Please also clarify the statement regarding one of the first 3 co authors to be considered for higher marks. The portfolio does not mention that the 2nd or 3rd coauthor position would get higher marks as compared to the rest of the positions I.e. 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and so on. As I've done and am involved in multiple research projects, to be a co-author means to be an author at any position except the first.
Hello. As far as I have understood, you have said that paid publications will not be considered, what does that exactly mean? Isn't publishing in an open access pubmed indexed journal, which requires authors to pay the article processing fee to make the article completely accessible for readers, not counted as a publication as per the portfolio criteria? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Sir, I have a question There are many live examples of GMC registered doctors who are trying their hard to get first ever job in UK but still they are waiting for their first job for than 1 and half year. And no matter how much your CV is decorated, they ask about the experience of working in NHS. So this is the ultimate paradox where if don't have any experience of one thing, you aren't able to do the same thing for the first time.

Hello sir, I'm an FMG( Foreign Medical Graduate) currently doing my internship from India. Sir i wanted to continue my further training in UK. I have some questions regarding MRCS, 1) is appearing directly for MRCS, a good idea, as i don't have any surgical training or experience. And if i did clear, will i be getting into certain medical training so that i can gain experience 2) Many of my seniors often say that its better to have a PG degree then only apply for MRCS...and if this is the case, will it be a good idea if i do my masters in surgery from Armenia rather than India? ( as i did my graduation from there) 3) how much does it usually take get job or into training after clearing both MRCS part A and B? I know some of my queries might sound lame but i really need all the info before i get into the process and i really want to continue my further training in UK.
