Tesla Model 3 Remap Part 3: Ingenext Boost 50 Features
I deep dive into the Ingenext Boost 50 functions.
At the start of 2021 I created Chargeheads to ELECTRIFY petrolheads essentially get more car enthusiasts into electric cars. An Electric Petrolhead if you like....A CHARGEHEAD!!!!
To start I decided to do an EV conversion and went on an amazing journey visiting many of the big companies in this field.
I selected the not so well known TVR Tasmin 350i, AKA the Wedge (#tvrwedgee ) to electrify after careful consideration of other cars. As I already had a TVR Griffith which I enjoyed driving and with my passion for raw, powerful, tail happy cars with no driver aids TVR was the obvious choice when selecting a car to electrify.
The 2nd build is the #SpecialTrikee project a 1970's BSA Aerial 3 Tricycle Scooter that me and my mate Vinny have turned into a e-Trike. I use this for local trips and it's a load of fun. Mrs Chargehead calls it my special scooter.....that originally had a 50cc two stroke motor and has a 250 watt motor in it, of course.
The Latest project is Rustee #RusteeTesla the Tesla build to make a Model 3 Long Range....well.....better! Better in looks, handling and performance while keeping her a monster mile daily and the efficiency intact. Focusing again on modifying with used parts to keep it green, where possible.
I hope to not only entertain with ChargeheadsUK Channel and the #TVRWedgee, #SpecialTrikee and #RusteeTesla builds, but also to inspire watchers to create their own greener transport.
With the help of leaders in their field like Ralph Hosier (Engineer, designer, builder of special vehicles, teacher, writer, TV presenter and trouble maker.
Ralph teaches Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Training (IMI Techsafe), builds some amazing one off projects and most of all is a top bloke!
He's the engineer behind #TVRWedgee the Electric TVR.
So let the fun begin......safely in a controlled environment using the right EV safety equipment! ;0)
Did I mention myself and Ralph have also done an EV Conversion safety video as well.

Looking at the asked price for this, it seem cheap made vs. S3XY buttons commander which easily update through their very well made APP. Remove regen for efficiency while setting it to max. for max recharge? That's kind of opposite for same goal. You get best range with as much regen as possible & then control it through the accelerator which practically is your regen adjuster when driving. Tesla can VERY easily detect this performance update as you need more Nm = More KW for faster acceleration.
@@ChipMIK thanks for the info. I looked into sexy buttons but decided against them, although a good product.
@chargeheadsuk May i ask why not? Their app looks a zillion better to operate than what's shown in your video, it actually works and they are very fast to update when Tesla do breaking changes.
@@ChipMIK I don't think they did the performance uodate at the time. Do they now? I spoke to Ingenext last night and they are updating their App and going bluetooth as well.
@@chargeheadsuk Nope (performance), but at the price they claim i would keep warranty, get the performance from Tesla and then a very well integrated and always up to date knob instead. Personal prefs and prob. no royalty sell from S3XY :-)
@ChipMIK yes if you have £2k ish to spare a safer option. The Boost 50 cost me circa £800 in a sale. Whats the drift mode like on the Sexy button version? Can you adjust the power front to back for example? Also the boost 50 increases thr performance of standard range which you can't do with Tesla boost.

Ive recently last week changed the arms and the spherical bearings were taken out of the old arms and put in the new ones and still in great condition. They are sealed from memory. I hope that helps
The ipace was actually reliable. All there faults were related to low voltage , ie undersized or poor 12v battery. Apart from a few 2019 models that had a fault on the busbars connections .

@Markcain268 well after the array of performance cars I've been lucky enough to drive, Rustee's power is about right now. The performance brake upgrade I did in a previous video was a wise decision standard or remapped, as the standard Long range brakes are poor for spirited driving.

EVS are promoted by woke unhuman AI agenda.
Who cares about the fuel, what matters is where can you fill up. Most EV owners fill up at home. Will take way too long to build the infrastructure for hydrogen cars although some trucking companies might be able to set up their own.
@@ColinWatters exactly, we went into detail on this.
Hydrogen gets pushed as a distraction to delay people buying EVs. If they can convince buyers that 5 years from now there might be something which makes EVs obsolete, they're less likely to switch.
@@JamesScholesUK i do agree that Toyota have used this tactic, also their solid state progress
@@JamesScholesUK H2 is just as viable today as it was in the 80s. Very little has changed. Meanwhile, EV tech is moving fast! H2 is 'mostly' smoke and mirrors.
@@PWN-Ewith all of these things the R&D is being fuelled by policy and regulations. We had better diesel engines and hybrids because of CO2 regs and more recently the bar has been raised high enough that you need to drop combustion engines altogether where possible. In that scenario you may well find things that BEVs aren’t right for without a generational leap forward. It may never find its place in transport. The whole thing hinges on commercial vehicles and marine applications where you’ve got a predictable throughput of demand - something you won’t have with cars, yet. If that baseline is in place then those stations could at some point be shared with other vehicles. But unfortunately it’s been portrayed, needlessly, as an either/or technology rather than another piece in a complicated jigsaw puzzle. If it doesn’t work then it won’t take off. The market will decide. And it’s not like EVs haven’t had tonnes of government support to get to where they are now. So I don’t see it as a distraction. I see it as a complementary technology for electrification. The two coexist nicely for different roles.
@@AlexGrantuk "As with all these things" I assume you bean H2 is one of those things? I'm just saying, there's really only 2 transportation fuel options right now (and that's probably how it will stay), electric or petroleum. And the only option with potential to be renewable is electric. H2 efficiencies are low enough that the cost will always be many times more than any other "fuel." It's fine for niche applications but H2 is INTRINSICALLY unscalable for highway or long distance transportation.
@@PWN-E then the market will decide. If it doesn’t work then it won’t take off, simple as that. But if there’s a market need for it then - just as there’s been a vast injection of cash into BEVs - who knows. There are smarter people than me chasing hydrogen. I’m not convinced that it’s a distraction or a way to undermine BEVs, and I don’t see why you would want to limit those options given that the underlying tech is the same. The US DOE sees long haul hydrogen trucks being cost effective before BEVs and most of the OEMs are pursuing it as an option. We’ve never had a single fuel that fulfils all needs, and maybe we never will. But I think hydrogen has been marketed wrong - it’s not a tech for cars, nor a way to avoid short charging times for households. It’ll be commercial fleets that move first, if it happens at all. And I still accept that “not at all” is a possibility.
Gas engines require more maintenance & servicing than current ice cars as they run hotter, they are a good fit for HGVs but not for so much for cars. No way i am going back to a vehichle that i cannot refuel at home.
@@evostu7814 yes we covered the maintenance piece, you're right also fueling at home is so convenient...for most.
Ammonia is a much nicer molecule to work with than H2, and it can be used in a Fuel Cell, but I think it's further from vehicular use. Would be a good candidate for shipping.
@@otterylexa4499 yes transport is an issue for Hydrogen thats for sure.
You can't scale H2 for highway transportation. It works well in niche applications where cost per mile isn't such a strong consideration. H2 forklifts for example. Though fast charging will probably shrink that H2 market soon as well.
@@PWN-E there is certainly a strong case against Hydrogen EV's at the moment. An interesting chat we had none the less of the potential application
I didn't think they made fuel cells small enough for forklifts.
@@otterylexa4499 We had 30-ish fuel-cell-powered fork lifts when I worked for an a EV manufacturer. None of them worked though. We were still using electric equipment. Setting up hydrogen infrastructure, even at a factory, is extremely expensive and takes forever!
@otterylexa4499 i certainly learnt alot on this chat
Where are the filling stations?
@@GNiessen apparently 16 filling stations only about 2 public ones...
Hydrogen for cars is the very definition of failure
Thanks for the informative video. Do you recommend buy a used Model Y from the Tesla website or dealers? If you buy from the Tesla site they give an extra 1 year warranty with their certified vehicles. debating which year is good 2022 or 2023 because under 30K miles it's costs around $30k. Thanks
@@skyisthelimit9951 no worries. I personally prefer to buy privately, however I have quite a few years car buying experience. I would say buy on age and condition and worry less about mileage. 👍
How about cars that have already been modified. ICE drag cars, road race cars, modded street cars, etc. should all be fair game. Unless there's something special about the old modification (a survivor Jag E Type road racer with a 60-year old log book should be preserved) get out the torch and electrify it!
