Loving the Swedish representation in this video, The Ritual and The Lost Village. 😁
I own Bone White, but haven't read it. I have not had the greatest time with a couple of other Malfi-books, but maybe I should give this one a chance, I do like small town, wintery stories...
The Boatman's Daughter sounds amazing, on to my to read-list it goes!
I think every Haunting of...-book by Darcy Coates have been very atmospheric, I just love to step into the world of those creepy houses. Especially Ashburn House, I found that one to be especially effective.
Your eyeshadow is so pretty, I hope you had a great time!

I am the same with Malfi. DNF black mouth, Snow or December park. Bone white however was great. Maybe give it a chance

@@geoffdenham5063 I think I will. It's supposed to snow next week, so perfect ambiance will be in place. :)

@@mariewesterlind I completely agree with Darcy Coates!! I didn’t want to put her in this list simply because my haunted house and cozy horror lists featured her so prominently. But she definitely belongs here. And I loved Bone White. It’s the book that really got me into Malfi’s work and one of his strongest imo.

These all sound amazing. I'm especially intrigued by The Boatman's Daughter as I love southern gothic stories. One I would recommend if you haven't already read it is Echo by Thomas Olde Huevelt. I found it to be very atmospheric and extremely scary and creepy in parts.

I feel kind of guilty for you making this list but thank you. A lot of good choices. Haven't read them all but will check out the rest of them. Especially The Boatman's Daughter. 🙂

The second half of The Ritual ruined the book for me. I was so angry.😣
