Solo playthrough at level 1 difficulty of 3 levels of Cardboard Alchemy’s board game, Andromeda’s Edge. Although my late night play led to a few rules overhead misses (mostly to my detriment), I think it’s a good showing of how the solo game plays and how Unity works! ***See corrections/clarifications below***
Andromeda’s Edge is a worker placement, tableau building, area control game. Will you focus on battle supremacy, wealth, science innovation, or building a fleet that exercises your faction strengths? The possibilities are many and you have to be ready to pivot if things are just not going your way!
CORRECTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS:
(1) 1:09:42 -- Late night me was out of my mind. I totally won this battle with my 6! LOL So, instead of receiving a tactics card, the shield of the Raider, the Korrigan Smugglers, should have been damaged, and I should also have moved up the commerce track.
(2) 1:15:15 I should only have gotten one credit for the first slotted moon once I activated the modules on both sides of it.
(3) 1:16:07 In order to get the 2 ice from the 2nd slotted moon, I would have needed to activate the module to the right of it with a ship or energy.
(4) 1:16:24, 1:42:04, & 1:46:47 I forgot about the Korrigan Smuggler 1-resource discount on all 3 of my developments! 😳 So, I spent too much for all of them.
(5) 1:17:07 I should have scored 4 for the commerce development instead of 2 -- I missed the 2 leaders in The Shipyard!
(6) 1:56:42 I note that Unity would have had 10 points less if I had applied the Ion Storm damage that prevented the Civilization development, but it then also would have gotten 2 points more for that ship being in the Scrapyard.
