Hope you enjoy! ✌️
Ps.: I'm sorry if there are some ads during the video. It's not my doing, sadly I can't turn them off.

Im returning again and again to this piece; your channel has become my home. Also, I tried a little experiment. I patched your video into my Strymon BigSky and Strymon TimeLine, then into my home sound system. OMG! It was amazing. It felt that we were collaborating together! Of course I have no way of recording it since I don't have a PC or a DAW, and even if I did, I wouldn't dream of recording YOUR music with MY enhancements. But for my own private selfish enjoyment, it was amazing. Yeah, when it comes to ambient music, I'm certainly a minimalist. In fact, I only have the Hexen modular synthesizer app on my phone + my 2 Strymon effects pedals + my Fender RUMBLE bass amp. That's it. Nothing more is needed. But sometimes I get bored and try other experiments (like patching your music into my system). I'm glad I did. It opened up new worlds of exploration. I put your music on and let it play all day long and all night long. Nothing is better! I love playing your music while enjoying a fine cigar or a nice tobacco blend in my pipe while also sipping a sweet and refreshing cocktail or nightcap. Or even while having my morning coffee or my nighttime snack. In truth, there is no wrong time to enjoy your music, Grego. You have truly enganced my life and I cannot thank you enough. Mark
Grego, this peice is incredible. I'm 60 now and have been practicing yoga since 1978. I even taught yoga for a few years in the early 2000s. I do try to live a healthy yoga-based lifestyle, and your music is right inline with my philosophy of slow living. I cannot thank you enough.
Grego, this is just perfect. Utter perfection. It's 4am and I've had this piece playing all night. I can't even count how many times I've got to to hit the play button again! Question: do you have any of your music on CD? I would love a CD, because that way I could put it into my CD player and play it all night. I could also play it in the background while filming my cigar lounge videos and feature your music on my channel as well.
TH-cam is currently the only place where I share my music. I haven't considered releasing it in a physical format, but we'll see what the future holds.
@gergofuxreiter I totally understand. TH-cam is the only place where I put my videos, too. I don't do any other social media, so yes, I can completely relate to what you're saying, Grego. I like the idea of being "underground," of having a small channel, that caters to a small group of people. I've NEVER been driven by large-scale commercial success. What motivates me is art for art's sake, if that makes any sense.
It completely does make sense!
@@gergofuxreiter 🤗
Hi Grego. I'm not sure if I've told you this before, but you're the only ambient channel that I'm subscribed to. I know you've only got 6 videos here, and you don't upload often, but that doesn't matter. I love your work. In my mind, your work is like smoking a fine cigar or sipping a great Scotch. It's meant to be savored slowly. So 6 videos and many months in between uploads is perfect. It speaks to my minimalistic nature at heart. Just for the record, even though my channel is an ASMR Cigar Lounge channel doesn't mean I'm not a fan of modular ambiance. In truth, I am. In fact, I'm a huge modular junkie. When you combine modular synthesis to ambient self generation, I'm in heaven. In fact, prior to the pandemic, I used to record my own music. But I don't record anymore. Now I just play my music live here at my little apartment, and for my own enjoyment. Your music is great. I love it. PS: I know this comment is longer than most. Well, being an ambient musician myself, I know it takes a lot of work to create such masterpieces, so I felt your music needed a more thorough comment than the typical, "love it." Mark
Mark, Thank you for your comments and kind words. It really means a lot to me knowing that there are some people who like listening to the music I create. There's a lot more coming in their usual slow but steady pace.
@gergofuxreiter Oh Grego, that greatly pleases me! I truly look forward to your new releases. You know, in today's fast paced ADHD world, where people are only concerned with consuming short clips of the videos (even my own analysis claims that people only watch 1 to 2 minutes of my videos before clicking away to something else), I am so glad for your LONG videos. Not only do I watch your entire videos, I most often watch them multiple times! There is just something so peaceful and soothing about your music, and I feel that's what we need today, in our crazy fast-paced society. We need to take our time, step back, step away from the rush of the rat race, and embrace the slow life. In fact, that's why I make the kind of videos I make. Thank you, Grego. Thank YOU for bringing soothing relaxation to my slow way of living. Your friend, Mark
Grego, thou art truly an ambient Synth Lord! PS: I love the little suitcase synth.
That's amazing ♥ Do you have a list of the modules used?
Thank you so much! I have put my modulargrid page in the description, but I have updated my case since the release of this piece quite a bit. If remember correctly, these were the modules used in this video (in order from left to right): Top row: MI Stages, MI Veils, MI Links, MI Shades, MI Ripples, MI Tides, MI Rings, MI Beads Second row: Tiptop Audio Buchla 281t quad function generator, MI Branches, Instruo Ochd, Noise Engineering Lapsus Os, MI Kinks (clone), Doepfer A-156 Dual Quantizer, MI Marbles (12hp clone)
@gergofuxreiter thanks so much ✨
This is my eternity
this is so beautiful
Very peaceful 😊
Grego, this piece is fantastic. I'm an old ambient music junkie (60 years old, to be exact), and if the ambient music is made with modular synthesizers, then I'm utterly in heaven. Thank you for this! Mark
Mark, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so happy that you enjoy listening to my music. I wish you the very best!
@@gergofuxreiter You're very welcome, Grego. But in truth, it is I that should be thanking you! Your work brings to mind a sort of Matrix paradox in my mind. I always thought Neo's apartment was so cool. But what totally blew my mind was the fact that his apartment, and his entire life, was just an illusion, because the entire time we thought he was actually in his apartment, working on his computers, doing his hacking work, he was really in the pod. What a mind trip! And now, here I am, in my apartment, listening to your lovely music, in autumn... and autumn is my favorite season... But am I really here? Or am I actually in a pod somewhere? In truth, it really doesn't matter to me. I've always embraced the idea of eternal hibernation. Yeah, I've always been sort of a hermit. I'm most comfortable being alone. And the older I get, the more reclusive I become. One of my fantasies is to climb a tall mountain (alpine hiking is a passion of mine) and find a cave, similar to the Grinch cave, or even Zurathustra's cave, and just hibernate away from this crazy society of ours. In my little cave, your music would be playing 24 / 7, and that seclusion would be my paradise. That probably sounds crazy, I know. But it doesn't sound crazy to me. It sounds like pure tranquility. Thank you, my friend! Mark
nice rimowa case!
Thank you! ❤
Greaaat stuff! This was the background music for my late night system theory study session :D
That's lovely to hear! Thank you for sticking around and good luck with the studying.
Perfect as always! Would love to see a patch breakdown.
Noooooooo! Keep the mystery! Would you ask a magician to show you how he performed an illusion? No! It's equally rude to ask a Synth Lord for his patch notes!
Great to meditate to. Thank you 🙏❤️
Something seems to be wrong with your case. It looks like you haven't maxed out your credit cards yet.
Yes, I have learned that you have to be very careful not to overspend on modules. I found that the faster I buy modules the less fun I have with them and the less I learn them. Nowadays I only buy a module if I'm sure that I need that particular thing and I can't recreate its function with my existing set of modules. That being said, my wishlist is still reeeally long.
@gergofuxreiter no doubt. I have a rack on modular grid for my wish list. Despite being the largest size you can get as a free user, it's mostly full.
Really nice work here!
Very nice.
So great! Would love to see a case tour.
I'm planning one in the near future!
This was the soundtrack of my work today. Love it!
Thank you, I'm really glad you like it!
❤
Very nice. I just noticed last week, to my dismay, that Mutable Instruments went out of business...
Yes, I was sad to see them go because they are my favourite module brand. At least I managed to find a few good deals on some of their modules. But I hear that the clones sound just as great so not everything is lost. Thank you for listening!
In best Eno style 👍
WOW! Just wow. This is the piece that made me a subscriber. Thank you for this. I have a new favorite ambient jam.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really glad you enjoy the music. Lots of more like this to come!

wonderful wonderful music.. .pure meditative... pure ambient.. I love it
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful day!
one thing I never understood is the wires and where they go!
You can think of the patchcords and the patchbay as an old fashioned telephone system. It's how the modules "talk" to each other. Their communication is how the music is made. In reality, the electronic voltage is transformed into sound. It's really pretty cool. But I agree, it's a lot to wrap your head around! I think this is why I love modular synthesis more than any other kind of synthesizer. It's the mysterious way the music is generated. In my mind, electricity is a living entity, and in so being, essentially, the modular synthesizer is also a living being, so to speak.
Hello, Gergő. I saw your Notion templates on Etsy, and I'm curious if it is possible to contact you for a few questions about what you have changed to make a great result with one of the last of them in the first month compared with previous listings?
awesome
Great bath music. Turned this on, sank down so my face was barely above the surface, and closed my eyes. Very nearly went to sleep. Thanks :)
I cannot be more agree... it´s a beautiful music bath
Nice! Is it "Paulstretched"?
Thanks! Everything you hear comes straight from the modular, I didn't use any external effects or software.
Lovely work on this George !
Thank you so much!
i'm new to this... what "generative" means? thanks bro
Hi! Generative in this context means that the modules in my system are connected in a way that they basically play themselves in an ever evolving, never repeating way with no interaction from me. I just connected the modules, dialed in a few things and let them play. The term generative music was first used by Brian Eno who used computer programs to reach basically the same results: “any music that is ever-different and changing, created by a system” Hope this helps clarifying it!
@@gergofuxreiter I love Eno's work. And Grego, your work is the closest to his that I've ever come across. I have tried my hand at generative music. It's much harder than it looks. But you've clearly mastered it.
7 minutes into my flight, my space ship crashed due to AD interference. I managed to repair the damage and get back off the ground but at 12 minutes, my ship was clobbered by space debris [aka another AD!!!]. Then, at 19 minutes, while lying in my smoldering wreck of a craft, low-and-behold an asteroid landed right on top of it [aka another AAAAAAAAAADDDDDDD!!!!!!!] -- what are the odds?!?!? Needless to say -- I WON'T be subscribing!!!
I'm sorry for your experience. Believe me if I was able to, I'd immediately turn off ads on all my videos. This is sadly not my doing but TH-cam's and the only way to turn them off officially is for me to become a TH-cam partner. For this you have to have a certain number of subscribers and view hours on your content, and since I'm only trying to share my music here and not become an influencer, that's a bit out of my reach at the moment. Until then I'll always recommend using an AD block extension on your browser capable of removing youtube ads. I have great results with uBlock Origin in Firefox.
🌟@@gergofuxreiter Grego, THAT's why I love you so much! You're like me. I'm NOT interested in becoming an influencer either. I'll NEVER monetize my channel. And I don't subscribe to channels that do. I have subscribed to your channel. I love your music. I am an ambient junkie. And I adore modular synthesizers. I don't have a real modular synthesizer yet. But I do have the Hexen Modular Synthesizer app on my phone. I patch it into my Strymon BigSky and Strymon TimeLine and that goes into my Fender RUMBLE bass amp. But without a PC or DAW, there's no way for me to record my music. So I just play it live for my own enjoyment. Sorry this is so long of a comment. But hey, I'm 60 and have a lot of spare time. Hahaha. I also practice yoga for over 50 years. This is my new yoga music. I can't thank you enough. Mark
Love it. Also very lovely imagination - skiing on mars. What was your sound source for this patch? Only rings? And is the bard quartet doing these great chord progressions? Anyways, it is very inspiring. I also want to try a more generative evolving patches next time.
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like it. The sound sources were Rings and Ripples as an oscillator. The BQ has a few different chord progressions programmed into it, and it swaps between them every now and then based on a S&H. This was my first patch with it and I'm still learning it, but it's an awesome tool for the type of music I like to make. I wish you luck in your modular journey!
Ad in the middle of the performance! BOOO!
I'm really sorry. Sadly that's not my doing, and I can't turn them off. If you are looking for browser extensions, uBlock Origin works wonders for me ;)
Ads are put in by Google/TH-cam, not the content creator.
Steve, I understand where you're coming from. I think it totally sucks that TH-cam does that, especially to channels that are NOT monetized. Our commercial society is driven by greed and the ability to make money. And that is totally counterproductive to those of us that create art for art's sake. But what can we do about it? We ARE on TH-cam's platform and are under their thumb. Nonetheless, I love Grego's work and have subscribed to his channel. It's no bother to me to click "skip" when an ad pops up.
PS: one more thing, Steve, you're NOT alone in your frustration. I'm sure this upsets Grego as well ~ as it does to ALL content creators. First, Grego's channel only has 297 subscribers. According to TH-cam's policies, a channel needs a minimum of 1000 subscribers before it is allowed to be monetized. Yet, here we are, witnessing how TH-cam makes money from channels long before they are allowed to earn a penny. It's not morally or ethically right. In my opinion, as channel creators, we should be offered a questionnaire before we even launch our channel and asked if monetization is something we want. If we choose no, then not only will our channel NEVER be allowed to be monetized, but TH-cam should respect the decision of the creator and NEVER place an ad on any of the videos regardless of how large that channel's audience grows. I can't speak for everyone, but I know I am not now or ever concerned with monetization of my channel. And how lucrative are those silly ads anyway? Does anyone actually buy anything from them? I know I don't. I've been watching TH-cam videos since TH-cam was launched (2006), and I have NEVER watched a complete ad. I always click off. I've NEVER bought anything from a TH-cam ad. So in my opinion, they only serve two purposes... 1) to waste the company's money, and 2) to annoy the viewer. If I was a company, the last place I'd advertise would be on social media.
Reminds me of "Inside the Deku Tree" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Really enjoyed it! Funny enough, it doesn't make me think of space travel, but of a deep forest :) Wishing lots of success for your channel 👍
Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! The naming conventions I use come from my very first upload, which made me think that this type of music is good background music for two things: joga and space travel. Thank you for the well wishes, I hope my little compositions help you relax and take you to wondrous journeys through beautiful imaginary places.
@@gergofuxreiter Yes! Space travel. It's like I'm on a deep space junker, I've got a 150 year journey to the next spaceport, so I get into my suspended animation pod, click on this music, and drift off to a long and peaceful sleep...

Very nice! I'm working on generative stuff too and trying to get a channel up and running for folks like us as well.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
Very nice work, congrats! Are you shorting this with a specific camera or adding the blur in post? I stare at my modular in the night more often than I’d like to admit. Gotta love those little lights! 😅
Thank you so much! I used my small DSLR (Canon 100D) to capture the footage. I have some vintage lenses, If I remember correctly, I used an SMC Takumar 35mm 3.5f lens here. I was playing around with the focus when I realized how beautiful it looks completely defocused. I only added some slight color correction in post, nothing else. I sometimes feel like a moth, just staring into the pretty lights of my system :D
Great work with a minimal setup. Superb!
Thank you so much! I try to improve and grow alongside my system!
Happy to see that you are making new videos! Awesome composition, perfect for ✨space travel✨.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! There's definitely more on the way. (I just sold my case so there will be a short hiatus while I put the new setup together. I was actually thinking about going back to the Moog 60hp + norns. Or I might build a travel case from a suitcase.)
@@gergofuxreiter I have an Arturia Rackbrute 6U for sale, but you will not get back your Moog 60hp, sorry. Looking forward to your new setup! ✌
