Is there a way to make this axel work with a chain …im trying to put a dif engune on it and was wondering if theres a way to make it work wit a chain
Vendo seu vídeo aqui no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, Brasil, tenho um d4d.
That’s great I hope you enjoy the videos thanks for watching
What is that square button for by the seat?
Awesome 🏁
You should have bought Cat bolts for that track they are special bolts that goes in them
What kind of oil did you use, i want to replace mine but im getting mixed reviews
@@BrianG-xj4nu whatever oil tractor supply has you could ask 100 people what oil to use and get 100 different answers I’ll check and see if I have any empty ones and let you know what I used
what was the part number for the proper Rear U-Joint - i cant find it anywhere?
Tenho um d4d aqui no mato grosso do sul Brasil, trator ainda operacional
Eu tenho um aqui no Brasil e ainda é operacional. Boa sorte
I think you said you couldn't get the bolts loose in the idler yolk. But if you can break them you can split the yolk/fork whatever you want to call it, and you don't have to break the track. But thats not too bad with alligator style master link. I just did mine and it hasn't been packed in 30 or 40 years. So long I had to buy new cylinders because about all the chrome was eaten off. I cleaned it up good and sprayed everything with PB and let it sit a couple days and every bolt broke loose luckily by wrench, or either 2 wrenches hooked. I have a long and short anvil Ingersoll Rand 2850 1 inch impacts, and if the bolt doesn't ring off they will spin you or the dozer over...lol. But you can't get on but one or two of those bolts with anything but a wrench. Anyhow you have to drive the master pin out to separate my tracks so I avoid that at all costs. If its a D4 or a D7 or whatever, those master pins are no fun. Is that blade factory? I didn't know any of those had a 6 way... mine is an ancient old 78A serial from about 64'. Also have a D6C same year, straight drive with turbo. You can't hardly kill those ol' dozers, other than final drive problems.
Great video. I think my D3G is in need of same adjuster rebuild. Recommendation is for 2" of track sag. I prefer a little less like 1.25" to 1.5". Thanks for the video. Stay safe.
Pretty sure there is a bush/collar that slides into the seal then the pin slides inside collar/ bush. . Also there is a oring.
Thanks man,now I will do my own!👍🏻
It's OK, you had a bus to reach. No greasing, seals wrong place, not cleaning brakes etc. Sorry. Still you seem to be skilled
👍
Please can you show me a transmission filter for dozer d4h
I've been down the cross over tube battle. That's why I make sure to take it out as one unit when I shim my cams.
Just wondering if your d4 has wet brakes/clutches it looks like it might have they didn't make many of them most d4,s are dry brakes?
Hi Like your dozer sounds good can you do more videos on it working, I have one as well. Thanks
Awesome content! Sub'd!
Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching
I like to see videos like this, especially making one out of two units. Definitely good for do it yourselfers. Keep up the good work
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching
Your welcome liked your kfx450 video to. I just picked one up a 2008 and I'm having tons of back firing issues and lean conditions. So it was nice to finally see a video up of that to. Can't seem to find any
Keep up the good work. Hope to see the channel grow
nice job!
Thank you
I think you did an excellent job. Love the pond.
Thank you
Good old uchida pump. I ordered a rebuild kit from china for mine local hydraulic shop was useless
That’s what I had to do also
Check your valve body, could be sticking or bad seal. Least it didn't do more damage. Nice machine though.
I hate that. when that swashplate blew sideways it destroyed your pump totally! That open side with the clip did exactly what it's supposed to to keep from splitting the housing.
Yes I think the shaft broke first as I lost my left drive when I spun the house 180 to pick it up and check it out I lost the rest of my hydraulics thanks for watching
They really don’t give you any warning when they self destruct sucks when they do that worst part is sending brass and metal through the system . I used dc heavy hydraulics in South Carolina for my hydraulic pump on my cat 320c really good people to deal with they take care of shipping for you real easy just some info for you good luck !
Thanks for the info but even the best shops that claimed they could fix or find any pump couldn’t fix it they said no parts were available being gray market
Generally speaking yanmar excavators are very reliable piece of equipment. Camarata has exactly the same one b50 5 tonnes. And he swears by them and he reckons they don't need any parts because they never break down. But all depends on the previous owners and how they used and serviced the machine.the drawback is a bit hard to find parts for the machine that is more than 30 years old.it is all a grey market for spare parts.i notice a strange noise during hydraulic use .that might be an indication of hydraulic pump going out soon..and they not cheap to rebuild or replace second hand..but again you only get what you paid for and you should be ready to fix and bring the machine to its former glory.keep up the good work and good luck.
Not much left its a real mess
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! How hard was it to get parts for it? I love those old Yamar's and would love to buy the same exact machine. How much did you pay for it. It's a perfect size and nice and easy to work on. The only thing it needs is a hydraulic thumb.🍻
Seems like it’s hit or miss on parts pump parts came from china but other than that you can still get oem parts I have a manual thumb but I will be adding a hydraulic one at some point. I paid too much but I say that about everything thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it
watch Andrew Camarata, he's always making videos of cutting, maintaining roads in this type of area. Also I don't know the time line but that Yanmar you just got would help in installing some of that plastic pipe you salvaged.
And all this time I was just wasting grease. Who knew
I'm thinking on buying 1 real soon. Thanks for the information. Have a great day be safe.
Very nice! Super cool demonstration!
Hello, can this also be done when removed? and how do I clamp it? lg
TPS Sensor
And the way I connected it to my Honda crf, it doesn't work, I get a value of 2.6v.
I got the lock nuts off how does the axle come out? Please help.
You this be pretty much the same for a yamaha dx225 3 wheeler?
What is the shifter above the front wheel? for mine has a hole there but I can’t fine what its for
Thanks I got one my self I got to replace all bearing and I’m hoping it has that same bearing as that can find no dates on it
Need to replace the seals on my 955L Track Loader. I replaced the same side about a year ago, but got a rock caught in the track in a creek and the seal blew again. Your video was a very good refresher for me to tackle this repair again. I got a quote to get it repaired by a professional but $2,500 makes me want to DIY it again. Thanks for the video, it was helpful and there is a lot of overlap with your machine and the 955. It has the alligator track connection also. Thanks for a great video on track tensioner repair. There are not a lot of people that have knowledge or experience with these types of repairs, which makes your video all the more valuable for a machine owner
I’m glad it helped you out and saving 2500 is the best part good luck and thanks for watching
Man, what a great video! My interest was the tension/track adjuster. I have a 2006 D5G and don't know if it is the same but hopefully similar. I don't have a manual for it, so I have to continue researching to find one. Again, very informative video, easy watching and very understanding. Some videos, the speaker is hard to understand for one reason or another. Yours was none of those. Thank you.
I’m glad you liked it and hope yours is the same I’m not sure if it is this is my first cat dozer I had a jd350 but never had a issue with the tensioner on it thanks for watching
I am doing this to an 87 Yamaha moto 4. I can't decide whether to do this method or the weld trick. I'm assuming it falls out because of heat but metal expands when heated so the welding doesn't make sense atm. I will try the weld trick and if it falls out I'll let you know. LOL.
Good luck with it and thanks for watching
Great video.. Effort to setup for us is amazing.
Glad you liked it thanks for watching
Wow man I was about to take my pump off and have it rebuild because it dies I prime it runs for ten minutes and loses prime over and over again. My seal is also leaking I'm glad I found your video ima going to do the same thing. I'd be interested in talking to if you would be a huge help let me know if that would be possible
I’m glad the video was helpful be sure to get a repair manual it was a huge help for me good luck and thanks for watching
@@sweetrigstv9520 Ya man I'm ordering one today there is so many different variations my first 3 of the Vin is 83j. Did you get your manual from Cat or ebay? I think my pump is bad because it's back feeding oil into the fuel system runs the filter down half way and dies. Thanks
@@zacharyholbrook7930 I got my manual on eBay
Good cut with d4d just practice more you get it pure simple.good luck
That orange over on the left control should be your safety. It should move up and down to lock and unlock.
Yes you are correct I took it apart lubed it up and it is the safety thank you and thanks for watching
Did you struggle to reconnect the fuel line back on the motor? Mines acting like it doesn’t want to seat all the way on. I don’t wanna force it and break anything.
Try putting a little lube on it it will take alittle force there should be a plastic lock on it make sure it is open or pull it out completely
@@sweetrigstv9520 Got it. Ended up using a pair of channel locks and squeezing it on just think I was too worried about putting pressure on it.
Thank you for Your video. It really helped me. Couldn’t have fixed my quad with out your help.
I’m glad it helped you out thanks for watching
@@jasonlastname3798 I’m not exactly sure it’s been awhile since I did that and don’t even have that anymore I would suggest getting a repair manual I never had one and some things I did never made it to video good luck
@@sweetrigstv9520 I called Yamaha yesterday. Got it squared away.
