Great video. I was struggling to weigh awkardly shaped things like vegetables and weighing cooked vs raw and what labels weigh cooked or raw idk
For the spoon and the peanut butter you can add a parchment paper or plastic food wrap with the spoon on the scale and zero it out and measure your 16 grams that way. But the negative measuring is genius!
When you said 3 cups of rice I felt that 😂😂😂 For anyone wondering he measure d 113.4 grams (4 oz) of chicken 70 grams of broccoli 90 grams of rice = 273.4 grams of food Conversion to calories Calories = grams x 7.716179 So inputting everything: He measured out to eat 2,109.6 calories. Feel free to correct me if my information is incorrect. And then from a different video for calorie goal formula is Goal weight x 12 = the calories you need to eat So inputting his information his goal weight is 175.8 lbs. To the youtuber please follow up if my numbers are correct or the application is a close approximation. I am very into numbers so I just wanted to post for those who also are the same. Very informative video thanks for posting.

I can’t wait to get my scale in the mail today. I’m a mother of one. I’m 323 pounds. And I want to get this weight off me. What made me want to change is my son turned eight last week. For his birthday vacation I couldn’t fit on the rides he wanted mommy to ride with him. My almost 70 year old mom played it off as the happy hype grandma and rode with him instead. Y’all I was So embarrassed inside and it really broke my heart. I have tears in my eyes typing this…..I’ve never been on a diet, haven’t exercise since school . I completely changed my diet a week ago. I walk three miles a day and meal prep (without scale) using measuring cups. I can’t wait to see the outcome in the weeks ahead. I have been educating myself on weight loss and nutrition and IM GOING TO LOOSE THIS WEIGHT FOR MYSELF! And so I can live longer for my son. He deserves it!!!

I have been doing my portions based on half cup and fourth cups. Also just googling. I thought i was right but it’s a month later and I’ve only lost 1lb. Buying myself a food scale today! Great video, ty.

Hi just came across your channel. Oh my goodness you are such a great person. You have hit the money right on the nail. I’ve been looking for a video to teach me how to properly use the scale that I bought and receive from from Amazon yesterday because I'm on a weight loss journey and wanted to start using a scale to measure my food so I can lose weight and stay in a calorie deficit and start being more healthy. I was looking for someone that prepared the food and then show how to correctly put it on the on a plate using the a scale you did that and More I appreciate it and thank you so much God bless you ❤

Why did you measure your chicken in ounces?
Standard practice. Ounces are easier increments to gauge than fractions of a pound
I lost 25 lbs: for lunch, my main meal I put 50 grams meat/50 grams roasted potato chunks/50 grams veggies/50 grams sauce in a container on the food scale, then put in pot with a little water to spread the sauce evenly, put a little Club House Meat loaf mix powder in it, a half tsp is enough, and it makes a great small meal, very filling. in combo with 50mg zinc gluconate/day (cut pills in half= half am, half pm); and the natural thyroid combo of lugols iodine/tyrosine/selenium (800mg) before bed, with 300mg magnesium before bedtime, and the weight just SLIDES OFF! i have 1/4 cup raw oatmeal/applesauce/stevia/allspice mxd for breakfast, very tasty! and meat/fruit for dinner; very filling. no sugar no coffee no alcohol no drugs of any type; im within 5 lbs of my high school weight now.
