We ran into one of the OWL people out there 30 years ago…never went back😂
This sounds interesting… owl people???
@@OverlandTrailGuides There were stories of these Owl people who lived out there for years. I was there with my boyfriend and this guy came out of nowhere…he looked homeless and said he was part of them. He asked if we wanted to come back with him. We politely declined and LEFT. Super weird😂
Thank you for the video. There is lots of great content. I've got a small shop in eastern Washington and getting into the overland business. Starting out as a repair shop. Been a dealer tech for over 20 years. Thanks great interview
Great video. Homebound so thank you
How can I get your route you took? And would I be able to take a 32ft toy holler on that route.
All info can be found in the description. FYI, only street legal vehicles are permitted in this route. You’ll have trouble with the toy hauler going thru Hoopa Tribal Lands.
“Overland” is a little bit of a stretch. Lol… those roads are pretty calm. Still very cool video and views🖤👍🏼
So over landing vehicles can’t go to places like this? They’re supposed to stick to rock crawling trails? 😂🤣
It was an amazing trip
Great trip.... Keep up the good work. Jeff
Looked like hail..... What an amazing video . I will be making my way to this trail soon!
What I really don't like about Sedona is that you get someplace nice and the Pink Jeep hordes show up or you think you have privacy and a ballon with a bunch of people land in your camp. It looks like you had some escape from them.
It’s not hard to escape the Pink Jeeps if you know where to go, but a 4x4 is probably the way to go ;)
Seeing the expedition trailer again is nice!!!
Seeing the Off grid trailer Expedition is awesome! Doing more videos where our type of trailer like the expedition helps us tremendously. Good job. More trails and with Off road trailer ratings would be good too.
Beautiful place. Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Like 👍29
Take me 🥹🥹
awesome video! best video I've seen on the process. :)
omg, total beautiful . farewell- 😯
Nice drone footage. Thanks for sharing the locations.
Thanks for uploading this trip looks amazing!
Ahhh Black Rock Playa. Old timers say it’s so flat on a clear day you can see the back of your head!😁
Beautiful forests just like BC Canada Rainforests are special as contains more biodiversity as we have not studied the Old Growth Canopy ecosystem.
@2:38 it looks like a deer running towards you guys from the left.
Monterey County Rangers have made permit and gate code a pain in the a$$ for Cross Creek BLM. Twice I’ve arrived and gate code didn’t work. Great area when you can get in.
I did the Roller Coaster last Sunday and stopped at Bear Den hostel that night with about 10 other hikers that night. It killed my toes I must have stumped the toe next to my little toe on each foot 50 times easily. The hardest day hiking for me. I was toast when I got to Bears Den at 5:00 pm. I bet everyone who does that rock covered section has a similar opinion! Any way you finished it a should feel great accomplishment. Enjoy your time D.C. Thanks for your videos I enjoy your channel 😀
Does it rain all year long?
No, we visited in the middle of wet season that runs from Nov-April.
rarely ever rains in the summer, but generally rains a ridiculous about mid fall- mid spring
Any concerns about bears in these areas?
5:40 its called Snow Plant.
Fun fact: the Schnebly Hill Vista is the exact filming location in the original movie "Vacation" where Clark Griswold slams on the brakes and the luggage flies off the top of the roof in the family wagon after they discover Aunt Edna is dead in the backseat.
Really tried hard on the opening dialogue 😂
Epic Trip and Video, loved some of the Drone Shots
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍144
Poor Shasta, she just wanted to ride shotgun and gets blamed for the stump /s 😂 I live up in Flag, there’s a few hikes past East Pocket/EotW that give you views all the way down Oak Creek Canyon. You’ll see the 89a all the way to Slide Rock.
Absolutely incredible video. Thank you so much for sharing. Great work.
I live in Ashland, Oregon, and I spend a lot of time up at the confluence of the Siskiyou and Klamath ranges, which is where Mount Ashland and the PCT the Siskiyou crest Road all coexist. Heading west are many areas with serpentine soil, and endemic plants. Honestly, the Illinois river area near Grants Pass is one of the more sketchy places to drive and stay in my experience. hey your fly's down 40:00
That was a great watch. Thanks from Tucson, AZ.
Love your videos and truly enjoy my membership with you. So worth it. Thanks again for a great video.
Epic trip bro! Awesome footage!
You are the best TH-camr welling to share the trails information, most of them won’t tell you even people ask them.
The site came well before our first TH-cam video ;)
❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thank you for this. I am putting this at the No 1 spot on our list of trails to try.
This is my backyard. I rode to the top of Goat Mountain yesterday. Almost hit a bear, closest I've ever been on one.
I visited the Smith River area many years ago, camped at Grassy Flats , enjoyed great fishing.I did a solo kayaking trip down past Jededhiah Redwood national park, which i also visited .I did a good hike to the Devil's punch lake ,saw the most unique large Salamander s with their gills on outside, in the lake's outflow creek .l visited another unique sanctuary for the carnivores Pitcher plants , growing in a Bog nearby .It was one of my best Summer vacations. Thanks for bringing up those wonderful memories.Your informative and Scenic video has definitely motivated me to visit that area .
27:23 cut reliefs in the tree then winch it apart
Is this guy running a drone inside of the Np?
Nope. All drone footage is from Lassen National FOREST, where UAVs are permitted.
rams are prone to bed and frame failure from those camper designs I've seen it over and over.
Except its basically ruined for years and years due to the damn removal don't get your hopes up.
iDK, that fire three years ago turned that area into a moonscape. Not very pretty to me.
Colorado has been overtaken your lucky to find good, dispersed camping here I remember as a kid a short drive up the Pouder canyon spots everywhere now you have to go well above Walden
My home turf. There's some great 4x4ing and swimming to be had up Hunter Creek (just south of Gold Beach)... and from up there you can hook into Pistol River, the Chetco or the Rogue. Way cool. One of our favorite swim spots is where the Illinois dumps into the Rogue. Big Rock is there and perfect for jumping or diving into the Illinois. Thanks for taking us on your adventure
Pretty sure I’ve been up there over the years, but your video made me want to get up there again. Thanks
Imo Fern Canyon is a must see if you are in the redwood np.
Not always foggy. We have a lot of sunny days too 😂 ...enjoyed your video. Mckinleyville Northern California Humboldt county resident. God's amazing creations all around 🙌 to enjoy. The Ocean has been beautiful this week. Bluebird skies. 🙌💙🌲🙌
