I never understood the hate for this film, I enjoyed it. Because if this movie, I'm starting to feel that once a few popular critics say something (good or bad), everyone wants to jump on the band wagon, to sound cool by copying a similar comment. There are so many movies that are worst that Joker 2 that critics live for, I don't get it. For example I think Heretic is a boring and crap movie but all the critics gave it amazing reviews.

Would love to see some short (15-20 minute) videos on his more recent albums since your more in depth project won’t make it to his current day work for several years. The first verse I can very much relate to from my experience in a 12 step program, which Manson has been doing for awhile now as he will have 4 years sober on Feb 5. It’s step 5. I knew you would love it. Really enjoyed your Analysis. You have to know a lot of quotes and sayings to understand mm. Even than the meaning is open in metaphors. Some Songs even are a complete metaphor. And He often changes sayings to a funny way. This was one of the sadest Songs ever. Loved the high voice,too.great guitar solo.but, Who Do you think they are? Bravo on your extremely insightful, even monumental analysis of Penda’s Fen. I watched the film for the first time only 3 weeks ago and I can honestly say it was the richest, most intellectually stimulating and artistically gratifying 128 minutes of my life. Your exhaustive and in-depth review illuminates beautifully the many layers of meaning which make this brilliant film such a masterpiece. It is my hope that Penda’s Fen will one day become part of the curriculum of every university film course throughout the English speaking world. I did an MA in Film studies in England back in the early 90’s and Penda’s Fen was not even on the radar. Thank you for giving this film the focus of your sharp intellect. Such a remarkable achievement of film analysis is obviously a labour of great love.

I don’t get ALL the hate either. I don’t love it, but meh it wasn’t the worst movie ever. Y’all know the first one wasn’t that great either. HEAVILY borrows from King of Comedy. Go watch that movie and come back. People say it rips off Taxi Driver but more so King of Comedy. I don’t even like musicals and wasn’t bothered by any of the songs. I guess I want to know what people expected? That he would figure out how to make poison gas and escape? More Batman memberberries? You know this guy wasn’t going to end up as THE Joker. The Joker is completely maniacal. This Joker never was that.

Everyone watched a movie that everyone hates but they love Cool. Biggest problem with sequels in general is that by changing well most of it from previous one. It kind of makes people angry. Best sequels are the movies that expand on the subject, perfect the formula. Like Terminator 2.

i loved it. Absolutely delighted that i got to see it in cinema.

My main pet peeve - Lyrical composition and, to almost the same extent, production relying on an gargantuan amount of contributors. I mean, come on! Does West really needs two dozen 'lyricists' to come up with an average song? And I also particularly love how he takes all the credit. Is not like he's in a band, ensemble or whatever.

James’ weird guitar dance looks like he’s trying to imitate Les Claypool’s weird jig in the Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver music video. It made sense there because Primus were dressed up as plastic cowboys and it helped add to the surreal nature of their music video. With James it looks out of place and really stupid.

Often times those who identify as being on the left (most especially liberal) are far more centrist, center-right, or even just slightly left of the hard right. That’s often because with how the right is currently portrayed, anything less than a full-on MAGA-boasting can seem left by comparison. Which it hardly ever actually is, of course. As for all of the TYT reporters making the “unexpected” switch, there’s really one motivating factor at play… it’s the $$$. It’s the desire for an easier gig with the perk of a bigger check. Being a talking head for the right is as easy as Tim Pool makes it look every day; the dude reads the first few sentences of hot button articles on the spot and then contorts and reacts to them in the way his viewers want to hear, sometimes at his own expense when it’s clear he chose an article that is a direct rebuttal to the message he wants to sell. But every day on his show it’s just rinse and repeat anyway. That’s because for “reporters” such as him, their audiences usually seek very little more than a validation to their own biases, their personal displeasures or even their anxieties, which they are usually manipulated into believing are purely the faults of immigrants, public schools, LGBTQ+ individuals, etc. Which of course they aren’t actually. These are all a means to dissuade them from supporting their own short and long-term self-interests by inciting class-on-class destabilization and replacing any potential solidarity they could have developed within their own working class with a trust of and support of the Elites who don’t care about them at all. So basically making the switch is a great grift and it pays more than any leftist, socialist or truly working class person in the same position would. It pays even more if you have a flair for the dramatics and a convincing cadence regarding impending civil wars, the national debt, or trusty border turmoils.
