thanks! it's jitter, honestly max is insane and I'm hoping to never open td again, I absolutely love the max flow, it's a bit harder at the moment but with time should be easier :)
@@asinenoise I'm constantly on the edge of diving into Max/Jitter and living there for a while ....seems like once you got over the hump could get some wild expressive stuff going on
@yotassx diving is the correct word, there's no dipping, while there are some texture manipulation packages like Vizzy with which you'd probably feel at home straight away, getting into the geometry stuff will take more time, you can use the Max free without saving for as long as you need and there is 50% off for Live Suite owners so I decided to go for it with a vision of using M4L device to save the video patch into the Live project where I record, perhaps record some midi and use it as modulation as well. overall I just didn't feel that TD is my endgame software and really wanted something that eventually I'll be able to do more with, I plan to get to audio part too in the future, there's so much you can do with Max it's mindblowing.
it is just rytm :) the long drone is detuned single cycle sine waveforms spread across two tracks and additional track with UT NOISE and a looped field recording sample blended in, and the kick is actually a snare machine, don't ask why though, it just happened haha
haha thanks, can't guarantee F16 will be recorded, sometimes the rytm glitching with the performance macros and I just skip to the next one instead of rebuilding, but there are two more banks to fill [G-H] in the project :)
thank you :) it's both, the percussive parts and drony bass/pad are all synthesis, the short glitchy sounds are samples. there's also hh lab and the cowbell somewhere in there ;)
"chef's kiss" reminds me of a Royksopp interview where they're telling a story how Holywood studio approached them to buy the MS20 patch from the Vision One song to use it in some sci-fi film (I think it was Independence Day) and they told them no because that bass was "chef's kiss" :)
hey, thanks! this is stereo recording from the rytm main outs, everything is coming from inside the box, no additional fx, only the ones available in the rytm. it is post-processed to normalize the recording but my normalization process rather on the simple side, I aim to maximize the level without altering the recording too much, usually some eq, compression and bit of mid side processing, nothing is giving or taking more then 1-2db, usually even less. the purpose of the chain is mostly to make the recording sound translatable, in general my goal is: if I turn off the master chain leaving only the limiter - the difference should be negligible.
@@asinenoise Thanks for the elaborate answer. I was tricked into thinking that there are several separate delay / reverb lines with different timings going but AFAIK the AR only has one of each. Great stuff.
thanks! there are lots of ways to simulate delays besides the built in one in the fx section, you can set up trigs in a way that sounds like a delay with each trig plocked volume/pan, with retrigs and velocity mods or the way I use a lot is split a track into two/three tracks, each panned separately and trigs shifted to whatever delay measure I want, in this track I think there are two tracks running the same sounds but with 4 trigs shift, the benefit of this method is you can setup Performance Macros to do separate things on each track making it extra special when playing. rytm is very capable device even though it seems limited on paper, a lot can be done with it :)
haha no way :) I'm not letting go of the rytm ever! while I appreciate the new possibilities presented with the Tonverk I don't think anything can replace the rytm magic :)this piece is actually my submission to the Disquiet Junto Project dedicated to the Clicks + Cuts album
@@asinenoise ;-) Will def check the Junto project. Yep Rytm is a gem and keeper. Just so creative. Your staging of instruments is superb, keeping the low end yet crisp clicks and hihats … great work. Tonverk, well looks more of a plug in controller. Wait till we see Max / Native Instruments plugins on it ;-)
thanks! there's no hihats here, just the noise machine ;) gain staging is #1 priority, it is make or break feature, and without any visual aids for levels/compressor gain reduction it takes some time to get it, but totally makes the device sing! don't know about the tonverk, I assume no way it's a controller with sd card slot and audio buses, but who knows :)
@@asinenoise Yep, we shall see. But I do think downloadable content/subscription will be the shift if to maintain the company afloat. Moving assembly/production to China from EU- if we can read this from the leaked info - is already a sign of expense cut. … Autumn is good time for speculations. But it wont affect what current lineup can do ;-)
just listened to it, very cool track! that's Luke Slater, right? I don't have much time to listen to a lot of music these days but really need to dig into Luke
I've heard that name many times, looked him up and he has a website with 5 aliases, guess he's doing a lot of different projects, either way, a lot to explore :)

Nice one. I assume its live recording? So many changes makes it worth listening thru all 7min. Great work.
thanks :)
Where can I download <333
I'll upload the recent batch to bancamp in the near future :)

sure, it's in the about section of the channel as well: asine.bandcamp.com

Is it just Rytm? I can hear a long drone does not seem to be from AR

@ that’s the magic of Rytm which i could not replicate with a Digitakt nor with an OT -
it sure is a box of magic :)
Congratulations, just one more, [F16] you master of the Analog Rytm! Thank you for sharing your creativity and work. 🖤

the sound's crisp, mature yet funky but i really dig the visual thanks for sharing
Excuse my language, but that was fucking excellent
thank you :)
Insane as heck!

Underrated This needs at minimum 23k views and a dude with 10k subs commenting saying it is impressive
thank you for the kind words :)
Nice one man !

You can't run forever Tom Hanks.
Great soundscape and textures. Cool animation!

ambients not dead :)
Wow! Thats absolutly amazing!! Do you do it only with an Analog Rytm? And how do you do the visuals? Which program is it? Truly amazing !!! Best, Kai
thank you! just the stereo outs from the rytm. the visuals patched in touchdesigner.
love love love <3

I love hpw ur music gives those vibes like lorn but with more of an extraterestrial feel
Yes indeed };-]

Quake I soundtrack by Trent Reznor ...Version 2.0. Scary good. 👍
haha thanks, my favorite game and ost :)

Out of sheer curiosity - is this 100% AR2 or is there some post processing, additional effects etc. going on. Sounds fantastic.

what did you use vfor the video?
this is a TouchDesigner patch, this specific patch is a single line being modulated in all sorts of ways but basically it's just one single line
That's wild....I like it!
thank you :)
Nice❤ - I’m just diving into the elektron world for pretty much the first time with the Syntakt - so much fun!!!
you chose a great device to dive with :) would love to have fx block on the rytm too ;)
Digging the plinky arp thing! 🔥🔥
Art instelation material right here, you're the goat of dub rn bro.
thank you :)
Sound design is wilder than ever, you could score a game.
thanks! don't play much games these days, but I can see myself doing couple of Quake levels with this music :)
This sounds so good! Are these all internal synthsized sounds?
thank you! it's a mixture of samples and synthesis but everything coming from the stereo output of the device.
Nice🎉
this is dope! digging that electro-acoustic vibe!

excellent! love all those litlle glitchy sounds & how you've kept it on the minimalist side

Cool!
Bro where did u get this visualizer? fire music tho
thank you! it's a TouchDesigner patch :)
