    Good form with respect to the philosophy of technique. It's important to learn forms for discipline... But in a real suddenly surprised sidewalk pushing situation against your person (and believe me when I say I got pushed many times when I least expected it coming and so it arrives as a surprise) chances are you are going to miss the opportunity to counter - unless you are on guard every moment of the day. So, if it was missed it's best to step in and quickly execute a backhand strike across the side of the temple or to the eye. He is done. Also, to avoid further conflict a soild fullhouse smack to the face with a Karate yell will overwhelm your opponent. This will usually seal the deal. It will greatly intimidate him. He will be stunned and you can walk away. Or just push back with more force. I've done it. The opponent was stunned and he walked away. If there are two opponents (and I had them) that takes quick action to subdue the other. But again, fast action on the first with an over powering smack and yell could very well get the second schmuck to back off. Any man being fiercely smacked in the face by another man is so demoralizing that it heavily out weighs being punched in the face - and you most likely won't have to worry about legal consequences later on. I studied under 9th degree Master Thomas Kelly who was Ed Parker's right-hand man for years. You were taught how to get out of a situation with quick action than escape. I subscribed and gave you a thumbs up.

    • @nackordkarate
      @nackordkarate หลายเดือนก่อน

      First two knuckles, aligned with the wrist, standard hand position for boxing, etc, just have to keep the width in the wrist because there's no added support. I think I went over that part before we put gloves on where I show how to stack the bones. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Take Care - JVC

      Bando doesn't get a lot of attention so most people have never heard of it. Bando is a system of martial arts originating in Burma. It has systems of kickboxing, weapons, traditional MA techniques, and systems of yoga, to name a few. Its like studying more than one style at a time. Thanks for the comment.

    • @nackordkarate
      @nackordkarate หลายเดือนก่อน

      absolutely. that's the point of that drill. A for real single leg or anything like that its a lot harder to defend, especially at that range. This is just a guy grabbing at your leg. Single or double leg defenses we stick to the BJJ/wrestling classics. Thanks for the comment.

    I must be doing things a lot like you-- because I was a bodyguard/anti- terrorist specialst with the govt.- and my kenpo (I'm a 5th dan) has ALWAYS been very effective- even though I was constantly seeing folks tell me it isn't. (but I have a 4th Hapkido, 4th tenshin aikido, black sash in wing chun, and teach jeet kune do too)... ALL my arts are VERY effective.. which just goes to prove YOUR STATEMENT- it's HOW you do it!!! I use to say- It's NOT the art- it's the ARTIST!!-- and you and I have proven that. (over 1000 encounters on record during my duty and only 2 losses).
