My great uncle Allen Schaefer was one of the people that helped design the OG Fire in the Hole. As well as a lot of the other rides at SDC and the slides at White Water. His brother, my other great uncle Lou Schaefer was the Mayor of Branson from 95-07 and oversaw a massive expansion of Branson into the tourist mecca it is today. Super proud of both of them and our Branson heritage. My family just got back from a trip to Branson, and we all rode the new Fire in the Hole for the first time since the remake. It's a perfect nod to the old one with just the right amount of modernization to take it to the future.

Working Security and wandering the waterpark at night was a blast (I climbed everything)

They just opened a theme park. I used to go there yearly with my Nana. Live in corn

i went there about a year and a half ago. if you want really good rides with absolutely no wait time on any of them at all due to the fact that nobody unfortunately goes to the park, then this is the park for you! not to mention the water park is awesome as well (besides the beer prices)

Islands of Adventure is defiently my favourite Theme Park in the world as of now

havent watched video yet but im somehow getting offended by the 'middle of nowhere' remark. its on the outskirts of one of our biggest cities, waterloo (including cedar falls). then again..... our biggest cities arent that big..

We did end up getting a lot of Halloween Horror Nights houses with a lot of Stephen King’s titles at least. The Shining being one of the best.

I worked at six flags in the mid 70s, it was a great ride for cooling down in the summer heat! I have fond memories of walking by and the waterfall and wet wood smell of the ride!! Really awesome times!!😊 Thx for this video!!!

I used to live in Cedar Falls and visited Lost Island back when it was only a water park. I had no idea what it had grown into since then!

You definitely need to go back and ride Wild Eagle and Dragon Fly in Wildwood Grove.

Sounds like stephen kings turned into earthquake more then the mummy or a mixture of both. Cause the blood scene sounds familiar to the earthquake happening while your in the train cart

Seems like this entire video just showed us why Dark Universe is gonna go freaking HARD when Epic Universe opens. The cancelled Van Helsing ride is what the Monsters Unchained ride is going to be.

The last time I went to a Disney Park was back in 2002 when I was 13. My family saw Food Rocks. Even at the time, I thought the show animatronics looked cheap. Especially compared to animatronics of Kitchen Kabaret, judging from what I've seen in this video.

The Seuss’s were neighbors of my family in San Diego… lived in La Jolla, Ca. So that was sweet to see Audrey Geisel smiling when she finally visited Universal and was impressed! A very nice lady! ♥️

$300m over budget on MGM Studios… and still they created a park that is just as bland as Universal Studios, who they were trying to outdo! 😆 I mean, bland, as far as rides & interesting attractions. At least to me. Shows, food, shopping and immersive "experiences" don’t quite justify the high admission. Or even spending an entire day, at either park. Islands of Adventure is far more worth the price!

Call me crazy, but I distinctly remember riding the Casper ride as a little kid... Maybe I accidentally phased through different dimensions or alternate universes without realizing it? I don't know, but I do remember it.

Space Mountain music is awesome ❤❤❤❤❤. I just don't think I can ride anymore last my now 40 yr old body can't handle it and I was 39 at that time. N yes Soaring was is beautiful ❤❤❤❤.

I personally feel like Test Track was timeless before they “modernized” it. The crash test dummy theme was fun and interesting, but stripping all of that for a sleek look just made it boring.
