Epic Himalayan Thar hunt in Nepal
มุมมอง 37K14 ปีที่แล้ว
Join me on a hunt for a record book Himalayan Thar in the mountains of Nepal in the Dhorpahtan hunting reserve which is basically several days hike from the nearest basic civilisation. We did this hunt on the way out the mountains after a successful Blue sheep hunt which was conducted at much higher altitudes. The altitude in this hunt was around 12,300 ft which was no problem at all after the ...

Record book Blue sheep After the shot in Nepal 2009
มุมมอง 10K15 ปีที่แล้ว
After taking all the usual pics I decided to make a short video speech praising just how well the rifle and bullet worked dropping the sheep in his tracks at over 400yds. The bullet used was a 210gr Berger VLD bullet and the scope on the rifle a Swarovski 6-24X50 and the Rifle an icredible RifleCraft of England .300Win Mag that shot a .4" 3shot group at 300yds at 16,000ft and a .75" 3 shot grou...

Muntjac Buck cant resist the squeek !!!
มุมมอง 27K15 ปีที่แล้ว
Look how this buck comes in and just cant leave due to the sound of me making a simple squeeking sound with my lips. No calls etc used This is a buck that is still a yr or tow from producing his best head. By the length of his pedicles and the size of the velvet growth, once he has grown his horns back and cleaned them which he should have done by early Aug I estimate him to be about a 5-8cm .
.17HMR Rabbit Kill
มุมมอง 4.8K15 ปีที่แล้ว
Young rabbit hit just behind the shoulder with a .17HMR from about 70yds! Rifle used a Sako Quad with a Zeiss 3-9X50mm Look how it cuts the grass down behind the bunny. The round exited and made about a 1.5in hole through the bunny. Got to say it the .17HMR is the best little rabbit killer ever!!!

How could you kill such a animal which makes these noises? I know that you are actually pretending them in this video, but they make these sounds. You have to be such a monster to kill them! HOW`?

i am from nepal and i have done research on thar, i walked 3 days upside the mountain just to find this animal which is really rare, you people shame on you

    • @pureprotea1
      @pureprotea1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

+sagar giri I totally understand your point but perhaps you should spend a little more time researching as to how hunting is actually protecting the species. I think you will find it interesting. Have a good day :-)

this is really disturbing, thar is a rare animal. instead of protecting this animal people are hunting just for enjoy?

@Jaidi...this is a Thar..local call it as Dharkay..means one wit white strips something that looks like a garland around the neck part. Goral is smaller in size and another specie of Thar looks like Goral but has no garland around the neck. ...But i am very sad to see such a beautiful animal being slaughter this way. Moreover its on the verge of being extinct....

Good job! Did the bullet pass through? What was the yardage? Do you recommend that bullet for deer 400 yds and in, or just long dist shooting?

good hunt, and good aim. the camera should've been on at random occasions, probably that gives an idea of the terrain and the position of the thar. were there no other creatures around - foxes, snakes, leopards? sad to see a beautiful animal being shot, though, at the end of it all.

Yeah thats what I do for a living.... Mostly with clients Believe me we've shot Muntjac of all kinds and shapes and sizes although now Im very selective and really try to manage them and rarely shoot doe's and bucks untill they have reached their prime. My Squeek seems to work far better than the Buttalo calls and works incredibly well on Rutting Roe bucks and even Chinese Water Deer!
