for the last 37 years i have fished about 1.5 hours north of your spot. for health reasons i couldn't go this year. this video makes me dream of next year. i love the north of canada.

Love the lack of plans and just going where you go. Looks absolutely beautiful, anytime paddling and fishing is a great time. The loons calling and the moose in the water - I mean come on, it doesn't get any better than that! Heading up towards the Massey area ourselves shortly and your video makes me want to bring the canoe. 🎣

It's possible the fireplace was built for the Prince of Wales because your close-up of the old metal badge looks like a crown with the Prince of Wales feather in the centre - originally white but faded away now.

Some very nice footage. Thanks for sharing! I recognize some of the sites and landmarks from my voyages around PEI. Kudos for making the smart paddling decisions; even with my sea kayak it can get a little gnarly around the points.

Does that mean I can leave my cooking equipment at home next trip?

Me and my father have camped on that island for almost 35yrs now. Long before it was a designated camping spot. We put the original toilet on that island, made all the tables and made it a home away from home. Glad to see other taking care of it like we do. So many great memories there and now get to share it with my son! He loves it. Did you sign the tree fort? My son and father built it!

Brings back many memories of my fishing trips to Canada as a youngster with my family and friends. Thanks for the video. 😊
