Zenless Zone Zero is TOO Addicting

I might have gotten a bit too addicted to Zenless Zone Zero. I didn't think Mihoyo... Or well, Hoyoverse, would let me down. And I guess I wasn't wrong, but I can't stop thinking about Howl the sleepy doggo.
Gacha Games have always been a weakness for me because they just seem to always make the best Waifus. When am I gonna see one of those AAA studios make a good waifu game? The internal struggle is always real when you have to decide if Caesar King or Jane Doe is the better waifu... But who are we kidding, Belle is best.

Why I QUIT the Best FPS Roguelike

I've liked some rogue-like games before, when they were rpgs. I mean making mistake by being greedy and taking the cup of some dryad, seeping off a fountain without checking if it was poisoned. Yeah stuff like that were pretty cool. But dying in an action game with dynamic variables and everything is trying to kill you in real time. eww. I've always hated games that resets your progress like Drill Dozer and that one Ps2 game. I think it just creates a superficial replayabilty by putting you back to almost square 1. I was stating to enjoy Dead Cells and my build was already pretty cool. an hour of good progress turned to nothing once you die. Too bad that these games are really cool and well crafted. I just dont have the patience anymore and never was some gamer god myself. Souls like is my sweetspot i guess if i want something relatively harder games
Hades made me lose no nut November, not just the game ;)
My brain could not even process what was going on the screen😂 I'll stick with turn based games and metroidvanias
"I usually move on after just 10-20 hours", "I have never played a Roguelike for more than 60 hours" What the hell is wrong with you? How can you play those games for that long? I've never played a Roguelike for more than 5 hours, maybe even less. People always complain that they are repetitive, but honestly, most Roguelikes feel like shit on your first run. The only reason why every indie dev makes rogue likes is that they don't have the resources to make enough quality content and balance their game properly.
You hit the nail on the head. These games feel like grind for the sake of grind for me. Something in my head just doesn’t see the point and I wind up moving on super quickly.
I'm gonna be honest. Hades ingame artstyle keeps me from playing it. It actually looks really boring to me
I dropped this game because I am in the boat that believes the puzzles overstay their welcome. At some point they are no longer fun and challenging, but very tedious and annoying. I dropped the game after the second temple. I refuse to time all those stupid spinnies with Steam for 80 rooms. 👎
Damn! I heard my friend talking about Gunfire Reborn a long time ago, but didnt realize it was so highly praised. I didnt like the Mobement in Pizza Tower either, but I didnt think it belonged in D Tier. Such a bummer, I was looking forward to Sea of Stars, but I can pick up Chained Echoes instead.
Trying to find a new job is a rogue like in its own. Getting so close and then having to start from square one. Over and over and over again. For what feels like an eternity. Why. The FUCK. would I play a game that emulates the worst parts of real life?
ok man game taste is quite subjective ig
Your style and editing are worth at least 1 million subs. If you commit and start pumping videos more regularly I'll subscribe as well cause it's been 2 weeks since this one and the last video before this was 7 months ago. Hope you're able to figure out whatever is stopping you from making more videos cause this was really fun to watch.
Thanks a loy man, I would love to make more videos. But adulting takes up so much time.
Here to watch and comment for the algy. Keep up the good work dude. Glad you found something else you enjoy.
Thanks man. It's not super engaging, but I love how casual it is.
Chrono Ark solves most of these issues. It's basically a story-driven JRPG, except to progress the story you need to clear roguelike runs. You also unlock new characters as you progress, which IMO is far more interesting than just unlocking new cards/weapons for the same character/s you've already played with a hundred times.
Making a game into a roguelike is just a way to reuse a tiny amount of content endlessly.
im not a hardcore gamer and am basically unfamiliar with this genre of game maybe thats why, but i dont understand why people like games like hades and deadcells, the levels are random and unpurposeful and non alive, and i should just suppose to fight the ememies with same style of fighting style or same style of ememies in unpurposeful same type of area, for me little bit of change in all those are not enough, and all these things makes these games light and small for me, thats why i dont get it why people like them so so much, or maybe i havent played them enough and more rogue like games, maybe this Have a nice D game on this video of urs will change my mind a little it about rouge likes, maybe its just about the specific game, and this Have a nice D game looks like a action platformer or a metroidvania maybe thats why it seems appealing to me. But i think come to think of it , this genre might work for me for un personality games like galaga or something
Story is boring though. Combat is addicting though.
I watch the cutscenes, good enough for me.
Install game for fun quality assurance game title, not quantity always online game produced for Characters kit class identity skill move combat before FOMO were MMO.
MMOs are just too time consuming for people with busy lives sadly.
love it
Billy is waifu material
It's too bad I'm totally not into his playstyle.

Im stuck on level 32
Just gotta keep grinding for that exp. Everything that uses Energy will give you Exp. As well as side missions, side stories, and pretty much everything.
can you please whale me up some 6k Polychromes?
I wish... Next few banners could be a struggle.
when you reach lvl 50 you only need 15-25 mins to complete the weekly chores lol. but yeah the starting point is really good,
Oh yeah, I got to Lv50 pretty quickly, and even though there's less to do because you've cleared most content by this time, it strangely gets much better. It doesn't take too long to S Rank all of Shiyu every 2 weeks and having only 2 Hollow Zero runs a week makes it a million times more tolerable.
Definitely not my cup of tea, glade you enjoy it.
Yeah, some like an Open World like Genshin, but I actually enjoy having a Hub world instead.
never use the Skip button and never will use it, the characters and the story are really good, but they should add it to genshin because that game needs it
I'll read snippets here and there when it comes to character lore. But otherwise I don't care much for the main story and side mission stuff.
That skipped button for me is the winning treat I have hardly any time on my hands to just relax and enjoy it so it's the best addition I put genshin and star rail down because they refuse to let me skip I can't just sit there smashing x for 2 hours if only auto worked then I could do other things or just let it run while I'm busy.
Yeah. That was a huge gripe of mine with Genshin. I get to run across the map just so I can button mash through a 5 min conversation I don't care about.
Dude i love the way you simply just continuing editing after the video, special touch and thoughout jokes, pure cinema. Keep it up.
I enjoy editing and adding random crap. I dont know why.
the horrible decision 😅
Story of my life man.
2:06 My favorite part in the whole game! CHOMP
Giving the chomps.
Ima need them to make some more dudes...this game is getting kinda goonish'
It is... as much as I love the waifus, I need more husbandos so I can stop spending money.
I have a problem. I've completed all the side quests and main story. What do i do now?
You just farm your dailies and weeklies while waiting for more content. In gacha games, content isn't so much as new missions or anything, but mostly new characters to spend money on... haha.
Nicely accurate summary videos. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks man.
TBH I like the game a lot but, Shiyu defence is starting to get meh and Hollow Zero is just homework
Yeah. But Shiyu is biweekly content and hollow zero dropped from 5 to 2 runs a week. So I think they will keep improving crap along the way. Remove the annoyances.
The Bald Man's Cookin 🔥🔥🔥
It's what I do.
Fantastic video man had me cracking up. Deff cant wait to see more content from ya.
Thanks a lot dude. It was about half a year between this and my last video. So maybe if we're lucky I'll have another by the end of the year... haha.
Eww... a skipper.
It's always been hard for me to engage in stories, not matter what game it is.

Good review
Thanks man. Not really in depth or technical, but I enjoy sharing my stupid opinions.
Great video bro! I was looking for a game that's casual, not open world and not too grindy. this game is really fun, just started playing yesterday.
Nice man. I hope you keep going with it.
That video was peak , only thing you got wrong is getting S11 on guaranteed
Honestly would take anything not a dupe at the moment.
I'm so starved for content, I'm just playing hollow zero with unbuilt characters at this point
Yeah, but I like that cuz it kinda gives me time to do adulting things.
Hilarious. I got 400 hrs and still having a blast. I just need more areas, enemies, and to be able to walk around with jane
More Jane Pls! Next patch should be awesome with the new challenges. Hopefully they keep making harder and harder content.
This right here. They need to add more scalable difficulties for combat missions, possibly similar to Ether Intensity 1-11 for Nineveh
@@lmm616 they did say in the livestream theyre adding more difficulty modifiers to hollow zero including Nineveh. Theres one removing flashing indicators for enemies that looked most interesting to me
Yeah, I think the new mode should be interesting. Though I would like to fight something that's not Nineveh.
subbed for DA BEARS reference
I assume you are also old... Haha.
Well what got me into ZZZ eventho i was never into Genshin or HSR or Wuthering. 1. I was bored but Genshin got 4 year worth of content so i already missed the hype train. 2. It's a new game so yeah atleast I can jump on this hype train. 3. Tho the biggest reason that tip me over is that there's is no husbando to simp so I won't be whaling 💸💸 or feel bad if I don't get someone and just play with whomever I got. Got Seth on my first pull(he's a low investment C0 and I'm saving all my pull for Asaba Harumasa then I can run full electro boys team) there won't be any more boys for the next few years update according to leaks. 😂😂 4. The dailies are super easy. (Open shop, scratch lotto, drink coffee) If you wanna spent resin/battery, they are customizable (you can just queue up all the material you need and run them one shot and you are done for the day).
The lack of Husbandos and only Waifus is what makes it more dangerous for me. Haha. I do love how little you can play the game and still be "caught up" because of how simple the dailies are. And the Weeklies takes you a total of maybe 2 hours max? I think the Battery Reserve thingy coming in 1.2 is gonna be huge.
Yo, this video was fire btw. Very well made
Thanks a lot man.
yeah its addicting till you hit around 35 to 40
speak for yrself lol
I thought it got much better after you hit 50. Haha.
I like how the setting provokes urbin fantasy and Genetic modification humans with the cat-girls and furries. I also like the animation.
I definitely do like the setting more than I did in Genshin and Starrail. The vibe just seems a lot less serious and more playful.
I played for about 10 hours and almost kept going due to the strength of the character design but the gameplay loop wasn't interesting enough, mashy combat and a small limited world would make it a good mobile game but it's lacking in mechanics.
The lack of mechanics is kinda what gets me into it. It's simple but the few mechanics are amusing enough to keep me interested. I do admit the loop isn't the greatest, since it does ultimately fall back into the regular Mobile/Gacha loop. It's honestly probably the waifus that keeps people coming back for more.
it gets harder further in, don't blame you for dropping though

It's about to be Burnice.. just perfection
skill issues. All roguelikes can be finished through skill alone.
I lack skill.
Actually lol'd at 5:30. I totally related to the end section where you talked about replaying the same SNES games and renting games on the weekend. Times have changed so much!
It has definitely changed. For the best or for the worst, I'm not sure.
ive never felt so much visceral rage at a list, you like action roguelikes, completely different thing to strategy based or slow paced roguelikes (which makes me confused about the ror2 take but anyway) games within subgenres of roguelike aren't even comparable, this video probably would have been better suited if you just focused on Action Roguelikes (and btw i think saying 7 best roguelikes then ranking by personal opinion is kind of weird)
