Made my day :) Side note: I am never offended (I thought it was sweet) , although if you want, you can pronounce my name as "Karen" (funny, because I am not that type of person), which would be the closest way to pronounce it. I think your pronunciation was pretty good. Back to this awesome song. I agree with you that while some of GnR's songs are dark, the music itself & Axl's singing just makes us happy & and takes us away. I always feel their songs in my core, they are that incredible. Axl has a "few different people" in his vocal abilities, so I also 100% understand what you meant about the way he switches between his "voices". His range is crazy (in the best way). To this day, even after all these years of being a huge GnR fan, I find that I have to re-listen to some select parts of specific songs (or the whole song) more than once. GnR are that good. I forgot to add that Don't Cry is the very first song GnR wrote, as a band. It was officially released in 1991, but it is an older song than songs which were released in previous GnR albums. Awesome reaction :) This song is Duff's song. Also, it is very neat that a few GnR songs feature Axl's baritone (his natural voice, which he also uses in Mr. Brownstone, as you said) vocals, because Axl likes to mostly use his huge, crazy range (which I also love), so we get to experience Axl's full range, throughout GnR's albums.

Gorgeous song! Thanks for the shoutout, Matt. Duff’s bass is one of my favorite parts of GNR’s magic mix. I like that you mentioned their versatility too. And I really can’t pick a favorite Slash solo, but this one sure tries to push to the top of my list. Like you said, not flashy, just perfect for the song. I love the layered vocals throughout and how it goes from soothing to uplifting. Shannon Hoon is singing the high background vocals throughout. Axl was friends with his sister in Indiana, and when he found out Shannon’s band was covering this song back home, he invited him to sing on it when he came out to L.A. The “trilogy” songs all have cinematic videos and fun documentaries. Estranged is just exquisite. For a change of pace, how about Down on the Farm (a cover) or Garden of Eden (preferably with the video). A raucous wake-up-shake-up after a ballad. Or if you’re looking to get into their videos, I’d start with Welcome to the Jungle or Paradise City, to get that live ferocity. Enjoyed your reaction as always! 🤘
