How To Enable Split Screen On Mac | 2 Screens On Single Display
Using split screen means that you place two windows side by side. This is a good way to be more efficient when working with one screen. Instead of switching between different tabs and windows, you can simply work with two different windows that are snapped side by side.
Efficiency is paramount in the world of web design, and having the ability to seamlessly access multiple resources can make a world of difference. While the luxury of two monitors is often coveted, it's not always feasible. So, how can you replicate this setup on a single screen? In this tutorial, I'll guide you through the process of creating a split-screen setup, revolutionizing your workflow and maximizing efficiency.
1. Separate Windows: Begin by dragging the tab you're currently working on to create a separate window.
2. Tile Windows: Once you have two separate windows, hover over the green "open in full-screen" icon and select the option to tile the window either to the left or right side of your screen.
3. Optimize Efficiency: With your primary design window occupying one half of the screen and your secondary window occupying the other half, you can seamlessly switch between tasks without losing sight of your content.
4. Customize Window Size: If you require more space for your design window, simply adjust the size by dragging the middle bar to the left or right.
5. Exiting Split Mode: To return to normal mode, click on the green icon at the top of the screen to exit full-screen mode.
Any questions? Let me know in the comments!

I am really struggling with this. I tried this but for some reason my Home page is structured like the blog posts page. His homepage was right in the center. For me, it looks like a blog post and when I click on it, it doesn't do anything. Help!
Hi Victor, thanks for that it helped with hovering but when I pressed on the photo the title appears below? do you know how to fix that?
Hi teacher. I don't know how to make a header with logo and main menu in one column left, 3 icons in one column right. Can you show me how to do that header, please ?
Me encanta! Gracias por el video 😀
Ah, lifesaver! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome! :-)
Thanks. Like the comment below mine, I spent hours trying to edit this with no progress. Thanks again.
@@MarkKeele-n3r You’re very welcome! I’m baffled that WordPress hasn’t made this process more clear and intuitive after all these years. 🤫
So cool! Thanks a ton, DiviMundo. Do you know if there are some plugin that allow some sound playing on entrance? I'm thinking of adding the guards from might and magic to say "Halt! Who goes there?!" Lol.
Thanks, I thought I'd have to write a ton of code to hide all those! That was easy.
You're very welcome! It can be done with code too, but this is more smooth.
@@Victor-Duse yea code would have worked but would need regular updates likely, its much nicer to have it built in with granular user type control, im glad they added that feature.
Thank you! Really helpful :)

I honestly cannot fully explain how much I appreciate you. You have taught me so much. Your videos and explanations - the way you go about things - is sooooooooo damn good. I love this channel and thank you so much.
Wow, thanks I'm really glad to hear that. I'm planning a comeback real soon now that my parental leave is over. Big changes are coming up. 🙂
Thank you, I'm using 2024 Theme and couldn't figure out how to customize my favicon. This was very helpful!
I'm glad you liked it! WordPress did actually add a new and easier way to add the favicon (also in Block Themes) just after this video was recorded. You can see how in this short video: th-cam.com/users/shortsWrFD4e1zrtk
This is so frustrating, before you could just drag one screen over the other and it would automatically split view. I don know why I can do it like this anymore
Agreed, I'm not happy with the latest update either. 😕
Can i know the theme name that a website is using?
You can view the page source and search for "theme". That will often give you a clue. Or you can use an online theme detector like whatwpthemeisthat.com/
Thank you very much for this, it was very helpful!

THANK YOU! only person that helped me get the password protected page to be the first page you see when you open the site. I was trying to change the visibility on the front page but the front page does not have ability to change visibility, atleast for my theme.
Awesome, I'm glad it helped! 🙂
Hi Victor - for some reason i do all of as you say but when i view it on my mobile it displays the images full width of the phone, one above the other..... should this code and system still work now with the updated Divi?
Hi! It should still work. It could ber browser or network cache in your phone. Try incognito mode or use another browser. If you get the same results. please share the URL and I'll have a look.
@@Victor-Duse Ok i'll try again! Thanks!
Thank you for your explanations on this tutorial. I have a problem with the mobile version concerning the section with “linkedIn and the button”. They are positioned one below the other and not on the same line as you show at the beginning of the video. Am I missing something? Thank you
You need to add display:flex; in the top row CSS to display the content in one single row on mobile. I cover this in the next chapter of the course: th-cam.com/video/_LKpZ45k8-I/w-d-xo.html You can find all the course chapters in this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLjECge4F19csB2CqH5hzUO2bkn7nHvjjH.html

Thank you very very much!!! I've been very frustrated for the past few days, because i couldnt find my homepage in the pages option. This was so helpful. (why wordpress makes it so difficult to create and edit one's homepage is beyond me. ) Keep up the good work. (btw im subscribing now.... and i plan to use elementor without a theme, thus if you ever talk about elementor that would be helpful to me.) Best wishes
I'm glad you liked it! I'm not an Elementor expert but I think that you will need some kind of theme, since Elementor is only a page builder plugin. There are other themes with integrated page builders, for example Divi and Bricks.
Hi I tried Method 3 (added the dm-autoplay-click class to the module after added the code to integration) what doesn't work. The mp4 video autoplays in its video module in both Safari and chrome but muted. In Safari absolutely nothing happens when I click on the looping video - just remain silent; and chrome as soon as I click on the silent looping video I get a sound for a fraction of a second which then goes away. And maybe for a couple of seconds there is a loudspeaker icon on the tab of the current page but that goes away as well. Before I added your code and the class no sound would come out of course, so I guess "something" is happening but obviously it's not working. Any ideas? Obviously the only thing I really want to do is have the %*&%^ video autoplaying on loop, and a simple single volume on/off button to be there. But I can't find information about doing this anywhere so I am trying to use any method I can to get some sound out somehow....
Great! You solved my problem in such an easy way. 👍 Thanx a lot!!! 🤩

Hi! Amazing video!!! I'm saving this url for future use!! However, in my specific case right now I want the video to loop, BUT I don't want playback controls, and definitely no download button. All I want to add is a clickable sound-on button, and maybe a full-screen button. That's it. And I want these 2 buttons to always be visible (not only on hover) so as to immediately prompt the viewer to use them (by him always seeing that these options are available). Is this possible? Can you tell me how to do this please? :) :)
Thanks! You could play around with version number two (no buttons) and combine it with a bit of modified code from this tutorial: www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/how-to-create-custom-html5-video-controls-for-a-video-in-divi
@@Victor-Duse thank you but.... "a bit of modified code from this tutorial" lol :P :P I don't know how to do anything like that lol. All I want is my video autoplaying in a loop in the regular video module, and a mute/unmute/volume control button. Is there a code you can send me that will do this, OTW do you have a link that tells me how to do exactly this and nothing else?
Hi, i love this. Thank you very much. Is there a way to create same hight coloums with this solution? somehow it does not work with the tablet (and probably the mobile) view.
Hi Elea! You could try to add align-items:stretch; to the row.
@@Victor-Duse Thank you, i'll try that.
Is there a way to prevent WP from creating a blog post for every uploaded photo? Or is there a way to turn off public comments? I am getting spammers commenting on the blog page created by a photo
Hi! Media library posts is a core feature in WordPress. But there are two things you can do to stop comments and people accidentally landing on the media posts: 1. Use this plugin to disable comments for Media files only: www.greengeeks.com/tutorials/disable-comments-for-media-attachments-in-wordpress/ 2. Use a SEO plugin like Rankmath, Yoast or All in one SEO to redirect all media posts to the actual media file.
Hello, I have added Supreme Maps Pro and am using Leaflet. I cannot figure out how to load my coordinates dynamically in Supreme Maps Pro. They populate with no problem using just leaflet. The leaflet Supreme Maps Pro module does not seem to have an option to add my listings dynamically. Am I missing something? I am avoiding Google at all costs. So I hope it's not a limitation of the leaflet/Supreme Maps Pro combo. Thank you for any insight here. There is very little help available on the web for this question.
Hi Thomas! I think this question would be best answered by the Divi Supreme support. They are usually quick and friendly. Submit a support ticket at divisupreme.com/contact/ or post the question in their Facebook group at: facebook.com/groups/divisupreme

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
I'm glad you liked it! Do you see a difference if you add: align-items: stretch; to .three-col-tab?

Hi, and thanks for this tip. I have a problem, the icon is displayed on some pages and not on others. The link nevertheless works on the pages where the icon is not displayed. I'm a bit stuck there..

Wonder how to make that work on Mobile?
It works fine on mobile but if you enable energy saving mode, most OS:es will block all video autoplay to save battery energy.

This has been a wonderful tutorial. I have an issue, however. The Section immediately beneath my Header lags behind the Sticky effect, i.e. I am left with a large white space between the Header and the Section below in the very moment a scroll motion is triggered with the mouse. The moment the mouse scroll engages, the Header sticks to the top per your tutorial, so everything works in that sense. Padding and Spacing for the Section below the Header are all set to 0. Spent ages on this, can't find a fix! Anyone have any direction I could follow?
Hi! This happens if the sticky header is smaller than the initial header. One quickfix is to add a background color to the entire header by adding this snippet: .et-l.et-l--header { background-color:#1c1c1c; } Change 1c1c1c to the same color as you use in your sticky header. This will remove the white "blinking" effect, even though the small spacing still will be there when scrolling. But it's better. Let me know how it goes!
So useful. Thank you.
