      What it would cost and the amount of work to install nobody would buy it would need half the engine case redesigned and the outer cover or someone with the ability to cut gears but that would be a very small reduction to clear the oil lines that would not be worth it.

    Damn! I love this. I have a 1993 K30 with a built Humvee 6.5 going in it. I have a brand new RTO 610 that I've had sitting in my shop for about 20 years. Now I know what I'm going to do with it!!! It was built for me by Six States in Portland, Oregon years ago and I didn't know what I was going to do with it. I have a Cat 1160 that was remaned by Caterpillar and built to 3208 specs. It has about 11,000 miles on it. I was planning on putting them together in a C60 Chev and never had time to wrap it up. I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500 quad cab. 5.9 Cummins 48re auto I want to go to the Eaton 10 speed. From the way it was designed it looks like the swap will be simple I'll need to add a clutch and a few things but the trans tunnel on these 3rd gens are huge my only thought is it may not have the room for as high up as the trans needs to set. But we'll address it as I get into it I'm tired of auto trans that don't hold up to the Cummins torque plus I pull a lot of weight why not have a dependable trans to do the job.

    • @jagersgarage490
      @jagersgarage490 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 2001 I put a sae #2 housing in had more room around the flywheel housing. But the 10 speed is very wide so you would need to reshape the transmission tunnel or body lift.

    • @joesalazar770
      @joesalazar770 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wondered about that for now I have a reman 48re it's working better than any so far. We'll see. But I was measuring and your right on the 20 it's got more than 38" in three or four spots. So I think cut it and reweld a new plate. So it fits nicely you would defanatly never ever have to put another clutch or trans in. Though on my old 96 KW I did break a direct shaft running over 850 horse and 2900 pounds of torque but was pulling a full load. 😂 All in fun plus the older designed 18 speed. So it was a 6x4 with a 6 behing it essentially give u about 40 gears. As u can split gears with most Eaton's. Depends.

    • @joesalazar770
      @joesalazar770 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That looks really good and I think the 2004 has much more room between the frame rails and the length would be there I like the unmarried t case as well. And the shear size makes that whole unit much stronger. U won't go fast from shift to shift but you will be able to pull a much bigger load tire weight ratings are all that will stop that at this point and 19.5 s will solve that. Or 22. Inch. I may just get another 2004 to 08 to do this I have moded a f10p a jeep wrangler and several others there nothing that cannot be done. And the cost of doing it is all that dictates the build. A semi tractor is a good base but they cost a lot of money to get something that has not got a million miles on it. We'll see how it all goes.

    Awesome video! And yes seems like you k ow your business with these transmissions! Which is now gonna lead me to asking questions. I have an international 4600 7.3liter idi and a straight 5 speed spicer transmission , and no 2 speed rear end. Truck is way under powered, has a 14’ dump box on it… motor runs great low miles etc etc. how would I go about mating a 10 speed to this motor? Been looking at a 6.7l Cummins for a swap but don’t know how to mate the transmission, or even know where to get an adapter plate if needed? Can anyone help a fellow out?! Thanks and God Bless

    • @jagersgarage490
      @jagersgarage490 ปีที่แล้ว

      With it being a 4600 it should already have an sae flywheel housing. So you would need to figure out if it's a #1 or #2 get your transmission make sure its bellhousing is whatever SAE you have, get a clutch driveline shortened maybe a different yoke and should pretty much bolt in. For a 6.7 would be about the same just have to fine an SAE flywheel housing

    So…. What about a 13 speed or even a 18 speed on a 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen 6.7 Cummins common rail? I am in the process of doing a 1000hp build and I want all of the speed I can get. id like to go 140-160mph under 4,000rpms with minimum body lift and suspension lift needed. I have watched all of your videos and have read all of the comments. I am so…….. freaking happy that I can at least have a 10 speed with 4x4! Gosh I can’t tell you how much that makes me happy. I really don’t want noisy gears. I’d like for the transmission and transfer case to be as quite as possible. I’m planning on getting a 5th gen rolling chassis with title. So I can haul its max towing capacity. And I plan on putting on a 4th gen body with 3rd gen front fenders, and hood. I’m a 3rd gen guy. Nothing to crazy just a simple 6 door mega cab long bed dually with military 2 ton axles with normal disc brakes and lockers with DOT military bead lock wheels and H1 hummer style automatic air system for the wheels.

      those transmissions are massive, not like the baby in this video. there is a n rto613 but the aux section looks really big so I doubt you could fit it. this video shows a 600ftlb transmission the big ones you are refering to are 1200- 2150 ftlb rated transmissions.

    I'm surprised it was only getting 50mpg on the diesel honestly, I would have expected higher. I'm currently putting that same engine in a 1987 4wd honda civic, curious to see what mileage I can manage. Planning to throw a cheap ebay turbo on it to start off, add in some fuel adjustments and a higher rpm limit and highway speeds shouldn't be an issue with the 5 speed manual in it. But I'm just getting started!

    • @jagersgarage490
      @jagersgarage490 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was surprised/disappointed by 50 mpg seeing as the gas engine would get 55mpg I was expecting 60-70mpg. I have a turbo on order hoping that will help. I also need to get a tachometer working so I can run it at 2400rpm if I remember correctly that is peak efficiency. Not to discourage you I'm all about people doing there own thing I just expect with your car being 4wd and if you run higher rpm your mpg will be around 35-40.

    • @Kierpm96
      @Kierpm96 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jagersgarage490 Thats as good as the car got with the original 1.3L gas engine in it, so I couldn't be too upset. Its not full time 4wd, its got a viscous coupler to the rear end so is mostly fwd. A little worried about what rpm I'll need to be at for highway speeds, as these little honda engines sure love to rev. I may have to add a longer 5th gear to get my 60mph rpm down to a more efficient range. I found a guy on some forums who put a v2203 in a ford ranger and claimed to be getting 40mpg, but there may be more to that. I'm really hoping with the turbo, if I drive it soft and keep my speeds a little lower than I'm used to that I can get somewhere in the range of 50mpg. We'll see. Just got a lathe big enough for the modifications I need to the Kubota flywheel, one thing at a time.

    • @jagersgarage490
      @jagersgarage490 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as you like it that's all that matters and its unique. In the metro with stock tires on the govenor about 3k rpm is about 60 mph. For high mpg I think The problem we both will have is at hyw speed the little engine is just working to hard.

    • @Kierpm96
      @Kierpm96 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jagersgarage490 Honestly at highway speeds, power just shouldn't be an issue: the average car needs somewhere in the range of 10-20hp to hold 60 mph, and the Geo metro (or this civic, though its slightly larger and heavier) is smaller than an average car. Getting up there, though, and climbing hills, can take more. I think the D1105 has a rated continuous output of about 13kw for generators, but thats without the turbo or fuel adjustments I'll be using, so.... yeah I have no idea. Time will tell

    • @jagersgarage490
      @jagersgarage490 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the d1105 is rated at 25hp 50 ft lbs I have done minor fuel adjustments and it helped alot fire getting to speed if I remember correctly with turbo its rated at 30-35hp and I think 70 ft lbs when I get the turbo I'll do a video
