Replacing Honda Civic Rear Sway Bar Links
In this video I'm replacing rear sway bar links on a 2013 Honda Civic.
I'm demonstrating two different methods of removing the links. The first of which is the more difficult way but allows you to possibly reuse the link which is helpful if you just need to remove it temporarily.
The second way which is the easiest involves cutting the studs on the stabilizer link which is much quicker and is helpful for stubborn rusty parts that are difficult to remove.
Replacement parts used in the video are available from PartsMatrix.ca using the links below:
Left Rear: partsmatrix.ca/s/moog-K750125-suspension-stabilizer-bar-link/2013/Honda/Civic
Right Rear: partsmatrix.ca/s/moog-K750126-suspension-stabilizer-bar-link/2013/Honda/Civic

    Had a similar issue doing LCA’s, where the bolt would just spin in place & not back out. Like in your video, had a small gap where the bolt partly came out. Ended up being able to get a ball joint separator in btwn the bolt & body. Then, used 2 impacts to drive the BJ separator open & back out the bolt at the same time. Worked like a charm.

    I had a 2017 Ram 1500. Around the 29000 mileage marker. I developed a intermittent no crank, no start. Well i sent it to the dealership under warranty. They called me hours later to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong. I picked the truck up and drove it home. Next day same thing. So i disconnected the battery. Jacked up the truck and removed that dust shield. I took a 1/4 inch ratchet and a 13mm socket. I turned the main nut on the positive battery cable at the starter a quarter turn. Climbed out from underneath the truck. Reconnected the battery and bam. The truck started up and was fine. Till the day i turned it in for a newer ram. Which was over a year later. Since 2017. I have owned two 4th gen rams and two 5th gen rams. Not because they're junk.

    On top of your screen should be a plate. When you put the cover over the rotor it has small marks that must line up it it won't work. When you shut the tractor off you should hear the filter continue spinning. Not the very outer cover the one where you need a screw driver. Must line up with notch on rotor. They are very small. Once lined up scribe a better mark. If it's not spinning after it's not working. Is order a screen and on top of the impeller is a metal plate with a hole that fits over the shaft. When it's working the inside walls will be caked with gunk. We had ours for a long time before we figured this out.

      They should be but check first. Under the dash on the driver's side near the radio there should be two connectors wrapped in grey foam. Easy to find without taking anything apart.

      @nothandsomebuthandy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry I misunderstood your first question about the reverse hot, I thought you were talking about the signal wire on the reverse camera. The wires I ran through the dash and spliced in the right side panel are the reverse camera signal and ground (which connect to the yellow rca). The reverse signal wire (to turn on the camera) is included in the adapter harness.

    Nothing surprises me when your building anything.. you are so innovative and knowledgeable about what you know. My only thing i wish you would have done is painted your logo black instead of green so it would have stood out more with the different color 😉.. you need to put a patent on that rig. Good job 👏

    Is it ok to use a metal hammer i dont have a rubber one or should i go buy a rubber one? And do i have to tap it at the same time while hitting it?

    • @nothandsomebuthandy
      @nothandsomebuthandy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A metal one is fine but just tap lightly to begin with. You're looking to vibrate the locking pin loose so the solenoid can pull it back. It's best to have a second person who can wiggle the steering wheel a little and press the start button while you tap on the box. Once the car goes to the on position you can stop tapping and pull the fuse. Don't forget to have the key fob in the car with a good battery. Maybe put it in the fob slot to be safe.
