Happy to hear you enjoyed this one! I gave it 4 stars, loved the first part, but then it took a route that just wasn't really my thing. But the beginning was wonderful, having guests that just won't leave is my nightmare! The author is very talented, can't wait to see what he does next.
Loved this one. When she saw the child on the basement stairs that then stood up into a much taller being, I yelled "no no no no" at the book. I wanted to spend more time in basement rooms, though, but great mind bending story.
I read this one back in October. The latter quarter of the book had a vibe similar to the end of Episode Thirteen, but this one was better done. Helpful hint to those who haven't read it yet: pay some attention to the weird map shown in the beginning, it will help draw some interesting conclusions later. I've heard it's going to be made into a Netflix film; if so, it will probably be pretty wild, and I'm here for it.
I just finished listening to this, and I'm not exactly sure how to feel. I missed out on decoding anything since I listened to it (and didn't realize it until I watched this video), so that probably didn't help. What is odd is that I'm also in the middle of house of leaves at the moment as well. I think I would need to physically re-read it to appreciate it.
Seems like everyone is reading it these days but me, especially on Goodreads. It seems interesting but something is holding me back for some reason. Some books has weird effects.
Great review! That sounds weird and scary. The book cover art doesn't seem very horror. I'm wondering, what makes Eve and Charlie a queer couple? Thanks!

So picking this one up! Love your reviews, I end up reading a lot of what you recommend. Your make up is gorgeous!
This was one of my favorite horror books of the year. So many questions and definitely worth a reread. Thanks for the great review.
This blew me away with how good it was.

I need to re-read because I obviously missed something.

The AI said Charlie is a female who goes by she and Eve's identity preferences aren't really explained. My sister helped me find this info. Thanks!
