We each picked a guitar part to play and then recorded and stacked the tracks together. The other tracks (drums,bass,etc) were put together using Midi in Logic Pro.

It's called staccato. That is, playing more choppy and cutting off the notes, instead of holding and letting them ring.

@@2PlayerSounds I've specifically been trying to replicate the 80's D'Erlanger sound recently.

D'Erlanger is raw awesomeness distilled into a band. Lots of Overdrive/Distortion and a healthy dose of Chorus to their guitar sound. It's Punk rock with effects 🤘

ESP, Ibanez, Fernandes. All great Japanese brands.

It sure was, let me tell you. The Underneath opened up for MUCC, and compared to all the other American bands on the bill, those two bands blew them away as far as stage performance and presence goes. They all looked and sounded like larger that life rockstars. It was so cool.

@@2PlayerSounds as a multi instrumentalist Yoshiki was a huge reason I decided to branch out from piano only!

That's the best part of X, you get it all, from heavy metal and thrash speeds to gentle piano ballads and more.I think that's awesome that their music has helped you to play different instruments. We've been lucky to catch X and Yoshiki several times whenever they played in the US, and each time was just as epic.

Yokan was stuck in my head for years and I couldn't find it! Then I just suddenly remembered who it might've been that made the song I was hearing. There's recordings on my phone where I've hummed it out (badly) and I think I'd done that like 2-3 seperate times! I was that determined to find the song. That song was just burned into my subconscious.

At 6:30 there's Malice Mizer- 追憶の破片 [Tsuioku no Kakera] / Fragments of Remembrance. :D

I've heard their latest album, it kicks @ss. It's like they never stopped playing at all, they still got it! I haven't watched any new video, but will definitely catch up with them.

@@2PlayerSounds Yeah, their new album, but also new versions of their old songs they recorded are amazing, I agree it sounds like they never stopped playing. Mako's vocal and aie's guitar are like wine, the older the better. It's one of my favourite bands ever, so I'm sooo happy they are active again, and that both Mako and aie are again in this band, because, to be honest, they always were most important members of this band, they are Deadman's sound and atmosphere. There are some great live performances, I really recommend them, and also MV for one song from new album.

I've now watched the MV for "Shizukana Kuchizuke". It's so friggin' cool! They still look and sound like their usual awesome selves. We are lucky to be alive in a time where Deadman is releasing new music and videos. They are definitely one of my favorite bands too. I've also heard their re-recorded material, it sounds just as good if not better than before.

@@2PlayerSounds Mako's visual style changed a lot, he has light hair now, not black like he used to have, and also his makeup is different, I miss that vampire lips makeup, but he still looks great. There is amazing live performance of song "Arizuka" from 2020 where Mako has fluorescence eye contacts and he also have some fluorescence paint on his hands and face, looks scary, but sooo cool! I really recommend that performance.
