Love this and plan on making one today! ❤
yay! so glad you like it!
I LOVE making things like this! Thank you for sharing this video. Clear instructions. Great 👍 job!
So glad you enjoyed it! I love quick and practical projects like this too!
How would I do this pattern with 2 colors? I've one someone gave me that is white in one row and then a light gray in the next alternating each row. Then another one someone gave me that has yellow and green yarns that alternate in a star form kind of. The are perfect I think for Christmas tree ornaments
You could try changing colors after each row or two.
I’m struggling with the quadruple trebles being too loose at the top. Really wanted to make this scarf, it’s so cute, but apparently ‘easy’ is too difficult for me, lol
Don't feel bad, it took me a while and some practice to get my tension right on these tall stitches. Hang in there and you'll figure it out!
///
Awesome. I've been looking for this type for months.
Thank you for posting! Very helpful for a frustrated newbie.
So glad it was helpful!! ☺
How long did you make this scarf
60 inches
i have never used this stitch and will be trying it on my next charity donation hat i crochet! thanks for taking the time to explain the stitch, Esther. your explanation was very helpful to a visual learner like me♥
I'm so glad you like it Susie! Thank you for your kind words! ❤
Cute, love to try sparkly and tinsel yarns!
hope you love it! 😄
Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial.
so glad you enjoyed it!
great addition to a gift, thanks for the idea♥
you're welcome! Glad you like it!😄
I absolutely love that!! Thank you so much!!
I came here from Pinterest looking for your sandrift scarf. I like to keep everything together on TH-cam. Please add the video here. It's a cute pattern.
Do you mean this one? th-cam.com/video/_jOqTDM3f3w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IMagLSdiMTlPWnkB
Wow ❤❤❤
Cute
Where can I buy the yarn?🧶 I have searched on both Etsy and Amazon 👀
I am so sad to hear this yarn has been discontinued! ☹️ It was very unique! But the bag can certainly be done with any yarn as long as you just pay attention to the measurement instructions. I would suggest a sturdy cotton yarn (not soft and floppy) or a thinner T-shirt yarn.
But, YOU are as cute as a cute button! 0:28
You are so sweet 😄😄
I loved your tutorial! 🎉🎉 It’s pretty cool to learn something new, unlike the traditional way of crocheting. 😊 I am still going back and forth, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything(always counting)! And so far so good! I wish the sample you made was in a different color but I still got it! Thank you so so so much! ❤❤❤
So glad you like it! I hope it is still going well!
Thank you so muuch for sharing that with us
Love this modern twist on crochet! I can’t wait to try this. Thank you. 🥰 You’re also a very good teacher. I’m 6 months into crochet, and I could easily follow your instructions. 👍
Thank you so much for your kind words! This made my day! ☺
Looove this pattern but it looks like this yarn has been discontinued ☹️ any alternatives you would recommend for the same sturdiness?
oh noo@ I am so sad about this because it was so unique! However, I do think a tshirt yarn would be very sturdy. It is a little different to use since it is stretchy, but it could work. A real sturdy cotton yarn would also be good. Not the soft and silky stuff.
Love that! I need to make some. Thank you❤
Instead of making a foundation chain like how you've made, can I chain 250 chains first and then make hdc all the way through?
Thank you ❤
Very nice and easy, love it
Seems like a big waste of time and material to have all that bulk inside, why not attach strap to the sides?
That would certainly be an alternative. I felt the long strap would make it more sturdy and durable.

Love it !!! ❤ def gonna make some !!
Just made one. Thank you for the easy pattern.
I lost the end of the 5th round of base. Now I can't figure out where to end the 6th round. Can you please help??
I would just pull out the stitches back to the beginning of the round and start that round over.
Can i use cotton yarn
Cute! thanks for the inspiration!
Nice thanks for this! Btw did you use all the yarn for this project?
This pattern requires either 2 regular skeins of Lily Sugar N Cream or one Super size.
how can I size it with different yarn sizes (a thicker tshirt yarn for example), how many stitches should I use to get it the same size as yours? I'm using a 9 hook
It's hard to know without doing it myself. You would need to just follow the instructions but stop when your panels are the correct size. Sizing of the panels is listed in the written instructions here: www.caabcrochet.com/crossbody-bag-crochet-pattern-belt-bag/. For the strap and the center panel you will just stitch until you get the width and length you want.
Thank you for the video I never used that yarn it looks like its hard to crochet with. Because of the thickness
It is definitely more stiff than regular yarn. However, it is worth it for the shape and durability it creates for this kind of project.
Thank you for an Easy to follow tutorial 😍 i just made one (without the strap as i bought a leather one) from acrylic chunky for my bf. In about 2 hours done ☺️
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! <3
Hi, I want to increase the stitches because my cup is bigger to top. Could you pls show me how to do it. I am new with crochet. Thank you so much. From Vietnam
Do you mean that you want the holder to get wider partway up, or do you want the whole thing wider from the base to the top? Or do you just need it taller?
Thank you for your reply. I would like to get it wider partway up to hold starbuck stainlesscup. Thanks again.
@@NguyetKhanhtran I do not know of a way to increase with the star stitch. I would think the best way to do it would be to switch to another basic stitch for a few rows that could incorporate some increases and then when you have the width you want, switch back to the star stitch.
can we do this in single crochet projects?
yes, it should work just the same! :)
This tutorial is so stupid and I hated it 😒
So true
prefer written
The easiest crochet that I’ve ever watched. Thank you 💕
Hi, im still new at crocheting. Is it ok if I use milk cotton yarn? Is it the same?
I am not super familiar with what milk cotton is. From googling, it sounds like it is not actually cotton. It is probably fine if you use it, but I am not familiar with the qualities. It might not be as easy to wash as cotton is.
I bought the pattern on Etsy, got to the star stitch, and got completely lost lol.
I hope the video was helpful!
Thank you
How could i make it without the buckle? I don't have a big enough one
You would need to find another way to attach the ends of your straps. Either a different kind of buckle, or you could sew the two ends together at the length you want the strap. It just wouldn't be adjustable.
love this pattern! I've had a skein of scrubby yarn sitting around for awhile and this is exactly what I was looking for :)
So glad you like it! ☺
My granddaughter just sent me this link with a request for me to make one. Seeing her tomorrow so into my stash I go!
Hope she loves it!
Can you make this with Acrylic yarn or does it have to be corded?
You could use acrylic. It just might be a little more flexible/soft, as the cording yarn is a little more stiff.
