That is an excellent piece of work Chris. Cutting out the base was a masterstroke which helps make the whole structure seem much lighter. The running shots really showed it off well. I agree that it helps to have a real life example for inspiration when you are scratch building. The architect has already done the hard work and you can just adapt as you need! Stephen
Cheers Stephen, I am quite proud of this piece of work, I must admit! Compared to my original attempt at a river and bridge it's miles better. As I said in my reply to Paul below, it's been a proper learning experience which keeps on developing..... Chris
Good morning Chris! It's great to take inspiration from the real world, especially when modelling architectural elements! I think you've done a really good job of capturing the spirit of the original, and the running shots really show this! All the best, Ian.
Hi Ian, thanks very much. I've been interested in the railway architecture of Scotland and the north of England for a long time, fascinated by the amazing feats of engineering which are still with us today.
Excellent work, Chris 🤩 Particularly like the details around the bridge piers 😍 they look fantastic along with your river 👍 They new section really does give you superb views for running sessions 👀 Very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Thanks Paul, every day's a school day - I've learned so much in the past year, helped in no small measure by my fellow TH-camrs and the inspiration and help they provide..... Chris
An excellent bit of construction work there Chris. Certainly will be a focal point on the layout and gives fantastic run ing shots. Well done ! Cheers Euan
Hi Chris. Brilliant bits of modeling, give yourself a big pat on the back buddy. Viaduct behind looking great as well. Love seeing your trains running over the bridge. Thanks for sharing Chris. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
Many thanks for your kind words Pete, to be honest I've all but decided to sack TH-cam - I barely managed 250 followers in a year and 25 videos - other channels starting at a similar time and with similar (often poorer) content managed far, far more - I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. A bit of a kick in the nuts really, so frustrating.......
@Amberlea-Model-Railway Hi Chris, I think the next thing will be another update video from Dylan on his 009 layout. He's spending most of his time with us at the weekend working on it. As he's been invited to a 009 guage society exhibition at the end of October. It will be far from finished. As you can see from his last update, there's no scenery done yet. There's more stop-motion videos to come when he gets time to do them, as they take eight to ten hours to create, I know he's thinking about a Halloween video. But I'm sure there'll be something before that, we've got some new custard tankers that need some work doing to them before they make an appearance...cheers James 🙂👍
@@Amberlea-Model-Railway Hi new layout plans are progressing but other things have got in the way unfortunately but hopefully have a video out in the very near future! Cheers Gary
Excellent work Chris. Really looks great and adds to the scene 👍
Cheers Mark, really pleased with the way it's turned out😁

Hi Chris, excellent work on the bridge, it looks great and is a super focal point in the layout and for running shots of the trains! Cheers Gary
Hi Gary, thanks mate, anything to report on your new project?
