Hi Chris just come across your layout and subed looking forward to seeing more, l have a N gauge layout but l have moved on to 00 gauge due to my eye sight, so l like looking at both gauges. N gauge is so harder to model 😊. Hope you have a good 2025 all the best Colin from Mossend railway oo.

Good Afternoon Chris - firstly many thanks for the copious thanks thrown my way re suggesting the town scene - very much appreciated 😊. The way you have modelled the scenery is pretty much the way I'd have done it myself. I breathed a sigh of relief when you said the town scene can be removed if access needed to the track. True the simple arrangement shouldn't cause any issues - but you just never know........ Great seeing all those 47's running at the end. Cheers Euan

That is an excellent piece of work Chris. Cutting out the base was a masterstroke which helps make the whole structure seem much lighter. The running shots really showed it off well. I agree that it helps to have a real life example for inspiration when you are scratch building. The architect has already done the hard work and you can just adapt as you need! Stephen

Hi Chris - I do like the piers for the river bridge - nice bit of work. The rusting effect on the wagons looks fine - better than anything I could do. You certainly get through a power of work which is a credit to your good self 😊. Cheers Euan

You've plainly been busy Chris. I like the area around the viaduct with the river. The addition of line off to the old town scene area was inspired and really gives a big space to do something whether it is an industrial scene or a TMD Looking forward to seeing how this all develops. Stephen

Good idea to put the raised section to back and bring the hidden lines to the front - far more potential in this design. As for the other part I was going to suggest the return loop is hidden under a raised town scene - only blocker is the terminus station - you'd have to lose it or move it. Cheers Euan

loving the layout, ideas are great. As you do a lot of talking and explaining, I'd invest in a new camera, you can get a nice 60fps video camera on Amz for less than a £100. Once my new layout is built, I shall be doing the same, as i want to get better footage.

The removal of the old bridges and raised section has really opened up the layout Chris. It's almost as if you have suddenly built an extension on the top end. The viaduct looks the part in the river and that area will look good as the trains cross it. Stephen

Wow! great progress. Interested in your choice of gauge. I looked at N when I returned to the hobby after a 50 year tea brake, but in the end stuck with 00 where I left off. Did you consider other gauges?

Nice update Chris. The extension is really looking great. Shame about Gary going to OO. Not for me personally as I want long trains and I would quickly become bored I think. Wasn't going to TINGS but I might do. As for channels, I'm a total amateur and novice. I don't think anyone wants to see my fat face so I hide away. 😂. I watch a variety of channels but less of those that just talk and never seem to actually work on the layouts. Some rather famous ones out there that don't really move on much. Each to their own though 👍

Hi Chris! Great work with the scenics! The trees really transformed the whole scene! In terms of making videos, try not fall into the trap of chasing views! You will never be happy, and will always want more! Make stuff that you'd be happy to watch yourself - or more importantly, you enjoy making! i hate the sound of my voice so I never do comms on my short videos. I enjoy your walk throughs of the layout and the content is always worth watching. I hate review videos of locos, too many of them which I skip. Modelling and running sessions, my favourites

I say keep up the good work with TH-cam and do what you are comfortable with, I personally find that people like videos (Taking feedback and comments on board) that see you 'doing' the modelling and not just talking about it but each to their own as some videos obviously do very well just talking about model railways. The landscaping has come out really well Chris. I do like the bridge that cuts across the tracks and the road. So far as your videos are concerned, I think the key thing is that you make videos that you enjoy making, because that will come across. Personally I am not a fan of talking head videos and I don't follow any of the TH-camrs that put out that kind of material. I want to see modelling that is giving pleasure to modeller as they build.
