Heyo. It's not uncommon for me to be "gone" for two or three months between uploads, but usually when i come back it's with a huge 1-2 hour video... not a twenty minute one. The longer videos really do take that long to make, and i release them as soon as i'm able to. This one here, it was meant to be a really quick and easy vid. (i think we've been through this before...) It should have been 3 weeks, maybe four tops. I hit the ground running with this video, getting all my Playroom footage before the game came out, then recorded the new game footage right away, and had a script within the week. Recorded all the voiceover, even edited most of the audio and some of the video. And then... Well i just couldn't keep in it. Burn-out be like that sometimes. I couldn't focus on the project, or get more than a few minutes into editing before totally cashing out. I even contemplated scrapping the video altogether, i mean, the Astro-hype had already died down. Not even sure much of that would trickle down to my lowly channel anyway, but still. It's kinda discouraging when some of my favorite videos i've worked on can't even scrape together 1k views, but it is what it is. This is actually the second of two videos i've started after the Mario Sunshine vids. The other one was also meant to be a quick and short video, i even got it all recorded and the audio edited too. But that one was scrapped when Astro came out. I wasn't super into it, and the game footage placement would be kinda vague as it's not pertaining to one specific game. But idk, maybe i'll bodge it together as a lost video or something. Generations is next anyway. That should be fun. Oh yeah, i didn't even finish my story, not that it's all that interesting anyway. but yeah, i somehow veered the ship back on course after a few weeks and really got into the Astro project again. And i'm glad i did, This game really was a joy to play through. There's plenty of great games out there, but not many as special as this game was. That's really it i think. There's no moral to this story, i'm just rambling like i do. Oh yeah, i actually did go out and get that new computer i mentioned before. It's slick. No longer do i have to wait ninety seconds for Premiere to do a simple video playback. yay. Along with that i tried out a new recording program and changed up the mic set-up, which is why the voice over may sound different in this video. In fact, the VO in the scrapped video i mentioned was pretty rough but i cleaned it up as best i could. The astro vo was much better, but i still have quite a bit fine-tuning to do. Maybe one day i'll have professional quality audio, but that's for another day or something. idk. Cheers.

I think it was patched shortly after the Origins Plus update, but if you already had cleared saves you could still mess around with this until you restart the file
Sonic origins is a remaster, not a remake, that's why in super sonic isn't in sonic 1, also their not gonna patch the cheats cuz cheating is not allowed in any games
The mobile versions are most definitely remakes, as they were rebuilt in a new engine. Origins contains these versions with some additional changes added to them. They had all the power to add Super Sonic to Sonic 1 if they had wanted to, regardless of their status of a remake or remaster. Amy was added to all the games anyway, proving additional changes could be made. I'm not sure what you mean by patching cheats, but cheats have been in these games since the very first one. My complaint about cheats was how something like Tails with Sonic is locked to the cheat menu, when a Knuckles and Tails mode is available by default in Sonic 2, or how Super Sonic is locked to the cheat menu in Sonic 1 (even in anniversary mode) When a base Super Tails was added to Sonic 3 without cheats. It's the inconsistency that's the biggest problem here.
@BobbyBionic sonic origins sure is a remake of the games on a new engine, but you can't just make a remake of the game and add super sonic to the first game cuz that would completely rewrite the first part of entire story, also, the spin dash was in sonic 1 in the GBA port years before the mobile ports, and even on that they didn't even add super sonic, why? Cuz super sonic wasn't in sonic 1 in the original, Sega isn't gonna just rewrite the story cuz the fans want changes
Sonic Origins contains plenty of non-canon additions within Anniversary Mode. Tails should not be on South Island at that time, and he definitely shouldn't be going up against Robotnik, but he is here. Knuckles should not be on south Island, and he shouldn't even know Robotnik yet, as he is later tricked by him in Sonic 3. Amy also shouldn't be on South Island. Knuckles and Amy both should not be on West Side Island at that time, and again, shouldn't know Robotnik yet. Knuckles should have no idea who Tails is, but they are on the same team if you choose them both from the selection screen. Amy running through the levels of Little Planet doesn't make any sense because she is meant to be captured by Metal Sonic. Knuckles and Tails also should not be here at all. Tails originally wasn't supposed to be able to turn super by using the normal chaos emeralds, but here he can and later has a hyper form. Amy should not be on Angel Island at all. All of that has way more effect on the story than Sonic obtaining an extra chaos emerald one game earlier so he can turn super one game earlier. But none of this truly is a big deal if you don't read into it too much. None of the actual stories are being changed. the original games still remain unaffected. The changes within Origins can be looked at as fun little extras, borrowing mechanics introduced in other games. That's the whole point of Anniversary Mode anyway, adding new things to old games for the fun of it. It's a shame they botched Classic Mode and Story Mode cause that's where you would go if you want the purist experience of the sacred classic sonic stories to be unaffected by minute changes.
@BobbyBionic yeah, the other characters that weren't originally in the games are now playable, but that doesn't make their part of the games they weren't in canon to the story, classic mode still isn't the old versions as in sonic 1 the spike bug still is disabled and the spin dash is still included, which means even the classic modes aren't fully classic, as the classic mode is just anniversary mode in 4:3 without the drop dash and non originally in game characters, classic mode is using the retro engine, in sonic 2 in classic mode the spacial stages are still the mobile version spacial stages in 4:3, also even CD is still the same in classic as in anniversary but without drop dash and with in 4:3, but classic and anniversary modes for CD both use the same settings even though their deferent, change setting in anniversary it gets also changed in classic
So why would character inclusions be any different than the Super form inclusion when it comes to story? It's all non-canon additions. If Tails in Sonic 1 can be viewed as a fun non-canon addition, then the same would apply to a Super Sonic addition. And yeah, all of that is what i meant when i said they botched Classic Mode. 52:50 This is covered in the video anyway. The thing is, no matter what they change within Origins, the original games (On Genesis/Mega Drive) are still, and will forever be unchanged. Any story details included. So why not just go all out and make Origins the most fun it could be regardless of story? That's how i look at it anyway.

there’s a couple things i wish origins did, 1: classic mode are original roms instead of remakes with bars(maybe the pc port rom of s3k for legal), 2: a better menu, I just struggle navigating these menus, like why are there only saves per character and why is so many things hidden in missions menu, 3: a “custom mode” in which you can just have saves with specific things like lives enabled or disabled, drop spin dash enabled or disabled, sonic 1 spikes toggle, tails fly toggle, aspect ratio settings, etc., 4: plus should have been a free major update, it really just should be, 5: they should have implemented menu elements from mania. I have definitely rambled too long with this comment but it feels as though this game was rushed
i think the advance collection should be a switch exclusive becuase the original advanced games were a GBA exclusive
One thing that I can see that some of you didn’t noticed the differences with Super and Hyper Sonic is Hyper Sonic can use dash attack to any direction by pointing a direction and pressing the jump button while super Sonic does not *EDIT* I’ve also noticed that all character’s hyper form can breathe underwater while super forms does not, in the newer update Amy does have an afterimage but I guess thats just an illusion and she’s on same boat as Knuckles as they only gain the ability to breathe underwater, I guess thats fair for Knuckles that he gets to be the slowest with low jump since he can already glide and climbs walls in order to balance the game, so he doesn’t need any more abilities other than waterbreathing underwater anyway

That's fine, we all have our opinions. The original Carnival Night always was, and still is one of my favorites. Like i say in the video, the new themes aren't really that bad like everyone on the internet acts like they are. and i do think Launch Base's replacement is genuinely better than it's original.

i would love to play this, since donwloading emulators and the games themselves always take looonggg but ill have to stick to that, since a US dollar is over 5x the brazillian dollar amount making the game 157 brazillian dollars, and over 200 if you count the 50 brazillian dollar plus pack im very sad but for now ill just use emulators

the reason its like this is because sonic origins just combined all the games into 1 like the old sonic collection game but just tryed to make a nice looking menu and design for stuff, but cause it was not finished at this time you could access assets that were just imported into the game and the broken ones dont work as their code was probably taken out the object to be used for an other object, which is also why you can even reach any of these bugged levels, as they are directly from the original game
I downloaded it for 6 reasons: 1. It was my birthday and I had birthday money 2. Dropdash in the old games 3. Amy as a playable character 4. Being able to play the game gear games for the first time 5. Sonic 3 and Knuckles 6. Sonic 3 and Knuckles (again)

I always find the "Running Would be Faster" argument kinda silly for the racing games. Like, sure, yeah, it would be faster. But it is a kart race. If Sonic wants to compete he has to do it on the competition's own terms. Same for Sonic Riders and Sonic Free Riders(Zero Gravity is frankly just Sonic showing off I guess)

9:43 so, theoretically, you could get infinite bonus stages if your either REALLY lucky, you decide and figure out how to hack the chances to always be bonus stages. or you could always get 50 rings in each bonus stage.
This vid's been out awhile, but can I make a suggestion about the random Sign in the 8 bit Sonic games, in video games, random results are achieved by having a background predetermined stat of nonsensical numbers and whenever RNG is called, it will just choose the next available number. With using Save states, you weren't changing the RNG stat at all, so the game had no reason to change the result. I believe even minor actions like hopping around can change this number in some games. Presumably, the random factor in Sonic Blast has some extra event within the code that made it more random. Such as changing the stat every tic, so reloading had more of an effect then the other games.
This has been brought up in other comments, and is addressed in the pinned comment. Seeds and RNG were taken into consideration when testing this, it just wouldn't be interesting to watch all the changed variables that lead to the exact same result each time. I followed up this assessment with explaining what actually does change the sign, so i figured that was sufficient enough to show that it isn't random after all.
I kind of like that Super Sonic is only in Sonic 2 and 3 so it feels more like the old one, but I feel like there should be at least an option to have that implemented. Like, a mode called "Modern Orgins" or something.
There are 3 different modes in Origins, the problem is none of them really serve their purpose fully. Anniversary Mode does add plenty that wasn't in the original releases, but holds back on some things that conflict with the lore while ignoring others. Classic Mode could have featured the original roms, but they instead tried to recreate the old games poorly. Then there's Story mode, which could be a good compromise between the two, offering only the new features that don't conflict with the lore. Instead it's just a way to play all the games without returning to the collection screen.

Why Those Sonic Signs Looks Boring?
This game is awesome! I still play it and have poured hundreds of hours into it! I just love running around the open zones and completing those platforming challenges! While the platforms are scattered around with seemingly no cohesion, I think they're still well designed and add to that mystery of looking AI generated, which helps with the backstory of Sage, and I don't mind the platforms being suspended above the ground, as I still think the game looks great. There's just something about it, the aesthetic and the music, and especially the story, that makes me want to keep playing it. The enemy and boss designs are stellar. The titan fights are highlights, though gameplay wise, they are really easy. I agree about Cyberspace, and I don't mind them reusing old levels as long as they are fun. I wish the combat was a little better, and Sonic's parry timing should be changed across each difficulty. It's bizarre that they didn't do it for Sonic yet for other characters they did. With the latest patch, the physics are better, it's less buggy, but the difficulty has been eased, which was in response to the complaints from fans, but I wish they did that as a choice, rather than replacing the previous difficulty. But despite that, I think this is better than Shadow Generations. I think it has the soul of an open world Sonic game. Though I do wish they'd further update it a little more, as it would be perfect for me. Do you think they'll still update or patch this in the near future? I'd love it if they could fix the pop-in. I can't believe it's been a year since the best Sonic game got the best update! I find all playable characters fun to play, though not as much as Sonic, of course. They made the platforming challenges much harder and more open-ended, less linear than previous ones, which were too simple and automated. The new ending is a mixed bag for me. But the story is even better than before. What makes this game better than others is that I think it does playable characters the best. It also doesn't waste your playtime with non Sonic gimmicks as much as otherSonic games, especially Adventures 1 and 2, and Sonic feels great and fast to control. I disagree heavily when people say it's a Breath of the Wild ripoff as while it's clearly inspired, it also has a lot of differences, and I think I like it more. I even like that some challenges make use of momentum and make you think outside the box. The puzzles are mostly not challenging, but more like movement exercises, and i don't mind doing them. Overall, a masterpiece ✨️ Yeah, I don't mind the reusing of level layouts as the new movement makes it feel different. I similarly don't mind the koco quests, with most being optional, as long as they're not too annoying or pacebreaking. The worst part is probably the pinball minigame or the laser puzzle or the crane task. Cyberspace looks exactly like Generations, but I do like how they at least added the digital effect to make it feel new. Also, I like the presentation. I think the animations are quite good in general, better than in previous games, and I don't mind the realistic artstyle. While it's a triple A game, I do wish there were some CGI cutscenes, but that's probably because of the day-night system, so everything runs in real-time. As I said before, I really liked Frontiers, and it was almost perfect. In my opinion, it can only get better, not worse. Forces, while I think it's very overhated, and I kinda like it, I also find it kinda hard to defend, and I feel it was the dip in budget and quality and passion, it terms of both gameplay, design, story, and presentation, even though I don't think it's souless or lazy like many say. Frontiers, to me, felt like a high budget game, even though some corners were clearly cut. Not to be a blatant hater, but I don't think we'll ever return to that dip of content in the 2010s, as while I think saying it was the definition of mediocrity is a bit harsh, I don't think you could get worse than that. The next mainline game might not always be better than the last, but at least it won't ever be of that quality, let alone worse. Frontiers might have been great, but it can only get better, and that's hard to imagine!

Will you be making a video on “Every Change in Sonic Gens remaster” could be a direct comparison with both games 2011 vs 2024 side by side, with maybe Tool assisted inputs so both games would be doing the same exact run.
I am working on a video of Generations, and the changes are mentioned. But it won't be that precise of a comparison. Much of the focus will be on the Shadow portion of the game
i just got back to the sonic fandom and went to watch this video for the first time, and seeing- or better, hearing, the fact that the sonic 3 soundtrack has been changed really bummed me out.. carnival night and ice cap’s ost’s were my favorites!! (i never even reached ice cap because i always got stuck on that part you were supposed to look up and down to move the barrel :P)

5:40, funnily enough, realism would probably have you match the bird's speed, not be pushed back. When a skateboarder flips his board, the momentum carries him with it even while he's airborne, and the same should happen here. SM64 had the same problem, there it mostly shows up with rainbow ride.
