks bro 👍👍
Where did you find this
Olx
I have the same fan, the same colour.. Running for like 15+ years and in mint condition like new 🙌
Excellent! Preserve it well
Looks like a dwarf,Dwarf fan I had seen these dwarf fans at old juice shops. There is remember the bearings were making noise , i asked the shopkeeper to get the bearings replaced he was least bothered said ye 35 saal purana hai kharab ho gaya toa kabaari mai dae dengai. How much did this fan cost u?
Nice
Thanks
Rare & Unique fan you've got!
Thanks
btw i gave my hb for rewinding. im so excited

@@ari91629 Ofcourse, stay tuned
@mackypeepy Yes
WOW such a rare fan. nice
Hmm..yeah
Much better than present day Crompton HS with possibly aluminium winding
Yea,this is better, well it's not possible for present HS to have aluminium coils cause that's premium Crompton Greaves product and not vendor make like surebreeze as far as my knowledge is,but well nowadays can't predict,if the statement is true, may God save the model and the company cause it's destroyed anyways, it's construction is more towards the Riviera side with removable rotor which is not so good
Eta national (tongi) er moto
Motor ta apperance similar hoche, construction aur company different ache
Well maintained
I've the same fan
I think you have in brown
Blades design basically looks the same as old KDK, National fans...which are Japanese. Very odd design
Hmm
Nice and well built fan
Yep,I totally agree
In this video I give you simple demonstration of how to check the condition of your fan's bush,if it's good then this is how it should be as shown in the video
Well maintained fan!
Yep,but blades unoriginal maybe but used with fan for a long time
Can I have the bearings specification along with the quantity used in this model..
Upper cover 6203 and lower cover 6201 for this and if you're fan doesn't look exactly same and has metal medallion in lower cover (the shiny part of the fan in centre)then 6203 in upper cover and lower will be mostly bush
@@electricalbro6308 thanks for responding. Could you mention the quantity required..?
@@avinashg6268 2 bearings if same like this one 6203(for upper cover)and one 6201(for lower cover) if you're fan has metal type medallion (older version)then only one 6203 bearing(for upper cover) and lubricate the bush using oil

Can you do drop test?😅
Obviously not, it's something which will come to use in my daily life
@@electricalbro6308 would you use that fan 100 years? You don't have money to buy AC?
@@Anthony_The_Chicken_Licker I'll use it until there are atleast some better options as air conditioning is hazardous to the environment, and I'm not even that cheap,I can afford to buy an AC,but why do that when you can do it this way, plus here in South india we we don't require that much of AC to be precise,a high speed fan is enough and when it comes to 100 years I'm not even sure that the building may still be there,ik it's not necessary but who knows whether either of us in the video will be there or not in 100 years
@@Anthony_The_Chicken_LickerWhat is your problem man?! His fan His wish!
@@Anthony_The_Chicken_Licker Why don't you drop test yourself?
Super silent fan, how about the airflow?
Very good airflow, not kidding, good spread,as a 42" fan, worth retaining till date and very good quality
Nice!
Thank you
Bro nice fan,how much did u pay for this fan? Where did you find this jewel?
This was an old man's purchase who is in his 90's living with his grandson's family, they were renovating the flat hence gave it to me along With that brown 2000's transition period HB 56 motor with late 2000's box logo blades, got for free as uninstalled at my own risk and exchanged it for 1980's CG HB 48"(my 4th vintage collection)due to lack of space
@@electricalbro6308 Congratulations ! Excellent deal it was
Bldc fans are pure garbage ! Over and out !
This is the transition period model cause it is dated the year 2007 meanwhile in 2006 they manufactured only old eye logo and now it has a new eye logo from 2007. Thus, its a good model but Dec Air can beat this model
Well I agree but now that dec air isn't something available here to find,I went for this
