Haddock fishing, Newburyport, MA (7/27, 2024)
Tried haddock fishing in Newbury port in July. We couldn’t catch any target fish (haddocks) but caught many different kind of fish including mackerel, cusk, pollock, cod, whiting, and sea robin.

The wave was crazy but tautog bite was very active. The fishing spot was about 10 min away from the Point Judith shore. We caught 8 tautog keepers and 1 Black Sea bass.

Tog's biting was very active although the wave was tough. It's the best season for togging in October and November in RI.

지난 12월 1일 화이트크랲 타톡 낚시 쑈트영상 잘 봤어요~ 기회가 되면 풀 영상 보고 싶군요~ 화이트크랲이 효과가 있는지도 궁금하고 요즘 낚시 동영상도 볼게없으니
겨울이 되면 초톡이 좀 더 따뜻한 수심이 깊은 곳으로 이동합니다. 겨울철 토톡낚시는 갯바위에서는 안되고 배를 타야 하는데요. 미끼로 사용하는 그린크랩은 주로 강하구나 수심이 얉은 바다에 살고, 화이트크랩은 주로 슈심이 좀 더 깊은 곳에 서식합니다. 그래서 겨울철 토톡 배낚시 미끼는 화이트크랩이 확실히 더 좋습니다. 큰것은 껍질이 너무 딱딱해요. 작은 사이즈 크랩이 훨씬 더 잘뭅니다.

낚시 하고 남은거 한번 쪄먹어 봤는데요. 별로 먹을게 없었어요. 드시지 마세요. ㅋㅋㅋ. 참고로, 그린크랩은 배에서 공짜로 주는데, 화이트크랩을 한 바케스에 40불을 주고 살 수 있습니다. 양이 제한적이라 재빨라야 구매를 할 수 있습니다. 저는 처음 사용해 보는 것이라 큰게 좋은줄 알았는데.... 작을수록 입질을 잘 한다고 하더군요. 작은 화이트크랩을 사용하는 분들은 우리보다 훨~씬 많이들 잡는 것을 보았습니다.
그렇지 않아도 겨울엔 언제까지 토톡이 나오는지 궁금했습니다. 갯바위에서는 겨울내내 가능한가요?
11월 말이 되면 토톡은 좀 더 따뜻한 깊은 바다로 이동했다가 4월 말에 다시 돌아 옵니다. 12월에는 갯바위에서는 더이상 잡히지 않습니다. 차터보트 혹은 파티보트를 타고 좀 더 깊은 수심으로 나가야 합니다. 북동부 뉴잉글랜드 지역은 겨울철에는 잡을 고기가 없는게 참 아쉬워요!

I haven’t had a lot of luck at beavertail this year. Looks like a fun day. I’m about to go to fort Adam for the last time and end this year fishing season.
Yes, it’s about the end of fishing season. Hope you had a good luck in the Fort Adams. Fishes are migrating to warmer and deeper water. Party boats would be a good option.

대서양 고등어는 찌개맛은 한인마트 노르웨이산 고등어맛을 따라가진 어려울것 같아요. 하지만 고등어 회맛은 고소한 것이 아주 좋더군요. 이 시즌에 맛볼 수 있는 아주 별미... 강추 합니다.
고등어 잡으러 출조해야 할듯 ~~~ ㅎㅎㅎ
이제 더 추워지면 올해 낚시는 거의 끝나갑니다. 더 늦기 전에 한번 다녀 오세요.

@ you too I am probably going to eastern point lighthouse on Someday. Some tips I have is that when it is low tide you cast on the left side the one facing the ocean. When high tide you fish the left side in between the lobster traps. And last Monday I went they were jumping by the 100s on the ocean side. Good luck and I hope to meet you some day Bonaggi
Anywhere north east of the Pacific Ocean if you’re fishing off rocks the way these guys are doing you will need a three but preferred a (4 ounce) at the tide is rough

많이 잡히지는 않지만 12월 초까지도 잡힙니다.
What size jig are you using?? I’ve been experimenting with them. I’m not sure what weight to use
I use 4/0 hooks and 4 oz sinkers.

@ Beavertail would still be the best. I saw may charter boats, party boats, and small private boats near the Beavertail on Monday. Biting was so fast although biting were from small togs. I went to Narragansett on Tuesday but there were not many tautog bites. Many bitings from small sea bass were annoying.
