I have not tried it. I am thinking the glue would wash off eventually as it comes in contact with water.

Yes, you can do double sided or you can also do one side only. Its is a preference although you can imagine double sided is more appealing.

Omg thank you so much. I have been searching high and low for the material to make my own. the one's that i order cannot sublimate on the entire lanyard leaving white space . so for adults you are saying add 4 inches making it 40 inches instead of 36 right?

I would think it would be difficult to line the transfer up on the second side.
@@leahdax you may be correct. I've never attempted to make a lanyard but if one made a template then every design on either side would be in the exact same location and after adhering the material to one side it would be a matter of matching the two pages. Just a thought.
You would need a press that heats up both sides evenly. There are industrial machines that can do that.

i just bought this exact webbing. Followed your steps exactly, temp and even cut time to 30 instead of 60. Melted the webbing completely. It shrunk up and is hard as a rock now.
Are you sure that you had polyester webbing and not polypropylene webbing? Polypropylene melts at a much lower temp than the polyester webbing. Also, is your heat press accurate. Mine runs hot and I have to adjust it down. Just a thought.

It varies depending On what connection you use. 12-15 dollars.

You do not print the width of the paper. You print the length of the roll. @@judichristopher4604

there is concern that sublimation onto vinyl can lead to dye degradation. One alternative that is worth considering is the use of thermal lamination film. The material is PET (polyethylene terpthalate) which is the substrate on which dye sub ink is designed to bind. There is also a two part ester resin that is being offered for the purpose of providing a suitable base for dye sub ink. Great video! Thanks
We use lamination film on occasion. It works well over many surfaces such as canvas, wood, etc. Good point. So far the lanterns have held up.
@@dsignsbyaandj6848 I'm wondering if I could run some lamination film through a thermal Dye Printer (ie Selphy) to get a removable image that can be ultimately laminated onto a sheet of photographic emulsion. I'm just concerned about killing a new Selphy :)
yes mine on the oracle have faded also my glass cutting boards have faded. I am going to try the lamination film. it is just the regular lamination you put into a laminator isn't it

It varies by Market but we have sold them from 15-20 dollars here with no issue.

Do you have issues with the images getting blurry over time? Approximately 1 year has gone by and the images seem blurry. I can show you what I mean if I can email you the pictures.
I recommend using a battery light instead of a fire candle. I think the fire and heat causes some of the blurryness.
