Need to replace the seals on my 955L Track Loader. I replaced the same side about a year ago, but got a rock caught in the track in a creek and the seal blew again. Your video was a very good refresher for me to tackle this repair again. I got a quote to get it repaired by a professional but $2,500 makes me want to DIY it again. Thanks for the video, it was helpful and there is a lot of overlap with your machine and the 955. It has the alligator track connection also. Thanks for a great video on track tensioner repair. There are not a lot of people that have knowledge or experience with these types of repairs, which makes your video all the more valuable for a machine owner
Man, what a great video! My interest was the tension/track adjuster. I have a 2006 D5G and don't know if it is the same but hopefully similar. I don't have a manual for it, so I have to continue researching to find one. Again, very informative video, easy watching and very understanding. Some videos, the speaker is hard to understand for one reason or another. Yours was none of those. Thank you.
I’m glad you liked it and hope yours is the same I’m not sure if it is this is my first cat dozer I had a jd350 but never had a issue with the tensioner on it thanks for watching
I think you said you couldn't get the bolts loose in the idler yolk. But if you can break them you can split the yolk/fork whatever you want to call it, and you don't have to break the track. But thats not too bad with alligator style master link. I just did mine and it hasn't been packed in 30 or 40 years. So long I had to buy new cylinders because about all the chrome was eaten off. I cleaned it up good and sprayed everything with PB and let it sit a couple days and every bolt broke loose luckily by wrench, or either 2 wrenches hooked. I have a long and short anvil Ingersoll Rand 2850 1 inch impacts, and if the bolt doesn't ring off they will spin you or the dozer over...lol. But you can't get on but one or two of those bolts with anything but a wrench. Anyhow you have to drive the master pin out to separate my tracks so I avoid that at all costs. If its a D4 or a D7 or whatever, those master pins are no fun. Is that blade factory? I didn't know any of those had a 6 way... mine is an ancient old 78A serial from about 64'. Also have a D6C same year, straight drive with turbo. You can't hardly kill those ol' dozers, other than final drive problems.
Great video. I think my D3G is in need of same adjuster rebuild. Recommendation is for 2" of track sag. I prefer a little less like 1.25" to 1.5". Thanks for the video. Stay safe.
I love my Kfx450r! I modded the whole quad to the max. Full Walsh Racecraft chassis with Walsh lowered subframe and tank. Lowers the center of gravity on the bike and makes it stick to the ground awesome! Baldwin racing engine etc. I also build Trx250r’s. My Kfx is my favorite bike tho. It rides so nice
I’m glad you like all the videos I’m working on the 400ex video now while I wait on a few more parts for the kfx hopefully that video will be out next week I think you will enjoy that one and I used to have a few Trx 250r I ran a few WNYOA races back in the day thanks for watching
Jeeze, a good find. No music, no drama. Just pure fixin tractors. I subscribed.
Sometimes I add music sometimes not I didn’t feel like it this time and I’m glad you liked it that way and thanks for watching and subscribing
How do I know which bolts to take off for the track
