Get my 2024 Jungle green Jimny in a couple of days 🥰 I have an old Land Rover Series 3 1980 ex army 88” with ARB air lockers front and rear. Tough as hell…..Was curious ! This video gave me all the answers. Will think about my needs vs price. Thank you so much. So great 😊👍
How do you fit all your camping and recovery gear in the Jimmy
What a fuking machine. I can't wait to get one
Little rig I have seen you in person we went off-roading at that long trail
Stock vs Not
Hi Darren, firstly, congratulations for the great project: bravo! On the suspensions, which is your latest set up? I can see the IronMan coil springs at the rear (probably the 200-400 kg constant load), and maybe the ToughDog (80-100 kg) at the front? Which are the shock absorbers that you are using in the last configuration? Pier
Hi mate :) I have the Carbon off-road remote res shocks all round. Also my rear I recently switched back to my 80mm tough dog springs with airbag man airbags to support the weight when I put my canopy on.
I am about to fit front and rear ARB air lockers to my Jimny but would like to know if I will need to also purchase new carrier bearings.
Tire and rim size please... Lift modes?
Someone told your Mum that you rolled it on Cape York!
Uhh ohhhh 😅😅
Great content as always 👍
That looks cool as
Not the rig fail but the idiot driver failed
Shes a propper dirty little beast!!
I have to ask, why were you steering that way? 🧐
I always try to drive the leans. It’s my favourite. But this time I leaned too much 😂
@@TheLittleRig ahhhh yes yes. That makes sense. Ultimate flexiboi that way. Little too much flex this time. 🤣 Good thing it was only slow and minor and everyone is okay. 😎😍
Oops over she goes
Sick
Love it. Looks fantastic
Hi, great video did that drive like 12 years ago. Looking at doping it this weekend but forgot which road to turn off from Dayboro. How do you get to Range rd from Dayboro?
Hey mate 😊 You get onto it via Lacey’s Creek Rd. Have fun!
Or you can go Chambers Rd if you just want to start near the Gantry
great demo of each ,,,certainly shows what each can do thanks guys and gals

can you share a video of how you made this pick up jimny ? I wish to do the same with my jimny, making it pickup vehicle and i wish i could understand the way of making it. how did you measure the size of cutting and how you re-connect the back of it.
How much would you sell it for?? Just curious
Did any of you guys installed reduction gears(T-Case gears) or crawler gears to compensate larger tyres?
Yes mate absolutely. I have 17% high range reductions and 87% low range. This is ideal for 31-32” tyres. If it had been available way back when I did mine I would have got 115% low range to really make it crawl.
@@TheLittleRig Which brand did you installed? Can you suggest some brands or links? I can't find the 17%/87% for 2023 AT model(5 door)? I only intended to use 235/75/15(30inch) tyres mostly. Can you point some online store ref in Australia?
@@srikrishnacj4965mine are pro track from Greece. Sumo Gears also make them 😊
That was hilarious! I too love my 3 door Jimny and have more or less the same thoughts about the 5 door when released this year by Suzuki in Mexico. Cheers!
Затея прикрльная,не понятно зачем снимать с машины?
To go 4wd’ing tough tracks and then come back to camp already set up at the end of the day.

Good cars, great team work. Very entertaining. Keep up the good content mate!
Damn, that's a strong advertisement for a lift and some better wheels
Another great video and explanation, how frustrating is wind noise in videos! Awesome little rig
Thanks for being honest with the cost of set up, that’s a great video much appreciated.
Not sure if mentioned, but don't forget to release the handbrake! otherwise if you force the drum off, you'll shear a retainer clip by the piston & leak fluid :/
Thanks mate. Very informative. Keep up great content 👍
buitiful
Jesus, that's some impressive driving.
Thankyou 😊
Hi You were mentioning about reduction gears after installing lockers are they required to done while installing lockers
Hi mate, nah the reduction gears actually don’t have any relation to the lockers. The gears are for bringing your rev range back to factory standard when you put large tyres on. Or, if you want very slow crawling ability off-road.
Thank you so much for your reply 😊
@@TheLittleRig sorry to trouble you once again. Had a few queries regarding installation of ARB rear locker for my Jimny 1) Does the installation affect the overall performance and mileage of the vehicle 2) Since the air locker is just used when necessary and in such situations say for example you are ascending a steep hill with a turn to either the right or left, Will the locker and axle get damaged when you turn your steering in such situations. 3) Since there is a change in differential step up after installing air locker and it becomes an open differential in normal usage does it affect the drivability of the vehicle on Tarmac
honestly they won’t affect day to day driving at all. You won’t notice them when they are not engaged.
@@TheLittleRig thank you so much 😊
Hi Had a few query before installing an air locker on my Jimny 1) Does the fitment of an air locker affect the overall performance of the vehicle and fuel mileage 2) Since air lockers are used only sparingly when situations warrant most of the time it is going to be an open differential hence does it affect the cornering performance on normal roads since the differential set up has changed and does that affect the drive quality on Tarmac when they are disengaged. 3) Like what is shown in the video, the two tracks had sudden turns the first on the left and the second track had a turn to the right so since the locker was engaged prior to ascending the terrain do the axle and locker get damaged when you take that turn.
Hi very impressive, do all the jimnys have diff locks fitted
Hey! Yep from memory all were locked at the time this was filmed 👌🏼
You just buy a new Jimny on accessories…
Interesting comparison
Great video! I loved your answer! Greetings from Mexico!
Thank you! 😃
The stock Jimny is a capable vehicle, but that twin locked is a weapon😂
The main modifications I did to mine was to lift it 15mm with beefier King Springs, put Koni absorbers and bigger 215/80/R15 tyres (around 3cm more clearance!). I find it super capable off road, to be honest, and still very good on the road (or as good as a Jimny can be). That said, I use it to go to places, not rock crawling or anything like that 😊
Ha ha, luv it even though I’m in the market for the XL. 😂
Haha as long as you know I’m just joking around 😊😊
First like Matt, call yourself the biggest fan. Pfff
😂😂😂
Looking good and now that you have finished yours can you do mine also and don't forget you will have to pay for it also 😂😂
Love it! I was wondering, I'm a Kiwi moving to Aus (Vic) next year and wanted to find out what's the best site/place to buy used 4WD. I'm unfortunately putting my lil Jimny on the selling block but could see myself picking up another one or even going big and getting a Patrol or LC.
Hey Tony 😊 ‘Carsales’ website or app is my far the easiest and most comprehensive way to buy a car. It covers vehicles over the entire country. Also Facebook marketplace 😊
Those jimmys are capable !
Absolutely 😊
Вложено кучу денег, времени и сил 👍🏻
Why would you wait for a gas cooker if you can have induction? Thats something you should look into for the future
😂😂😂😂 well played Chip!!!
This rig continues to impress. Just when you think there couldn’t possibly be room for anything else, on goes another host of quality hardware. Well Awesome job Darren.
Thankyou so much mate I really appreciate the kind words 😊🙏
Starting to sound like a Toyota owner 😂 keen to get my 5 door
Definitely all jokes mate 😊
@@TheLittleRig it'd be un-Australian to take it to heart!
