Loved the video, yep i am 60 now . our days , fished with Jim Gibinson, the 80s were so much better, had and caught , biggest 29,14 had mid 30s on and known it but couldnt land and knew it, brilliant video , waters that hold 30s now very far and between, , right place right time, hours and hours spent on the bank

Shame about the Audio mate but looked a nice busy session which is what we always want isn’t it! I sacked off mics in the end for the same reason. Wind up leave the Jack out or plugged in the wrong way round or the wrong mic plugged in and it’s devastating when you get in from a good session to find its got no audio 😂 Top skippering from Ray as per too 🫡

We got video from early 2000s him on tidal putting pike in sacks and off on boat . Bloke is a full weight w4nker. One day he left leaving carp sack with big pike in to die because he’d been caught. Also boat insurance job with nige Williams 🙈🤣🤣 con man !!!

This guy followed us around laid in grass watching where an what we caught 🙈 most under hand bloke ya would ever meet 🤣 mention Derek Gibson to him and the photo shoot he had with all those big pike went belly up. You're right about putting sleeves over crimped connections, water will get trapped and rust the wire. Seen people's traces snap because of this. I wouldn't attach the upper treble like that, you're creating a weak spot by twisting the wire. Use another crimped connection and then another to a swivel. Also, use semi barbless hooks to begin with, not crushed bards, which weaken the hook. I've been doing this for nearly 40 years, caught a lot of big pike in my time. Traces should be as good as you can make them. I'd also used a carbon or coated wire, which is much kinder across softer mouth tissue.
