♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Nas is so handsome 🥰🤤 and a dope artist love him
I love this man ❤
0:30
Is this the full nas interview? Will you have him back to discuss another one of his great songs and go deeper in depth how he became the lyrical genius he is?
Fuckin cringy
This was beyond beautiful.....
The album is 30 years old and still holds up and the themes represented still apply to the people in the situations presented. Truly timeless
Dope
Where do I get the rest of this video??
She's classically trained in poetry but he is *made* of it. You can see he naturally speaks poetically, where she points out his dialogue he sees it as simply expression.
Great lyrics and a truly great song
What an honor❤
the best rap song that was written (pun intended) imo. ...
even more respect for my 'godsister'
Wow, that's rough... but I get it, casting is excruciating, and directly limited. Harsh, but real
This is my favorite Nas song,i listened to this song for years as a kid before i flipped the tape over and heard the entire album
this feels like a sketch from _Atlanta_
Good attempt, but she wasn’t prepared to deal with who she was talking to. Still nice to see though
Nas’ song “Ether” is considered the greatest beef track of all time. He took down Jay Z with it (Nas Jay Z beef was huge and Jay Z was rolling with the dark side the whole time). Literally now there is a verb in English because of it: Ethered - meaning to ruthlessly humiliate an opponent. Then Nas wrote jams about empowering the children, like “I Can” and “If I Ruled the World.” Nas’ wife cheated on him with Jay Z and then Jay Z released songs about leaving condoms on Nas’ kids’ car seat. Nas stayed real, man. It feels good to see it.
OG Nas salute brother your a inspiration to us fasho brother 🙏✊👌✌️🤝
Yoo.. I would LOVE to hear you break down the lyrics of "400 Degreez" with Juvenile AKA 'Juve'!!! 😂💯💯💯
nope not happening
Jeez, What rubbish, its NOT music, & there is NO poetry anywhere, its just TAT !.
Were you not paying attention? Ignorance like this stops music from evolving.
tell me you don’t listen to rap without telling me. Go listen to I Can by Nas, Be by Common or TPAB by Kendrick Lamar so you can understand how ignorant this comment was
@@bob-5c Jeez, I just knew that if i chose my words carefully i could trigger someone, & it worked, ha, ha, ha.
@@Shhhhh183 Jeez, Its not music, rappers rap because they can't sing ! !.
@@francishughes2016 im not triggered, you just said something dumb and i educated you. if you read anger in that you need to take a good look at yourself
she needs to talk about get low with lil john LOL
Interesting, she’s is quite pretentious , but very cool interview. Maybe she seems pretentious due to the extreme difference in the two socioeconomic sub populations they are from. It could also be that Harvard is pretentious and Cambridge, MA is a cess pool of left wing weirdness. She’s kinda “telling ,” him what he was trying to say. It’s like he’s just “ too black” and “too street “ for anyone, especially a white person to know what he’s saying. But the she takes it a step further and, pretty much, “helps him to understand,” what he really means because… he’s “too black” and “too street,” for him to even know what he’s saying means. So she’s gonna be the typical “black whisperer,” Liberal and she well help break down his thoughts in a simple and easy to understand format. Thus way whites, blacks and even himself will get to what’s really spilling out of his “grapefruit,” which fortunately, she helped us to understand he means his mind. 😲 Weird.
This is beautiful. More people to.need to hear this. Im embarrassed..but I had no idea you were an actual performer, until I went hunting for a way to get a message to you. You have a great sense of humor, and seriously...a talented singer and song writer. I am a female btw...I didnt want you thinking some guy was stalking you!!! 😆
Shalom Alicia. I hope you see this. I am a Christian. I started to honor the Sabbath a few weeks ago and I ran across your "Shalom Alechiem" song on Bim bam. I LOVE IT!! I play it even when its not Shabbat because it is so beautiful. I want to tell you, even if you dont know me, I.pray for you and Israel. I support Israel as much as I van by prayer and by finances. I live alone (very alone) so I am so grateful for your music. I dont know iif you have a relationship with Yeshua....but I want to leave this verse ISAIAH 53 And Proverbs 30:4. Please....read them both. The answer to both is Yeshua. G-d bless you and your family.❤
Nothing is lamer than breaking down your raps to some old white Jewish professor lady who's treating you like a clapping seal
i disagree, she trying to understand so she can teach to her students
She gave him head when the video ended
She was probably a hottie in her day, quiet is as kept. Kinda still is..😬 Great great interview/session. We need more of this from other artist.
she low key leveled up the entendre count... and he gave her the credit... his original notes with the verses from Illmatic should be in the Lourve sitting behind bullet proof glass.
Art makes comfortable people uncomfortable. The true definition of NAS. This man can paint a whole story with just words.
I want to thank you for this eye-opening depiction of "the plight of the African American". It was truly inspiring and I hope that everyone who sees it is as inspired as I was to right this wrong. It is so sad that anyone has to live with this stigma held over them for no fault of their own. I can almost assuredly say that most people without color (as if that was possible, lol) would not have been able to go through the years of oppression that the average AA goes through on a daily basis. So AA's deserve the utmost respect for not going on a rampage like they did in VA (shout out to Nat Turner) & killing as many as they could (DC sniper, but I don't know if it was racial with him.) But you get what I'm saying, a strong people as well as merciful. Those pinks should be glad, cause they could be getting treated the same way.
Nas is Great
I'm amazed this is my first time seeing this interview😮 I used to break down other people's raps in a similar way as a youngster and it enabled me to formulate my own raps. When you see what a rap song looks like on physical notebook paper you get a certain perspective that allows you to build further.
You make my day. I love your flow and lyrics. Quite more than a Grammy.
The most important and impactful writer of the last 50 yrs without question
JAY Z COULD NEVER 😂😅 respect these two goats but Nas is just a different rapper/poet jay z is just an amazing rapper
Drake stans could never understand
Nas could end his career whenever he feels like lol. Wish Mos Def would’ve already
Timeless & so real ☮️
...'and that's oneof the ways your pen is extreme'. Incredible ❤❤
“Now it is! I didn’t think of that.”
True God dropping jewels early …helped guide me
Nas is one of the GOATs. The voice, the flow, the whole package
Pac and Nas 2 of the greatest rap artist ever and 2 phenomenal poets
I meant have done. I think.
A Harvard professor kicking it with a NYC legendary street rapper. And now, Black people can't even attend Harvard U without hundreds of thousands of dollars because of the elimination of affirmative action and DEI, it's really a shame what racism and classism in politics has done, yo!
For me these white folks always find to fool us thinking they appreciate when they are the snakes😢
🙄
Nas is insane. He got these lyrics from the aliens.
