Hi Chris! I very much enjoyed the tour of the layout and hearing your plans for it! It'll be interesting to see how the plans progress, and whether or not you change them as you go! I'd try and keep the trains on view as much as possible - they cost to much to hide them behind the scenes for too long! Lol! I originally had a sweeping S bend in my layout plan for Shelfington, but found that not all of my rolling stock liked traversing S bends, especially if they were too tight, so definitely have a test if you're going to go down that route! Looking forward to your next update! All the best, Ian.

Thanks for your comment and feedback Paul, I just seem to be wading through treacle at the moment adding the odd subscriber here and there whilst new channels seem to get 200+ subs after only their first video. Had to try something a bit different.😃

Hi Chris. I enjoyed the layout tour and the discussion of your plans. I think people do enjoy hearing what you have planned and then seeing it happen. I think you are right to try to find a way to incorporate the far two lines at the back into the visible part of the layout. I'll be interested to see how you adjust the revised line to achieve that, but it could make for a scenically interesting section as the lines intertwine to eventually get to their respective tunnel portals. Hi Chris, That was an enjoyable and informative tour of your layout. It sounds like you've got plenty of ideas to develop it further. When we were building Dylington, we decided to cover the track at one end, as my grandson wanted a tunnel. We were going to pull a camp site on top around the edge of a reservoir, including part of a dam. But my grandson decided he wanted a farm, so it ended up there instead of the campsite. Swoping the tracks at the back around sounds good, however, you decide to do it. As for the possible industrial area on the extension, my grandson says you need a Dylington Custard distribution area 🙄, he says those yellow wagons are carrying Dylington Custard 😂. We're looking forward to following your progress...cheers James 🙂👍

Thanks James, I've cracked straight on with the boards for the extension, no time like the present.....

Hi Chris - definitely try and keep the back two lines visible - on my first attempt I had a tunnel most of the way which covered the lines and I missed the opportunity to have a straight run. The extension down the other side will open up a lot of opportunity to create stations, fiddle yards etc and give you more running options. Great to see the whole layout and th eway you broke it down into sections. Lots of exciting work ahead!
    Regards
    Steve

Thanks Steve, I think it's pretty much decision made with making the rear two lines visible, 3+ metres of double track hidden - what was I thinking?🤨

Great layout and space!.....looks like you are in a 1930s loft space?......similar size to my area in the loft....... I've not yet done an introductory video .

Hi there, yes indeed, 1930's house loft conversion. Absolutely great place for a layout but have to put some space aside for my desk and some storage areas.
