This channel is all about the outdoors, mainly in the north of Norway where we are living. Hiking, camping and fishing all year long and some reviews of the gear we are using. Nortent Vern 1 PC windy overnight camping
Finally some bare ground to pitch the tent after a long winter on the ice. Time to do a second sleepover in my solo tent. Hit by some heavy wind while I try to do a tarp setup. Tested out an old Primus Optimus 111 for heating. Ice fishing with catch.

We spend 6 days in a Otter popup tent during the easter far in the montains on Sørøya in North of Norway. Minus 12 degrease celsius and windy, but sunny and nice. Ice fishing catching trout. Solo ice fish camping overnight in hot tent. The winter in north of norway is slow, not much snow at the time, but still nice to go for a quick over night camp and try out some new gear. In my professional opinion, the Vern 1 PC tent is an exceptional product that surpasses its competitors. I made the decision to sell my Hilleberg Staika tent in favor of the Vern 1 PC due to its superior performance in cold weather conditions, particularly with regard to condensation management. Additionally, its remarkable silence and sturdiness during extreme winds further enhance its appeal as a reliable shelter.
The only reason I will chose a nylon tent before polycotton is the weight. I love this fabric so much!
How much weight can those beds take?
Im not sure. Couldnt find any info. But the name is Fox EOS 1 if you want to look for your self.. It takes my 100 kg with no problem!

Where is this? Norway? Continental Norway isn’t particularly far north but Svalbard is as the 4th most northerly land mass on earth.

Yeah, Im gonna take good care of this one. Have some good and bad memories involving this primus from my childhood :) we are actually sitting on a beach right now and boiling rice for dinner.. watched most of your videos, great inspirations for me!

Thanks. I sleep 9 hour strait without waking up once during the night. So silent tent, no sound at all. Im planning to get the Vern 2 or 3 next, gonna be interesting to compair the different fabrics.. :)
What would you like to be updated?
@@LostInIce4 mostly 3 things, floor 10000 HH and possibility to be double poled like the silnylon version and some vents at the top of the tent, to be less affected by snow coverage

Fikk det i januar etter ett par mnd venting..
Gamle primusen ja, kommer aldri til å glemme militær kollegaen min som klarte å brenne ned knappeteltet med den der oppi Indre Troms, mens jeg pussa AG3 i masse deler, det ble kjip kveld.
Kan tenke meg det ja.. fantastisk brenner men litt tung. Men foretrekker den fremfor gassbrennere..
@@70northandnature ser den i vinterføre der du er. Men gass er fint for oss som liker å gå lang distanse turer om sommeren:)
Blir nok å bruke gass jeg også når vekt blir ett tema :)

I have to say you’ve got winter camping where I like it, the thing that always turns me off from the snow camping is all the snow inside the tent, you sir prove that you don’t have to have as much snow inside than out, I love the way you have everything organized. Thanks for a positive winter camp.
Thanks. I been sleeping on reindeerskin directly on the snow all years before and its so good to have other options now. As long as I bring my stuff with snowmobile I dont care so much about how much I bring with me. Just nice to have it warm and comfy while I can..

Are you glad you purchased the Polycotton Gamme over the silnylon? How is the condensation is it minimal?
As long as I dont need to carry the tent I go for polycotton. Its so quiet and I havent had a single drop of condensation so far. Im very happy with it!

No wonder you tow a trailer behind your sled , you must have brought a lot of firewood with you, and so much other gear, you sure don't travel light.
Yeah, it takes 1-2 sack of wood pr day and since its hard to find wood where we are living we have to bring it. The trailer we always bring so why not bring all the gear we like? :) In summer its more basic, have to carry it all on my back ;)
